Sheryl- have a blast!!!
Kathy and Riesmom-
Lorie- ugh, that is a long day, but I can sympathize b/c my hubby has been doing the same, even though 4-6 hours is at home. he has been super busy.
Bethany- from this point on you never know about the weather-it's a take a day at time thing 'round here. I mean a good example is Christmas- 1 deranged year it snows, and sometimes it is cool, and I can even remember having warmer ones. All dressed in cozy, Christmas-y winter wear and tearing it off midway through the day.
We are having a time of it over here too. I am sorry to be so grumpy now and then, but I am getting VERY frustrated. I also want to finish my TR and haven't made the time.
Haley was up all night, crying her head off. About every 2 hours she woke up with extreme ear pain. I did everything I could think of-peroxide wash, tylenol every 4 hours. Nothing was making it better. I even thought about the ER b/c i was at my wits end with what I couldn't do for her-make it go away. But i knew it was probably an ear infection, if not a rupture, and that I could be at the docs at 8. So we were. She has a nasty ear infection. The doc even gave us numbing drops for her ear drum and told me we could use it except if it ruptured and drained out. About an hour after the 1st use, that is exactly what happened-so tonight should be fun if she has pain. I gave her motrin tonight. After her 1st dose of omnicef, she threw it all up-it was a LONG day. After lunch I gave her another dose to see if more food would keep it down and she handled it okay.
Tonight, as I was on my way out to pick up Chinese b/c we slept on and off all day and I am having sinus/coughing issues too (God bless Ash, who completely took care of herself today, completed her school work, AND made us lunch) I kissed Haley on the head and realized she had FEVER again.
Not to whine too much but we also found out our health ins premiums are going up and this has us frustrated b/c it is a LOT more-like $150 more per month. I guess I should be thankful we HAVE insurance and a job, b/c by now we'd have none if Paul hadn't gotten re-employed. We are also planning for the possibility of the house NOT selling by December 31. The least expensive way to do it is for him to go get an efficiency and we can deal with the bed/furniture part with what we have. But we would be prepared to cut back on extras like Direct TV and home phone, eating out (even fast food which is not often) to not get in debt for it.
On top of that my employer hired my replacement already and my hours are getting slimmer and slimmer. I was working about 8 days a month and now I am lucky to get 4. I like it as far as life goes but our budget ain't so happy. I wish they would have just waited for my notice, which I PROMISED them at LEAST 2 weeks when I knew about the official move.
With the holidays coming up it kinda makes me unhappy. At least the kids gift is bought and we had Disney! Which I am so glad we did when we did!
Sorry for ramblin and thank you for reading-I really am appreciative of my Dis NOLA galfriends!
