Look good to me. :dance3:Excited-only 92 days!!! The time will fly.

MsKreamer- it looks great and that you will have full tummy's and a fun time!!

I am going the week before-it looks better and better as the weeks go on, but all depends on where we will be at that time. BUt I made my ADR's too and I am getting more and more excited. We will need a real roller coaster ride to forget the roller coaster ride that has been our lives this year.

I don't know if you saw my list, but it is not half as exciting as Stephanies!!

Our tentative schedule(since we are looking at this today anyway:laughing:):
Sunday- check in early, get lunch, go to Blizzard Beach, eat at 1900 Park Faire
Monday-EPCOT, Tutto Italia for dinner
Tuesday- MK, Tony's for dinner(yes, italian 2x, but we like it!)
Wednesday-Typhoon Lagoon, Ohana for dinner(we couldn't get breakfast! It was booked)
Thursday-DHS, Sci Fi for dinner(No Fantasmic, so no Mama Melrose dinner packages)
Friday- AK, Tusker House for an early breakfast, and we may do that new Picnic in the Park thing-that sounds fun- for a late lunch.

Got it all in the iTouch! Kids still don't know and DH is leaving it up to me. He is the sort who says like 2 days before our trip, "hey where we going??"

Anyway , Stephanie, did you see my post about the icing breaking my mixer??? I am gonna be cframming in my homework this week. I don;t know if I should by a stand mixer but don't wanna spend the $$$$$.

Lori

Good Morning NOLA.

Stay cool everyone because it looks like it's going to be another hot one. We've been at the ballpark four nights in a row and I tell you it's hot hot hot out there.

We're heading to Slidell today for a little shopping and lunch at Cracker Barrel. Have a great day!

Lori-You should get the Hamilton Beach at Walmart that's around $25. It has a great motor, 2 types of beaters and a carry case. I use it for my classes(the first night, and doing demos) so it has gotten a lot of use with this icing.

Still wishing you were close enough to take my classes in Metairie!

Morning Y'all,

Bethany, You were punched in the stomach!!! By a 1st grader!!! OMGoodness!! You poor thing!

Stephanie, Wow that is a lot of food! :thumbsup2 I'm hoping you're on the DDP! ;) We had a 7:30 seating at Cali Grill. We purposely spaced out our ordering, so that we'd be there a while. Our table didn't have a good view of the castle so we went out to the observation deck for 10:00 fireworks. It was beautiful & they do play the music out there! If keeping the kids occupied for a long dinner won't work, I'd would try for 8:00. There really aren't that many tables that have a great view of the castle. So you may want to arrive for your ADR early ( or take 7:30) and tell them you will wait for a castle view table. (Don't just ask for a window seat, lots of window seats but not all views of castle)

I think making all the ADR's we think we'll do, then if you get too tired, just call & cancel it.

Lori, Your adr's look good too! I know there are a lot of opinions out there on Ohana for dinner, but we like it!

Kat, I'm sorry!:hug: I know how hard this is, I'll be praying for you to handle it! In the meantime try not to dwell on him leaving, you still have two months to enjoy your "little boy" being home.

Nana's day off today, so I get to go handle a problem at the bank, return some Land's end shoes & clothes ordered to Sears (so we don't pay shipping fees), shop for something to wear to niece's Tea tomorrow, and another errand that I can't remember right now. And cook DH a nice dinner to replace the barbecue I refused to have on Sunday. Because I'll have to go to Alexis' dancing revue for 5:30 that evening.

Can I just go back to bed? :headache:

Stephanie, that shows what a good job you must be doing. People must love them.

Kat:sad1: I will give you my shoulder to cry on. I am going to be in your shoes next year this time.

Bethany, I was just laughing so hard from your post last night about fitting right in with the ghosts. Then I read your newest post. Are you ok?

TGIF Gang. Working 1/2 a day today.

Bethany girl what is going on up there?

Stephanie & Lori, your ADR's are fine.

I finally uploaded our trip photos to FB.

I can't get the videos to work! I have some really cute one too, Alexis shakin it with the belly dancer in Morocco & her singing acapella at the Beach Club pool.

Would love to see your pics - will you be posting any here on the Dis? If not, can I be your friend on facebook? :)

What happened?

Kyle has an official "moving date"....8/15....:sad1:

 I know this may not make you feel better, but BR is a lot closer that it seems. He could be heading to, oh, I don't know, Florida or somewhere

I am going to get it today!!! Thank you!! I am not ready for a standing mixer-#1 b/c of the expense, #2 b/c of my limited space!! I already store the toaster in a cabinet above my washer and dryer in the garage(lots of cabinet space in there. Part of me is ready to get rid of the kiddie plates/cups drawer, part of me is happy with them still using plastic and tupperware plates. It's not like it is baby siuff anymore. But Oh How I'd love that big drawer for storage!

What happened?

Stephanie & Lori, your ADR's look great! I should have my list finalized in a few weeks.:cool1:

Thank you- we opted, or rather, I opted for places we've never been. Except Sci Fi- if you remember my kids not being happy there in 2/08 b/c we didn't sit in a car......

:hug::hug::hug:Kathy!

Lori

I'm okay, thanks. Something is strange with the reply box on this phone, so details later after I figure it out or get home. :P

Thanks. Yes we have Free Dining w/ the Deluxe upgrade. We are big eaters, and Aiden is going to need lots of breaks. I even figure if we find that he does better then we expect and I can cancel some of the lunch ressies, we will just load up on snacks for the trip home.

The night we are going to Cali, Wishes is at 8pm. So does that mean we should try for an earlier seating and wait around? I mean, I guess it wouldn't be a huge deal if we couldn't see the castle from our table if we were able to get up and go to the viewing deck during the fireworks...:wizard:

Here's an article if you're interested....some of the ideas are a little....ehhh.... (Observation deck in the Lower 9th? PICNIC in a cemetary? :confused3) but overall it's perfect timing for me! http://www.nola.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2009/06/got_time_off_take_a_look_at_wh.html

So the punching...we were at morning line up; each class is in two lines (boys and girls). I was between the two lines, when this kid from the next class over (their teacher was not down yet) comes running through my line, followed by another kid. They are trying to start a fist fight in the middle of my class - who, at the time, were all standing nicely. :thumbsup2 The one behind him got mad that I was in his way to get to the first kid that had run through, so he cursed at me and punched me in the stomach.

I couldn't really do anything about it because punching him back could have caused me to lose my license, and once you lose it in one state for that kind of thing you're pretty much done. :headache: I told his teacher, who thought MAYBE he punched me because I was in the way while he was reaching for the other kid. I said "oh no...this was intentional" and I don't know what happened after that because I took my class and left. A few months ago I got kicked from a different kid in her class.... I'm pretty sure nothing happened to him either. Five days...five days...five days...

So I have these plans to go into the city tomorrow with a friend to visit the new park and go get pizza at my favorite pizza place. We could get over 2 inches of rain tomorrow. I suppose I'm just going to get wet...

Okay...so do I have my act together? I've got housing lined up, job lined up, car loan to get a car, truck booked, flight booked....am I forgetting anything?

I'm excited, but I'm getting anxious now....it's a big change and my mind is going WILD thinking about everything. I guess I should be used to it by now, I got all anxious before going down both in February and April but then it was all good. :thumbsup2

I got yet ANOTHER jury duty summons today. HOWEVER....

I get to call and claim NON-RESIDENCY status for BRONX COUNTY!!!
:woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo:

It is GRAND JURY :scared: with a report date of July 7. :rolleyes1

I'm also ineligible because I served on a jury in this county less than four years ago...geez it was barely FOUR MONTHS ago. :sad2:

sheesh...I've gotten 2 summons since Dec '07. Our population is still so small that they aren't letting anyone out of it (we all used to get out of it every time pre-K), but they always end up cancelling at the last minute. Great, except you've already had to upheave your schedule "in case". :headache:

As for my own :woohoo::dance3: news: I'm going to a vet conference in Orlando in January and my boss agrees to fly me home a day late so I can sneak in a day at MK to ride the new Space Mountain!!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: The hours may be long and the days may be crazy, but she is a good boss. :thumbsup2 This is the same boss that gave me a share of Disney stock for my birthday. She "gets" me. :goodvibes

:hippie: always good to have a boss that gets you! WooHoo on your extra day for Magic Kingdom. Space Mountain is right now tent. scheduled to reopen on 11/20 and we are arriving 11/21... so I am hoping that it stays on schedule. (according to the Orlando Sentinal and a CM friend of mine)

Bethany :teacher: single digit dance away. I can't imagine what you must be going through right now, but it will all be okay. Your coworker is a nut. Does it matter who the little boy was trying to punch, still trying to figure out how punching another kid is supposed to make the situation better?

Hey stranger! I hope that you have a great time.

I got called last January, which i had to go IN and tell them I couldn't do it b/c i homeschooled. They don't let us call, so you haveta go sit for a couple hours to write them a notecard why you can't do it, then the judge comes back like an hour later and excuses or denies you. I sent in a letter, but they said I still had to come in.

They said I'd get called back in summer and by God, I was called back un June last summer! I was hoping I'd get shoved to the bottom of the list again-but no.

I made a cake tonight and it is tragic-I have never had a cake completely falls apart on me before-I left that to my mom! This one will be glued together with almond flavored icing. I just hope non one notices and it tastes good. It is a butter recipe yellow with chocolate b/t layers and white almond icing all over. I am not sure how much time I will have to decorate it. I sorta wanna LSU it up. It may belong on cakewrecks- I'll take a pic!!

Today was the 1st time I told someone that I am doing this to possibly keep me home. It was wierd and scary to say it.

Happy daddy's day to your hubby's!!

Lori

PS- I also love that mixer- my stiff icing did not break it-it whipped right through. I had NO idea hand mixers could be that good. I was thinking I was stuck with breaking mixers or having to shovel out $300 for a nice Kitchenaid. I think my 15 year old one was probably a $10 or $15 one!! But hey, I got a LOT of cakes made and carrot souffle's , etc made with that thing!
