After they leave, I talk to DH about it. I really, really, want to do this. I tell DH that since Maddie is going to BBB the day before and getting her Princess gown, we should just go by ourselves and get our money's worth on Maddies $80 gown. I once heard you have to spend $$ to save it, baby! DH doesn't want to go solo. What's up with that? I'm not happy and pull my crazy wife card. I start trying to sell this party... c'mon, it'll be fun, Maddie will love it, we can have some alone family time. I try everything, and still nothing. So, I must pull the crying game. Yes, I did... I sunk that low. I started with... "Here I am planning this whole darn vacation so everyone can have a great time and no one wants to do anything I want to do. I want to go to the PP&P! I want to go now!" Well, let me just cut to the chase and save some time. We're not going. BUT, DH does make me an offer I can't refuse. More on that later......

Oh, by the way....I ran the P & P Party idea by DH and he's not into it...so, since I recently killed the "Kinder, Gentler Me" and hid her body, my little man and I are going by ourselves!

I ain't missin' it and if he doesn't wanna go...FINE. See ya!!! Leave the light on for us!! Don't wait up!! Buh-bye!!

We eat them cold (well I don't ) with salad or on a picnic, they actually taste OK, the pastry is really nice.

Remember Tracy you want these, I'm sure if you look hard enough at Epcot you could find them or maybe they could do you a special order

Last night Michael and I went to K-Mart and he asked me something - I don't even remember what - and I must've had some kind of crazy question and he goes "Mom, it was just a rhetorical question"...

I nearly fainted, as did the lady next to me...that was his phrase of the night...I heard it about a dozen times...

I don't even know what a rhetorical question is?!?? So of course, there I am in K-Mart, pondering giving V a ring to ask what in the world that is and I asked him where he learned that....

Now I gotta spend my Saturday watching his Lilo & Stitch movies to find out what in the world that is!!!

Is that where you are??? I came THISCLOSE to going to Charleston Easter week but ended up changing it to Myrtle Beach....too bad....

Good Morning everyone, I'm actually up early for a change and on a Saturday

Good Morning Jo. Well actually it's mid afternoon her, so it's almost 11pm there, so Good Night, Jo.

So are these just rumours still or definate? When they announced the UK free dining we were originally booked to arrive the 11th, dining started the 12th so I phoned up had to pay $200 to change dates and got free food Hope it all works out!

Still rumors, at this point. I'm soooo over it. I almost had a coronary going over it all in my head and then on paper. I'm not willing to change resorts mid-trip, so if we miss free dining by a week, I'm not gonna sweat it.

Poor Evan that's a lot of weight to lose hope he's a bit better this morning

The Doc told me to get him some supplemental milk shake, but he won't drink it. It's soooo nasty. He was doing great yesterday. He had some broth w/ noodles for lunch, Miso soup and rice for dinner. Held everything down just nicely. I really thought he was done, so I gave in and gave him a cookie. 4 hours later.... he tossed it up. Back to square one today.

Oooh....an offer you can't refuse???

Yes, he's feeling a little guilty, I think. The "crying game" worked, but not for it's original purpose.

Oh, by the way....I ran the P & P Party idea by DH and he's not into it...so, since I recently killed the "Kinder, Gentler Me" and hid her body, my little man and I are going by ourselves!

Oh no you just didn't compare pork pie to chitlins'. I think it looks more like liver pudding....EWWW, EWWW and double EWWW! But, I am getting a chuckle at the thought of a Yankee in Charleston! Not only do you have to learn Southern, but you also have to learn that Gulloh speak or whatever it is! And no matter how ugly you act, you can't say ya'll. I have a friend who tries to say it, but it sounds more like yule. Freakin hilarious. Oh, but where are my manners? Welcome to the South! Now you just make yerself rite at home, sugah.

It was a regular town me in'. Hootin' an a hollerin'! Crazy gene, confirmed. But seriously, we tried all the different angles. Do we change resorts mid-trip to score free dining for the 2nd half, but then would have to buy 2 5day tickets and roughly the same price? Then we'd lose time moving to a new resort...blah blah blah blah. Do we change our dates to 8/26 - 9/4? But then I'd miss my dinner w/ those fockers. And then kids start school on 9/5. And with the time change, it'd be a nightmare.
But there's a secret why I'm not worrying about it.... you'll have to wait until I update my report to find out....

Well, I'm thinking of changing our dates to 8/25 - 9/4. We can stay at the POP for one night and then transfer to POFQ and get free dining. It will cost us around $1000 to change the flights, but we'll save $3400 by doing that. School starts on 9/5 here, so the kids will be seriously tired, but I'm willing to take that chance as the only have 3 days of school and then the week to rest. I'm doing the FDM work ups tonight. Wish me luck!

BTW, thanks for your well wishes for Evan. He lost 3 pounds in 3 days!! I wish I could!!

sharkB8, I totally missed that you live in Chaaaaalston, too. I lived there a whole 3 months, (till Hugo ripped our house off the foundation and I beat a hasty retreat back to Buffalo). I worked at Bennetton on King St. (?) and the upper crust Chaaaalston ladies wouldn't let me wait on them. Till I adopted the appropriate drawl, that is. And started saying things like "knee-high to a grasshopper." I LOVED it there! Dream of going back some day, though Isle of Palms has lost its laid-back beach charm it seems.

Yuppers, I'm in Charleston. Had to get away from the NY winters, so we up and moved one fine February morning 9 years ago, and here we are. It was 14 below the morning we left, and 81 when we got here 3 days later. I'll only go southbound from here.

Hugo is still discussed here regularly. In fact, if your arrival is post-Hugo, you're not a true resident. Somehow it has become a measure of time

I have friends on IOP. It's still nice, but populated. Folly is the most laid back beach these days. But its falling into the ocean.

Yuk, me either! Even though my parents both grew up on a farm, I grew up more of a city girl....as much as one can be in a town of 35,000. Chitlins are nasty, and the odor when they are cooked is just vomit worthy. YUK, YUK, YUK! I can't stand collards either. But I do like pork rinds on occasion!
