Mexican Riviera July 20, 08...Hola Amigos

Hey Robin I'm also replying from the other thread
I went on the zip line trip in PV I also went out on a eco tour with wild dolphins that morning and that night ended up with sunstroke and missed the pirate party and fireworks!!! I've cruised again since and seen it so don't feel too bad for me!

The dolphins and zip line I booked privately, If you don't normally see wild dolphins and are a good swimmer the dolphin tour was great, A couple of marine research scientists show a video of the dolphins and tell you about the 2 pods that stay in the bay, then you go on an inflatable to spot them we saw a few from a distance then they came closer, the first time we got in the water the 2 animals weren't a bit interested and swam on by, but the second time 3 or 4 animals keep swimming through the group they were very fast and you had to be comfortable diving and swimming with them the dolphins were definitely in charge.
The zip line tour was with the other company to the one disney use they have a pick up in town and when we went to get a cab there we ended up sharing it with DCL staff as they too were using this company. We had a wonderful time I'm a little wary about heights but we really enjoyed ourselves.

In Maz as the others have said we rode with Randi and then met Frank for a city tour all excellent. Organised by ourselves.

In Cabo we took a trip with Shore Trips and rode ATVs through the desrt park we stopped at several points and were told about the geology abd flora and fauna in the desert mostly we went at the groups speed but at one point we were able to do our own thing.
In the PM we took the disney boat trip out to the arch waste of money wish I'd done a local boat trip.

Hope this helps you know where to find me if you need more info.
Lynn

Hi everyone....as you see I went over to a thread that has been up and runnign strong since there 2005 Mexican Riviera cruise. I asked them to post here to let us know about the cruise and the ports.

They were very nice to come here and post so I sent them some Pizza, Icecream Sundaes, Soda, beer, Margaritas, and Chocoletes....:)

Lots to read....hope you can all get some questions answered by all the new info...

:beach: Can't wait to be doing this :beach: :boat:

Hey we have made some lifelong friends on that cruise.........we wish you all the same....................

Hi all - its been a while since I've been here- ok - for this lackey, whom should I pm in regards to updating my info? Looked on the front and  when I realized that I didn't put any info in - I'm traveling with a group of possible 14 but they aren't into posting, I however, am famous for all-nighters and being addicted. Not true - I just have sever insomnia! :lmao:

Anyway, just heard from another friend that they too are joining this cruise so we'll all be one bigger and happier group- OH if we're too loud and obnoxious - would someone please tell us to shut up! :rotfl2: As if that would really work -

OK - let me explain something, I type fast and my brain is always on fast forward but the fingers aren't always as quick also I tend to have a dry sense of humor and I hope that I don't annoy anyone - I really am a nice person. Ask all my friends. Anyway, if anyone knows anything just pm me - I promise I will try and do better about checking in - OK - later gators!

Hey lame brain here just went back up the page and realized that I too went on the July 23-30, 2005 cruise. In Mazatlan, our group did non-DCL excursion and everything was fine. PV we did DCL and Cabo we did on our own. If anyone wants to ask any ?'s feel free.

Sorry if this is late.

Sorry guys - have to change my notifications - long story - but for some reason oldes DD keeps getting e-mail notification even though I ask for no e-mail notification. Not sure what step to take next.

GOT DISNEY - Robin - hope your feeling better - I'm assuming your the one doing the work? Thank you by the way - your a brave soul!

jlawall - have I seen you elsewhere on the board? Your name sounds awfully familiar? Who knows - with my insomnia I may have visited anywhere and anyplace. LOL

Now I'm just getting delirious - I should probably get to bed - :) maybe then my posts would make sense. ok off to make the gallant try! :cutie:

Haven't posted in awhile. I don't know about everybody else but between getting 2 kids to soccer, coaching soccer, coordinating soccer, and getting one kid to dance, my life is insane:scared1: Now I get to add basketball camp and cheerleading clinic and possibly tumbling class. I think my kids have a busier social life than me and DH!

I think I am on the calm part of waiting for the cruise. Last time I was really pumped at first, then forget about it for awhile, and then a couple months before went insane again. I think that's the danger of booking so far ahead!

Well I have to go to work now.

I feel ya Pumpkinbaby...Life seems to be all about the kids these days...We have a little break with the older one not playing baseball this season...

Eeyorlvr - Sounds like you will have a big group!!! Where in Ca. are you coming from? We are in Ventura County. Insomnia, gotta love it...I have it to and am also addicted to the computer..I was telling my friend that I need a 12 step program for internet addiction...

Thanks for keeping us up and running Robin!!!

Have a great weekend (my sons 7th B'day today!!!)

Hi everyone :cool1:

eeyorelvr...just go look on page one for the info that I have been updating. Will put all your info on there(your family) and also let me know how many in your party. I dont need all there names or anything just a number. If they choose to come on here than I will post them. Just put the info on here, no need to PM me. I will look on yosur post and add it to the first page :thumbsup2

Have been busy here also..school, sports and new teen in the house. Trying to adjust to another child in my life. But am on the DIS everyday so will keep bumping us up ::yes::

Sure as the time gets closer more people will jump on board and we will all get to know each other better. I'm looking forward to doing fun things with all the DISers in our group. I'm not so much talking about excursions but other things on the ship.

Hope you are all having a great day and look forward to the time that we can just sit back and have alot of us on at the same time and post back and forth:thumbsup2 .... catch you all later....:)

Hey Quimby - sorry calling everyone by their Dis name - call me Laura or Eeyorelvr - no matter - I'll probably answer to anything - I'm about 15 minutes from the DL, 10 minutes from Knotts - about 1/2 hr from Downtown LA - in the fabulous city of Norwalk. How about you?

Oh yeah - once you find that program - let me know about it ok?

One last ? - does bumping up mean that you just post to bring the thread closer to the top? I'm too can do that as I'm always on VERY VERY late!

Thanks all

Hi Robin - well right now it looks like we are a party of confirmed 13 actually make that 15 but the majority aren't posting. Our table alone will be about 10 I think - I know they can do it as on the 11-Nighter we had a table of 14! :scared1:

Then again - DS-22-then will probably want to get away from us with his 3 so we will be down to 10 again.

Oh yeah - we'll be the ones having :cake: just about every single night - will be celebrating 2 b-days, 3 anniversaries on the cruise. The good news? 2 of the anniversaries are on the same date! :woohoo:

LOL - Did I happen to mention that I'm  ?

Hey Everyone - just wanted to post that if anyone has any questions on DL, I live only about 15 minutes away and would be happy to stop by and taking any pictures of a certain hotel if you'd like. I did this for another thread (the Howard Johnsons) and the hotel allowed me to take pictures of the grounds and post them.

So if this helps anyone, just let me know.

How is everyone enjoying their Monday after setting those clocks forward?:scared1:

Eeyorelvr I would love information about the area. We are considering coming out the Thursday before the cruise. We thought about staying at DL since none of us has ever been there before. What would your recommendations be? I've never even been to California!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

GRRROOOOOAAAAAANNNNN~! We are dying here with the time change. DS is having the hardest time, therefore, so is the Mama. Tomorrow is a new day so we will just make the best of today!

My ds9 is having a hard time too. We had to get up way early yesterday for 8am church service. We had to be there early for his baptism.

Today they start ISAT's (state achievement tests). I don't think the government was using their brain setting the start date the day after daylight savings time:sad2:

:hourglass still counting until the cruise!

Hola everyone:cool1:

lol...I had to let my 10 yo sleep in cause he could not get up :rotfl2: he wakes up at 6:30 which is 5:30 and it was just not happening....my 13 yo wanted to go in late also cause his brother did but he did not have to be at school till 9:00 so he slept till 8 which was really 7:00...geesh...

He has not been late for school in 5 years and never hardly misses school...so was not about to let him mess with his record that he has been so proud of.

They should have made the change on a Fridaty night...give all of us a couple of days to adjust.

Well talking about kids I need to go get one of them and than in the next hr after the other 2 so have a great day hope your all not soooo tiered and I will check back later today.....

Peace out :hippie:

No problem PumpkinBaby - just let me know what the budget is - I can adapt to all budgets. I did a drive by check of the Howard Johnson across from DL last week, the 8/17/08 EB Repo cruise has the details on the summary page on page one. I will see if I can find the exact site and post it here. Bottom line is that the hotel is literaly across the street from DL but you have to use crosswalk to get there (Harbour Blvd is an extremely BUSY street and for safety reasons - you must use crosswalk) The grounds were much cleaner than I expected for being there. 2 -3 restaurats within 30 seconds of hotel. Prices for the group staying there in August are ranging about $80-$110 pr night. However, never despair as there are PLENTY of hotels around. Just what you want to pay and if your in doubt with a couple of days notice I can drive by and take pictures if you want - our family has AP for DL and a CM working there too!

There's plenty within walking distance ranging from 5 minutes to about a 10-15 minute walk. In reality - its probably just a few blocks but because of the way DL is situated - the entrance to DL and CA is within the middle of Downtown Disney and the hotels ring the area forcing you to walk - not a bad one but definitely a sidewalk and crosswalk path adding to your time. Plenty of restaurants around.

The next thing you need to consider is if your planning on doing other parks too such as Knotts Berry Farm -which would probably require you to rent a car. Smaller than DL but if you like roller coasters - this is your park to go too that's pretty close to DL. About a 10 minute drive if that.

Anyway, will post a link if I know how to the review that was written.

feel free to write back if you want! :wave2:
