Wow...Man, I wish I could write satire that brilliantly !![]()
What's that? You mean someone was actually serious about this nonsense?

But in that instance--the Japense were here legally. They did nothing wrong.
Lets see, I typed that around 1:30 in the morning after I got home from my second job for the day. Well excuse me if I was a little tired and am not the perfect typist in the world!! I take it you were able to understand what was written, because if not you would have not been able to so graciously point out the errors!! Thank you very much.POB14 said:An individual who holds the English language in such high regard really should learn to use it properly.

Hmmmm, no, its not our fault, sorry. Maybe if President Vicente Fox worked hard at turning the Mexican economy around and making Mexico an attractive country economically we would not have this problem. Just a thought.

Did the Pilgrim Fathers ask the Native Americans for working permits or did they have green cards when the arrived?![]()
OK, back to topic:
Part of the problem is caused by the USA itself:
-Mexicans are coming to the USA because they are poor and see better chances to make a living in Los Estados Unidos.
-Many of those Mexicans are bankrupt small farmers or unemployed agricultural workers.
-Many of them are unemployed or bankrupt because American corn from US-overproduction was sold at dumping prices in Mexico thus taking away the source of income for aforementioned people.
Talking about the official language:
Please make English your official language and then make taking a language test mandatory for everyone. You could i.e. test the people by making them say 'Nuclear'. Everyone who can't say that will be thrown out of the country, which would solve your biggest problem![]()

Many of the interned were U.S. citizens (up to 100,00 out of 120,000 by some accounts), and the "protection" was due to the wartime hysteria of WWII, and not really due to illegal immigration. Ironically, not one case of Japanese-American espionage or disloyalty was ever proven since WWII.
The Japanese American internment camps are considered more of a violation of constitutional rights due U.S. citizens, rather than amesty for illegal aliens.

#2 - Viking is right. The only way you fix the problem is by treating the root cause. Until their economy improves to the point that people can actually make a living, you can build all the "New Berlin Wall's" and arm as many rednecks as you want, people are still going to come into the country illegally. And no, Dawn, that doesn't mean "throw money at the problem (though, I can understand how a Bush "Republican" might think that). What is the solution? Honestly, I don't know. But I can guarantee that writing a check isn't going to be a large part of it.

We've thrown enough of our jobs south of the border, just look at the abandoned factories in Ohio, PA, and WV. On top of that, we are supposed to let the poor Mexicans who want to work illegally, come here and do so? Plus, we should subsidize the others who can't get jobs or who are not being paid enough by the maquiladoras with our tax money? No thanks.
Instead, let's build that wall and hire those border patrols. Let's strengthen our laws and enforce them. Let the corporations who have relocated to Mexico pay for their charities and social programs. I'm sick of being taken advantage of.
If the Mexican people protested they would at the least be beaten if not shot by the Federalies. Okay maybe a slight exaggeration, but here is an example of things that happen: http://hrw.org/english/docs/2004/07/15/mexico9079.htmdisneyaggie said:Here is my question . . . so what is Mexico's President Vicente Fox doing to better his economy, besides send his people to America? Why don't the Mexicans protest there in Mexico in front of his offices, while the kids skip school to march around the streets to make their statements like they do here in America? Why are the Mexicans not holding him accountable for their lack of jobs and benefits?![]()
I am open to hear any and all answers to this.![]()

We are talking about a country, where people will abandon their cars on the side of a highway if they get in an accident because they get hauled off to jail for being involved in an accident. So many people have no idea what really goes on in Mexico.
