Thank you so much for this wonderful thread (and board). I am new here but have used a lot of info from the board to plan my June trip. I have two little boys so I am crossing my fingers that this will happen. When I called yesterday to make some adjustments to my ADRs, the CM told me that she couldn't reserve a character meal at MGM because it was not official yet. I took this as a good sign - she didn't think I was crazy.

Just got off the phone. At least now the CM's are saying nothing "yet". I am also thinking that March 1st will be the day - I'll keep checking though!

I would love for it to be tomorrow since that is my day to book it, but March 1st isn't all that far away.

Just adding our family to the wait list! Out two DS's will LOVE this. Last time we were at Disney the only one to get my then 3 year old out of a not so magical mood was good ole Buzz Lightyear....turned the corner.. saw Buzz...tears gone and nothing but smiles the rest of the day! Maybe Buzz can get him to eat a good lunch too

Hello, I may have missed this in the other postings. I understand the current rumor is that March 1st will be the day we can start making ADR's. Can you tell me what rumors are out there as far as the date the Toy Story/hero meal will begin? We're going in May and I don't want to get my hopes up too high, even though I've got all my fingers and toes crossed.

I just spoke to CM and was told it was a hoax also, also does anyone have info on the breakfast at the castle?

Spoke to a CM myself today making ressies for March and she too said it was a hoax. But then I tripped her up with which characters would be there and she said no to Peter Pan and then all but said it would be Toy Story. She also then used the word "YET" when I re-questioned her about when it would start. So "YET" is better than not at all. I think the CM's have been instructed to keep a tight lid on this. If anyone out there is going to MGM do some spy work and check things out. It would not surprise me if they were to have a "SILIENT" opening to test the waters? Well, we will keep our finger crossed that it will be open for our trip late next month.

It is highly rumored and very probable that Disney watches these boards. They know when something leaks. It's also obvious that a fair number of CM's read and participate in the boards, so that is probably why some have heard about it and some haven't. I'm sure word travels just as fast through Disney CM's as it does at the place I work! It was right on the Disney career sight "a new character dining experience at Disney-MGM Studios." So at least we know that it was/is being planned, whether it will still happen is anybodys guess, but if I were a betting woman, I'd bet pretty high on this one. We'll find out soon hopefully!

I was excited when I was on hold for over 5 minutes. I dreamed of the lines being busy with everyone making ADR's for this. But of course when I finally got through the CM said, "Disney is always looking for new character dining experiences........there is nothing at this time!"

Didn't someone say there was a posting on the Disney job website for 12 additional full-time servers? That sounds like quite an elaborate "hoax". Well, we aren't leaving for 168 days so maybe they can get it sorted out before then!

I have not made and ADRs at MGM for our upcoming May trip hoping that I can get the H&V character meal. Right now they just do dinner, but I'm hoping for a breakfast. I'm hooking up with this thread hoping for first dibbs!
