Hey ladies! Sorry I have been MIA!
I am a little down, my 17 y/o dog-brother(my parents dog...but I was 9 when they got him) passed away this week. He was old and had a lot of health issues. The last straw was his eye, they wanted to remove it.
On the bright side, it is official, we got Free dining and our WDW trip is ON! Our dates are Sept 18th-Sept 26th. Right now I have Deluxe Dining and I am going to budget to see if it would be better for us to do free dining or deluxe. We love to eat at as many different places as possible(shocking a NOLA girl who like to eat) DH wants to do the Luau and I want to do the Hoop, so it looks like we will do both. My boys are really into Little Einsteins so I want to do the Character meal at Hollywood and Dine, plus Crystal Palace and maybe another...IDK
Good morning. I am just getting back from driving carpool.
Those dark chocolate heavenly hash eggs are sounding better and better.
Kristina, are you having a better day today?
Lori, I agree mostly with the dining opinions. I'll give you my .02 if your brain isn't on overload:
Columbia Harbor House--love this restaurant. Best tuna salad sandwich!
Tony's Town Square--this is a tradition for us to eat here.
T-Rex Cafe (in Downtown Disney)--I have to agree with rie's mom. The food was surprisingly good and the kids will have a great time there.
Cantina del San Angel (EPCOT) -- counter service across from Mexico. This was one of my husband's favorite meals last trip.
Chefs de France --this place is beautiful at night for dinner. The streetlights and fountain, such a gorgeous view from the restaurant. Get the profiteroles (ice cream stuffed pastries, with delicious chocolate sauce)for dessert. Those alone are worth going there, food is delicious too.

Well, one day of testing down, four more to go... I somewhat enjoy the change of pace, but the added stress of having a fourth grader this year is not making this a fun week for us. I saw him at lunch today, and his expression said it all... relief, it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be, but he said it was hard so we will see. I actually prefer to hear that it was hard because it usually means he will do well, it's when it is easy that I worry... thats when he brings home a D or F...
I hope the advice helps and doesn't just confuse you!I would LOVE to do this for a living- plan out WDW trips! It would be my dream job!

On the bright side, it is official, we got Free dining and our WDW trip is ON! Work has been very hectic. I am teaching 4 classes a week, doing the events, and birthday parties(oh yeah they took away the position of Event Coordinator, my old job, and kept the events and added birthday parties...so basically I am still doing my old job but for $.60 less an hour), and I work in Custom Framing on Sundays.
Hi everyone, just wanted to say thanks for the warm welcome. I will be out for the weekend because my BFF is taking me to yeah you guessed it, DISNEY!!!We go every 3 years on a mommy trip without hubbys and kiddos and it is great. Will let ya'll know how it went and will post some pics from the flower and garden at epcot. Y'all be good for the weekend. Oh yeah the Strawberry Festival is going on this weekend in Ponchatoula if anyone is interested.
Good morning.
Jwhitewolfd, I am glad Jezzy did ok. I think I would have hit the snooze bar too
lori, I'm glad you posted the pictures. That's a lot of cool stuff.
portocall, sorry to give you the "chocolate bug"
I love all the planning (dining, accommodations, etc.) of trips too. Especially Disney trips. I even like when they put you on hold and you get to hear the Disney music.![]()
Y'all be safe out there today! It has been raining on & off over here, but nothing bad.
Yesterday Alexis was all stressed out & crying about kindergarten Career Day coming up on Friday. They want them to dress up & talk about what they want to be when they grow up, BUT they want it to be a professional or community helper type job. She was sad because she doesn't want to do any of those kinds of jobs! She wants to be a Singer/Chef or an artist or a Magician when she grows up! I couldn't even calm her down. When Chris came home, she finally calmed her down & has convinced her to "act" like she wants to be a teacher. She is interested in planets right now, so Chris told her they'd make a poster of the solar system & she could dress like a grown up & wear lipstick. That worked!![]()
