Hello, everybody! Hope everyone enjoy the spring.
We're planning to drive to LA area for the upcomming Spring Break. Any recommendations on what to do besides DL and Universal Studio? Have anyone been to Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Irwindale? Is it kid-friendly? Yahoo! Travel suggested that The Getty Center and Griffith Observatory are the two most popular todos. Are they worth spending a day there?
Also, I'm thinking of bidding for a 3 or 4 star hotel in LA/Anaheim/Long Beach area through Priceline. Any recommended zones (or the zones to avoid) from local experts?
Thanks in advance!

Vern & Karen!
I'll stay away from bidding for the long beach and LA areas then, as you never know what hotel pops up through PL. The science center looks interesting.
It seems that the Star War exhibit is so popular that you have to have either membership or IMAX tickets to get in (no problem, we're probably going to watch IMAX anyway).
ixiedust: I'm sure you will enjoy it.
all -
im just as much a kid as you are
I love it!
peace out ...
By the way your younger than me....I'm 49 so to me you are a young man
moment and realized - its spring break! yeah!
that would mean major crowds - how sad!
. For the Frye7127you can do DL in a day just pick and choose the rides that your childern would like. If you can get your DH to swing it buy a 3 day Park Hopper pass. Then you can see things at DL one day then go to CA another day Then on the third day go do things that you missed on the other days.
