Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

Well, now not only do I want to redecorate, but I want a cookie.

Me too...or how about some pie?

That is great the your doc's came. About time!

Painting your room is good for you...keeps you busy.

And away from WDW Dining or TGM rearranging.

Post a pic. We would love to see it.

That's a great, DM! Thanks! Last time, I think I used a mini suitcase for diapers, wipes, various disposable baby stuff and then on the way home I had an empty suitcase for all the crap we bought! :rotfl:

I am packing an empty duffel bag just in case I need more room on the way home. ;)

Yay, Janet!!! The excitement is just buzzing in the air around here! :woohoo:

Ok, I'll spill.....

Where are your docs??? I'd be in a panic, especially traveling overseas and all!

Ok, so let me tell you the story:
When we moved to this house, I redid all the bedrooms. I did Maddie's in Tinkerbell, and Evan's was nursery animals. I kinda just took over and redid them how I wanted to without clueing Andy in. So when I started our room, I wanted like a Moroccan theme, sheer curtains, lots of candles, beautiful fabrics, etc. Well, Andy got mad that I didn't consult him. Can't help it, I was 5 months pregnant and the whole "nesting" thing got the best of me! ;) So, I let him choose the room color to shut him up. Well, that was a mistake of epic porportions! He chose a color called Sunset... something or another... I can't remember. It was nice on the sample card, but when we painted the room it was the exact color of pumpkin pie. :sad2: He refused to change it, so I've lived with it for 3 years.:headache:
Well, last week JCPenney had a HUGE sale on bedroom linens. Sooooooo, I bought a new comforter and new shams, the works. Hey, I got a wicked deal! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.:rolleyes1 The color you ask.... well actually it's green. No, sillies! Not lime :teeth: but more of an Herb green, not really a Kelly green nor a moss green nor a sage with black and white accents. Anyway, it's pretty, I think. I'll try to find a pic. So, said new bedding does not in anyway, shape or form match the pumpkin walls, thankfully. :snooty: So, I mosied over to our local HD and bought some new paint. It's called "cookie", and looks the shade of a butter cookie, go figure! :lmao: My room looks totally different! So fresh and bright, I love it!
So that is the story of why I am painting my room - aren't you glad you asked? :rotfl2:

I actually used a paint that was called "butter cookie". I LOVED it. It was warm and subtle. Better than pumpkin pie!

I LOOOOOOOVE new paint and color. It does so much for a room.We picked colors for our rooms when we were done with our expansion/remodel. I HATED the color of our powder room and laundry room (for the record so did our decorator) sooo......I am now known for having a room painted while my DH is at work:rolleyes1 . The painters come in in the AM and have it done and furniture/stuff moved in and dry before he gets home.Burn LOTS of candles to hide smell. Do you know it took him 2 weeks to notice that "something seems different" around here. Then one day he noticed......thank goodness he liked it. Laundry room is a mocha and powder room baby blue. I LOVE them, makes doing laundry a alot better:rotfl2:
Post pics I love to see ideas of peoples rooms.

OMG!!!! This is too funny:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

What an excuse to buy new bedding :lmao:

Our tickets don't arrive until 7 - 10 days before departure and we get all our park tickets etc when we check in!

 Its almost go time, are the kids getting excited? :cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :dance3:
I think the bigger kids (me!) are more excited! The little ones are having a hard time understanding "4 more weeks". :lmao:
Well, now not only do I want to redecorate, but I want a cookie.
:lmao: The pumpkin pie room made me longing for Thanksgiving!
This is exactly why I don't let DH do anything except the actal painting. If it is up to him everything would be white, white, and oh yeah, white....
Blah! I love color! Maddies room is a dark lavendar, Evan's is Bibbidy Bobbity Blue (::yes::), and now mines "cookie"! I love it.:lmao:

I agree, 100%! :thumbsup2

Check out the picture. The paint girl was telling me about that color. I think butter cookie is actually lighter than cookie. :confused3

What an excuse to buy new bedding :lmao:
Actually, the bedding came first. Of course I was with The Enabler and she really pushed... errrr helped me make the final decision. :rolleyes1

Me too, me too! :rotfl2:
:goodvibes
need picktchaz of the new room!

Ok... but first I'm posting a picture of the wild child that has become my darling son. Terrible 2's has got nothing on the HORRIBLE 3's!! He's become such a fiesty crybaby! He's never had temper tantrums like this. I took his picture because he refused to put his PJ shorts on an flung them across the room. He ran around screaming "Don't take my pisher!!!" :headache: Here's birth control for ya!
NewRoom001.jpg

Ok, so here's the new room color. I had to take it at night, otherwise you'd see a big ol' lump in the bed, otherwise known as Andy! :lmao:
NewRoom002.jpg

I still need some new candles (I don't like the old ones on the little shelf) and a nice painting or something for the wall I'm standing near. I thought maybe we'd take some really great family photos in Disney and have them developed in black and white and frame them in black. :confused3

/
Eeeesh...terrible threes! I agree they're worse than the twos!

and looooove the room! Good job chicadee!

Terrible 2's has got nothing on the HORRIBLE 3's!!
NewRoom001.jpg
HEY, I know that face!!! :rotfl: And I agree - 3 was WAY worse than 2 with my DS. But 4 was great! :thumbsup2 Jury's still out on 5....

Love it, love it, love it! :goodvibes The suitcases all lined up along the wall lends a resort quality. ;)
I thought maybe we'd take some really great family photos in Disney and have them developed in black and white and frame them in black. :confused3
I think this would be just gorgeous! A little hint form one who does a lot of B&W photography - matt them with a faily wide white matt and frame in a thinner black frame. Sets the B&W off nicely! :thumbsup2

I think the bigger kids (me!) are more excited! The little ones are having a hard time understanding "4 more weeks".

Did you make a countdown calendar for them? My kids have been bugging to start our calendar but we are still 190 days out..

He looks so cute, the lil tantrums arent as bad as the arguing wait until Maddie and Evan get to my kids age, they argue for EVERYTHING!!

Love the room:thumbsup2 Is that your luggage on the side all ready to go?

Eeeesh...terrible threes! I agree they're worse than the twos!
and looooove the room! Good job chicadee!
Thanks, G-luv! I thought things got better after 2! He's worse now. :sad2: Too late to trade him in, eh?
Are you telling me that I have MORE TANTRUMS to look forward to?
::yes:: and worse ones to boot!

Lil'l Diz threw like 2...
EVER!
Maddie too! She threw herself on the floor and hit her head. It hurt enough that she never did it again! :rotfl:

Tink...
Daily.
Multiple Times.
Heck Yesterday, it was all day!
I've heard the 2nd child is usually the fiesty one!:headache:

Love the colors. So fresh! I also love the cargo holders in the pics.
Thanks, Jen. I forgot to take a picture before Andy put all the luggage back in there and he wouldn't take it back out, so I got stuck with it in the photo! :confused3
HEY, I know that face!!! :rotfl: And I agree - 3 was WAY worse than 2 with my DS. But 4 was great! :thumbsup2 Jury's still out on 5....
Yes, you do, dontcha? :rotfl: For me 5 is totally different. Still difficult, but for different reasons. There are no more tantrums, just a mouthy attitude. My children are part of the "We're Entitled" generation. :sad2: It's really annoying. I truely believe if we aren't careful, they're going to grow up believing success is a given and not something you have strive and work for. Ok, let me get off this soap box. :rolleyes1

Love it, love it, love it! :goodvibes The suitcases all lined up along the wall lends a resort quality. ;)
You know that's the look I wanted, resort chic. :lmao:
I think this would be just gorgeous! A little hint form one who does a lot of B&W photography - matt them with a faily wide white matt and frame in a thinner black frame. Sets the B&W off nicely! :thumbsup2
You are a pro! :thumbsup2 I had a lovely B&W photo of Great Grandpa Leo and I took it to the framers and that's exactly what they did. Wide white matt and thin black frame! You rock, girl! :woohoo:
Did you make a countdown calendar for them? My kids have been bugging to start our calendar but we are still 190 days out..
I started the Mickey head count down calendar at 60. Guess who takes the Mickey head down each day.... ME! :confused3

Is that your luggage on the side all ready to go?
And you know this girl! :lmao:

Ok, so here's the thing.... we're at 27 days and I'm beginning to feel it. I can't shake the excitement, despite of all the drama floating around me. :lmao: The butterflies are running rampant in my tummy and I've been having WDW dreams already. Last night I dreamt we were in WDW and I forgot my clothes list. I didn't know what I was supposed to be wearing on our first day and I didn't know what park we were supposed to be at! I woke up in a cold sweat around 4am! :lmao: I've got it bad.... this Disney Disease!

My injured nephew Dewey, is healing nicely. He gets his stiches out today! Let's just hope he stays out of trouble. Well trouble that requires medical attention. :) Now Donald is another story. His finger isn't doing well. It still kinda hangs there. He can move it just a tiny bit, but it looks like surgery is inevitable. Now, the doctors would like to do both the finger and the knee at the same time. Donald's a little apprehensive about letting them work on the knee before we go. There can be a lot of complications with knee surgery and he's just not willing to take that chance 3+ weeks before heading out on vacay. You know what he's concerned the most about? His scuba dive at DiveQuest.:sad2: He's worried he's going to have to cancel and he was so looking forward to this experience. In fact, when I told him about it, it was pretty much the deal sealer. It's all wait and see and that drives me up a wall.

So my little room project kept me busy for 2 whole days. What am I supposed to do with the next 27? My travel documents are in and my TA sent them via courier, but they won't be here until Friday. :hyper: I do need to finish our itinerary folders, but I'm almost out of black ink and I'm not in the mood to hit Staples knowing all the school supplies are out in full force. School supplies are my vice. I loves me some new crayons, markers, pens ... all that stuff! :cloud9:

Last night I started to work on Andy's luggage, but we got side tracked by our street being invaded by Emergency personnel. Firetrucks, paramedics and an ambulance. Our neighbors father lives with her and he's like 95 and well, he's 95. He suffers from shortness of breath, heart problems... everything, bless his heart. Anyway, with the heat we've had, he was suffering from dehydration, so the medics came and took him to the hospital. My kids had to run out and say "good-bye" and "get well soon". I never made it back to the room to get Andy's stuff going, as we ended up talking to our neighbor for awhile.

Wait, it gets better.... I've been noticing our pool is taking on a lovely shade of green. I figure it just needs a blast of chemicals and it should sparkle in a few hours, right? Wrong. Apparently our filter pump is going out and not filtering the water so the hoses are getting moldy and pushing green into the pool water. Evan's pool party is this Saturday! :headache: I call around to all the locate pool supply stores to find they're all sold out of what I need. I did find the replacement pump and hoses online, but even with overnight shipping, they won't make it until Monday! Yickes! What to do, what to do. :scratchin: I turned off the pump last night, figuring it's not helping anyway, right? I thought about power washing the hoses and at least they won't be pumping green into the pool, right? I did that this morning and shocked the pool with chems. It flippin' worked! Whew! I still ordered the new pump, 'cause we've got at least another 2 months of heat. Crisis averted, thankfully! :rolleyes1

Waldo and TE went out to oldest brothers house for the day, so I've got them outta my hair. Waldo is going to repaint my brothers bathroom for him. My brother is deaf and blind and his wife has her own issues and they just can't manage to do it themselves. Don't get me started on that situation. So they have my 73 year old Dad doing it for them.:confused3 Whatevah!

And my poor Passporter. :guilty: It needs serious updating and a whole lotta white out. Why don't I learn never to fill it out until at least 3 weeks out? It's got at least 2 layers of white out already! :lmao:

One last comment, I promise! :teeth: My final installment to my CROC collection arrived yesterday. I'm now complete, I think. I ended up with Chocolate MJ's, light blue Athens, lime Athens, black Athens, and chocolate Athens. I think that should pretty much cover me. :rotfl2:

Have a great day and Happy HUMP day! :grouphug:

Lol.. that happens to me every summer :sad2: , so for the last 3 summers I have just been throwing the pools out and buying new ones :rolleyes1.

I hear ya sista! We are down to double digits too and I am totally obsessing about this trip! Can't think about anything else! My latest obsession bidding for Disney pins on ebay. It's worked for a while but you can only buy so many! Now what do I do? My hubby and I are getting away for the weekend (no KIDS!! ) that I think will take my mind off things for a while! :rotfl: But when we get back.... the obsession will over take me again. :rotfl2: :rotfl: HELP I'm a mess! :lmao:

Yee-haw, a rambling update. Those can be the best. First, I want to say that I like the colors you chose for your room. I am trying to go with a tropical them in my. More like palm trees and bamboo but all I have is the bedding. I need to paint the walls and I am not a very good painter. Do you think Waldo could come on out here and do it for me? :rotfl2:

And seeing your son in his terrible 3s...well, I am there right now with Brookie. She may be spoiled a tad because she's the only girl but I still do not allow some things or tolerate other things and she knows it. Oh, you read about her hissy fit in Epcot when she didn't have a card to get in the turnstiles like everyone else. WhatEVER!

Okay, so I'm really late to this party, but, I've spent alot of time in other sections of this site. Outside looking in, you all seem to be friends, I guess this is the new version of pen pal. If I figured things correctly, we will be there at the same time. I like the idea of meeting other "dissers"?? but, I have no idea how you identify each other. I did read your TR from last year but, I can't figure out the abbrevations and, as for 'limey' I thought you were from England, not CA.

So'. I've subcribed to the thread, and look forward to your continued countdown. As for medicating, before flying, I'm with you, there's nothing like a shot of Sudafed to keep everything clear. I'm also into Airborne, though my boys don't love, they drink it.

You may also want to let the Duck know that there is pharmacy that delivers to the resorts, they just charge your room for the durgs and add a $5 delivery charge. Ask me how I know that?? (three boys, 14, 10 & 10) yes twins, and I don't miss the toddler years.

I know just the cure.... 21 or so Lalpu Lapus oughta do the trick! :rotfl2:

You know what he's concerned the most about? His scuba dive at DiveQuest.:sad2:
That's too funny! Are you still anticipating a scooter for him? :scared:

I turned off the pump last night, figuring it's not helping anyway, right? I thought about power washing the hoses and at least they won't be pumping green into the pool, right? I did that this morning and shocked the pool with chems. It flippin' worked!
Brilliant! :thumbsup2 I never would've thought to do that.

Oooo, I think we may need to get you into rehab when your return. What will you do with yourself?

Doctor, Doctor give me the news...I gotta BAD CASE OF LOVIN YOU...

So my little room project kept me busy for 2 whole days. What am I supposed to do with the next 27?

We need to find you a non-Disney hobby.

Anyone?

I thought about power washing the hoses and at least they won't be pumping green into the pool, right? I did that this morning and shocked the pool with chems. It flippin' worked! Whew! [/QUOTE]

Your handy too.

Well maybe you can be Tracy the HandiwoMAN!

I think you just about covered it. But...where's the Mickeys?

I love my Choco MJ's. Wore them almost all the time in WDW last Jan. I also have the Mickey's in red, to match ds. DD has pink mickeys. I tried and tried to get dh to let me order them for him. BUT NOOO, he wouldn't do it.

Guess who wore my red Mickey's everytime I didn't have them on.

unnnhuh! DH!
Have a great day and Happy HUMP day! :grouphug:
Doing the humpty dance...
