MGM Character Meal Update Thread

Spoke with a dining CM just a little bit ago (we had to add a few ADR's) and she was very nice. I off handidly (is that a word?) asked about the new character meal at MGM and she said "let me check and see if we can book that yet." She came back and said "no, not yet". I asked if she knew when and she said "well, I don't have a specific date, but I would guess that it would be sometime soon.". I then told her that I would be calling again to try and get it for my boys and she said "yes, keep calling. It is going to be a good one".

So, just thought I would pass on these encouraging words.

Have a great night. :cool1:

I just hope I can get in so I can be :woohoo: !

That is good news, thanks for the update. Hopefully something will happen soon, with three boys I feel like the pressure is on for some strange reason.

;) Going in May for DS 5th Bday. Hope they open it up soon!
PS-THANK YOU! pixiedust:

I called for the lunch this morning 2/11 and I wasn't able to book it yet.
Still waiting.........

We'll be there in 6 weeks so.......here's hoping............. :yay:

When I called for my ADRs this morning the CM joked about spreading a little extra pixie dust. I immediately told her that if she wanted to spread some magic, she could let me know they were booking the Heroes breakfast at MGM. She had no idea anything was in the works. I told her about the widely known "Sarge" audition announcement and where she could find it on the Disney website. She took a moment and read the posting! "Ooooo, See -- you people know more than we do!" LOL. I spent a total of 26 minutes on the phone with her booking 10 days dining and got everything I wanted at the times I wanted (or within 5 minutes), including the Pirate Cruise for the little dude...

Wish I was in WDW instead of in the middle of a blizzard here! To everyone else in the Northeast.....stay warm!

Congrats on your ADRs! We got everything we wanted for August as well. EXCEPT a breakfast at MGM, which would work well for our first morning.

I hope your pirate has fun on the cruise! pirate: I didn't sign DS up to do any cruises because I don't think he would want to go by himself. The rest of our party is adults.

My alarm is still set to go off at 5:40 AM from when I called for ADRs 2 weeks ago. I wish there would have been something to call for this morning, because DH and I were both wide awake after that buzzer sounded!

Well, my CM this morning didn't know a thing about it. My dh says it's a giant hoax. I sure hope he's wrong!

I don't think it is since they had job postings for it. Keep the Faith.

Since our trip is so far off I am unable to book any meals yet. (we are going March 2007) MGM was the only park we didn't have a meal planned for yet. That would be so neat if they started a character meal there too. About the time we are going maybe it will be started. I have to wait for a least a month or so before I can book anything. Waiting is so hard. :sad2:
