Hey y'all, I haven't been on much, seems like I'm starting with a UTI. Haven't had one in a while but normally when I get them I get a doosy, very painful. I'll be calling my doc in the morning....

My health drama is my primary care doctor seems to think that my implants have ruptured. When I got the darn things, the plastic surgeon did not tell me until afterward that one day they'd have to be replaced. I promise that I would never have had the surgery if I had known that from the outset. This was in 1990 and there was not much info on the internet about it.

How scary and I'm sorry you have to go through this. I'm sure you'll make the right decision on how to handle this. Good luck.

Last week I was sick with a sinus infection... this morning I woke up with a burning chest... I hope I don't have pnumonia again.

Can you believe Easter is less than a week away! I need to get my act together and start getting goodies for my DD and neice and nephews. I know i will spend too much $$$ on candy and junk. Are you guys ready? What's on your menu? I'm thinking of a roast.

hugs to all with issues...i am having the longest PMS week during the fact that I have ever had....and i am just not handling it well. mean client today totally frazzled me and I cried like 15 mins straight at work...then get home and brother e-mailed me he tried to OD on tylenol last night....he is ok but I am jsut so - I can't even find a word to describe anymore. sorry I am tired of being sad and tired of whining....thanks for letting me come here and do it. think i have compassion fatigue...so many people have so much going on and I care about them all so miuch...but it is just getting to me. i need some fun

I wanted to tell you what I do for my UTI. Get some powdered Vitamin C at GNC or a health food store. Dissolve about 1/8 tsp. in a glass of water. I put the powder in first and it dissolves more easily. It is very tangy! I do this throughout the day about 3-4 times. I did not take any antibiotics and when I went back for a urine check, it was clean. Of course, I'm not a doctor and I'm not saying that it will work for you but I just wanted to share my "cure". BTW, the way to know when you've had too much "C" is you get the runs. This never happened to me though because my body was using it all.

actually, i'm a vet tech...which makes the insinutation that i'm not looking after my patients all the more hurtful - they can't talk to me! you can't believe how atuned i am to my patients!

for what it's worth, it was only said b/c my regular doc was frustrated that the new doc wasn't more diligent in getting iv fluids started. we talked about it at the end of the day, but it was still said to me and left me feeling rotten, useless and unappreciated the rest of the day.

, ho, i forgot.... now THAT sounds like a cool job.

You are all soooo creative. I have NO idea what we are even doing, nor have we decorated.

I think I will make a big display of decor overnight the night before Easter.

We have a busy weekend:
tonight is our Mega Fest-like a social studies fair
tomorrow is my DN's birthday in Prairieville
tomorrow night is our field trip to BREC Observatory
Sunday I work and the kids and DH going to an Easter thingy at my mawmaw's assisited living place on the southshore
Monday I work.


BTW- what are the set in stone plans for next week with everyone getting together. I know you all were getting together Monday for bugs and burgers. Anything else?

Whatever is on the menu at the Sheraton Atrium downtown or at Texas de Brazil LOL.

Chad and I are going solo this year for Easter day. I think my hormones are going insane since surgery.. I am not interested in hanging with anyone but my handsome boys LOL. Everyone else makes me crabby ; ).

I'm feeling much better, thanks for asking! I have an awesome doc, been going to him forever. He was closed today but called my scrips in early this morning!

That sounds fun. My mom lives 3000 miles away. In 2007, we started doing an annual trip every April. In 2007 we went to the Mall of America (OMG it is SO COLD in Minnesota!) and we had a great time. In 2008 we went to Disneyland and that was AWESOME!! This year we are not doing the trip together. It should be next week. I forgot about it until just now. We ARE doing a family weekend trip to Boston next month. Not the same, but it should still be fun. I've never been to Boston.

So today, they passed out the "Preference Sheets 2009-2010" at work. I don't know if they are hinting at something, but I got THREE of them. No lie. I would take it out of my box, then the next time I went to my box, there'd be ANOTHER one. I do not even know what to put on it. It has a due date of April 24, hopefully I will know more about next year by then so I can give her an accurate response on the paper.

If I DO turn it in without another job lined up for the fall , I will probably request to loop with this class up to second grade. I like most of them, and they are (mostly) smart so that is a good thing! And I'm not sure I will ever again will I have a class that asks questions like "Is Mississippi a polygon?" and "Is there electricity in Louisiana?" and who will, at random, start singing the 50 states in alphabetical order. I know I'm in for it when I hear the beginnings of "Aaaaaaaa-laaaaaa-bama!"

mean people are the worst...and it is usually the ones for whom you have done the most who belittle and do not appreciate....not always but people don't realize how much caring professionals give of their heart to help others heal or realize their potential....

THANK GOODNESS this week is over! I don't think I could have handled another day. nails and hair in the AM. me time even though have to drag dd there cause husband is working MS walk and something tomorrow nite...

and brother is really doing well. God is really revealing Himself to him and showing Himself in incredible ways. the mailman came early and hugged him and invited him to church. and he never comes early there!! so in this wonderful Easter season of despair and hope, it is great to see God working in such a real way!!

So a friend of mine in Metairie tells me that there's going to be a new show on Discovery Health called "911 The Bronx". This would be great to watch ... if we HAD Discovery Health in The Bronx! Ohhh....the irony!

Okay...here are my tentative plans for next weekend. Hopefully my power doesn't go out while I'm typing this....wind gusts are up to 57mph tonight.

Wed Apr 8...fly in late...hope weather is not evil...try not to get lost driving around in the dark (but I'm bringing Dumbeaux, my fantabulous GPS that is forever "recalculating" trying to keep up with me )
Thurs Apr 9....busy this day
Friday Apr 10/Saturday April 11...these two days are interchangeable as far as plans go. One day will be the zoo and the other will be driving around and doing whatever. Are people meeting up this day?
Sun Apr 12...Easter...goin' to church then eatin' somethin', somewhere...
Mon April 13...talked with Jennifer...plan is currently meet for breakfast somewhere, then go to bug place like 10-12ish then aquarium from about 12:30 on. (from the Audubon website under "calendar": "April 13 Easter Monday All facilities open")
Tues April 14...Fly back to NY

So....big mystery is still the Friday/Saturday lunch/dinner question...
