I'm thinking of doing P&P on the 21st (arrival day) Everyone's gonna be annoyed. Bwahahaha!!!

You will love the Pirate & Princess Party , we had a great time, went a second night. The fireworks are amazing!! If you are going to take your daughter to BBB this year, this would be a perfect day to do it, all the little girlies are all dressed up at the party.

Oh man!!! I'm so torn... I really hate to completely scrap my itinerary and start over to include the P&PP. Or do I? :thinking:

Okay, had to catch up, what with my grieving and all I was a bit behind.

Here's my question...what time do you get in? The first night there might be the perfect night to go to P&P. IF you get in at a resonable hour, and you can get the little ones to nap on the plane, you can check in to POFQ, relax if time allows, then head in for the evening. That way you don't have to rearrange the rest of the week.

We went in February and had a great time. The fireworks show is amazing.

Congrats on spreading the familial lime. I saw those lanyards and they are COOL!

And, yeah, August for DL is still a go.

What's this I see? Tracy's thread more than 3/4 of the way down the page on the brink of falling to page two of the pre-TRs? Ladies, we're falling down on the job. We gotta keep this puppy movin'!

Haven't been around the gathering place too much, been busy on the photog board and working.

What’s a pre-trip report without changes, I ask you? Do you know anyone who actually sticks to the original plan? Changes are the best part of the pre-trip planning, if you ask me.
I learned on the Dis that Alfredo’s would be closing August 31st. No big deal, right? Our ADR was for August 22nd. I mentioned to Waldo about the upcoming closure and he asked if we wanted to eat there while they were cleaning out freezer? I guessed not, so I went in search of a new eatery. Not an easy feat when trying to accommodate 10 different palates.
We had tried Le Chefs last year and although we thought the service was wonderful, the food was under par. I decided to give it another try, this time for lunch. I called CRO and cancelled our Alfredo’s ADR and booked Le Chefs. I happened to ask the nice CM on the phone when Teppanyaki would be reopening, she didn’t even know it was closing, but did put me on hold to get the skinny. She told me yes, Teppanyaki would be closing in mid April and would reopen on August 26th. Hmmmm… I thanked her and ended the call. Back to my itinerary, yet again.

The only time we would be at Epcot after Teppanyaki reopened was the 26th and the 29th, or would it? Chacha changes.... I have LeCellier booked for the 26th and I’m not willing to mess with that ressie, as it is one of our favorite places last year. I have Rose & Crown booked for the 29th and I had hoped to reserve an Illuminations Cruise for either the 26th or the 29th. Do I sacrifice Rose & Crown for Teppanyaki. I mean, honestly, we can eat at a Teppan table at any of the nicer Japanese restaurants around LA. But, The Duck family loves Japanese. Daisy is half Japanese, making Hewey and Dewey 1/4th. Would it be “authentic” enough for them? Decisions, decisions…. I’ve hit a roadblock. Do I book Teppanyaki AND Rose &Crown and then decide at a later date which to do? Is this a big Dis faux pas? What about Rose & Crown? Is it considered a “not to be missed” place or can I save it for another time? Do they even have Pork Pie? My personal English favorite. Did you catch that....another time. Did I just reveal a secret? I really just want that Monchhichhi doll I missed out on last time. Yes, that’s right, DH, I’m buying it!

More changes on the horizon…..

So in case you weren’t aware, The Pirate & Princess Party is making a comeback in August. The dates we have in common with PP&P are August 21 & August 28th. I really wanted to go and DH had already agreed to go, should it be offered again. Problem, (surprised? ) since it is a hard ticket event, I had to discuss it with the Ducks and Waldo and the Enabler. Waldo & the Enabler don’t really care to go, so I thought I’d book them a nice ADR alone that night. The Ducks are on the fence and are not concerned with having to pay for additional admission, but whether or not the PP&P is for them. I invite them over after Huey’s baseball game (Yes, my friends, he got a hit and actually scored a run!) to look at the pictures of the PP&P on various websites. Donald doesn’t think it’s something the older boys will enjoy, so they duck out. No pun intended . After they leave, I talk to DH about it. I really, really, want to do this. I tell DH that since Maddie is going to BBB the day before and getting her Princess gown, we should just go by ourselves and get our money's worth on Maddies $80 gown. I once heard you have to spend $$ to save it, baby! DH doesn't want to go solo. What's up with that? I'm not happy and pull my crazy wife card. I start trying to sell this party... c'mon, it'll be fun, Maddie will love it, we can have some alone family time. I try everything, and still nothing. So, I must pull the crying game. Yes, I did... I sunk that low. I started with... "Here I am planning this whole darn vacation so everyone can have a great time and no one wants to do anything I want to do. I want to go to the PP&P! I want to go now!" Well, let me just cut to the chase and save some time. We're not going. BUT, DH does make me an offer I can't refuse. More on that later......

Back to the changes. So, since we're not going, we have to change our plans for the 28th @ MK. I have to cancel Tony's (Aw, shucks! ) and figure out a new plan with the help of lover....errr Tour Guide Mike. I have to change Fri. 8/24 by cancelling Boma and changing that to Rose & Crown. Stay with me now. So, since I did that, I'm changing the 28th to Boma to be followed by Scat Cat Lounge and a hangover. Now that I've changed Boma to R&C, I've got an empty spot on 8/29 for...... yup, you guessed it... TEPPANYAKI! I get to have my cake and eat it too!! Whoo HOOTY!!!

You are such a good person, as i'm not sure I would have the patience to deal with that many family members. Sorry to hear about P&PP no go,men just dont understand. At least you get to take your little girl to BBB, that sounds like such great fun. I have 2 boys so there will be no BBB in my future. Take lots of pics for Maddie(ok and us too).Glad to hear your ADR's worked out. We went to Alfredos in Oct and didnt care for it, the service was great but the food just OK. We live like 20 mins from NYC and are full blown italians so I guess maybe we are a little spoiled.
Cant wait to hear what the offer you cant rufuse is about!!!Oh and monchichi he really is so soft and cuddley---I LOVE MONCHICHI!!!!I still have mine at my parents home, I think I have to have them dig it out for me.

And you've got to LOVE Waldo's view of the world! I never would have thought about the freezer emptying! Tell Waldo he needs to free up a weekend in August so you can bring him to DL when I'm there...got to meet the man!

WOWSERS! I made it! I made it! I got through the whole thing. I had to keep my browser open all night, so I didn't loose my spot this time and have to re-read 1/2 of it, but I go tthrough it!

I am getting more and more convinced to check out your man, TGM. If I don't have dates already booked, is it worth getting on to 'figure out' when to go?

Waldo's in denial...you gotta work on that before the trip...make sure you tape the itinerary to his head, strap the cell around his neck on ring /vibrate, so you can keep track of the poor man.

I would skip eating in France for lunch...I know my trippie is far away from this BOGO subject...just a hint...you may want to skip it.

I'm strapped in for the ride...bring it on!
