Memory Maker, whats next?

Hi:
I had a question on the memory maker purchase I just made. I purchased it while signed into my MDE account and it does show up at the bottom of the "My Reservations" screen with a confirmation number. My question is do I have to do anything else at this point? Do I need to link anything together or do I just get my MB scanned when taking photos and they appear somehow?

You should be able to just scan your band as you take pictures. they will be on the photo pass site. I got an email in November that told me to "save this email" and it was instructions for accessing and the downloading (this actually activates the MM).

I never got an email but i just bought it today so maybe it will show up tomorrow. Once you got back from your trip what did you have to do to use the memory maker?

I used it this week. Like you, I didn't get an email. It was magically attached to our reservations. A plus side is that it automatically collected our FP photos without us having to scan our bands. Saw a lot of mine train pics that I didn't know we had. How cool is that. And videos of us on the rides as well!

In MDE you will see photopass and MM. Go into photopass edit your photos then it lets you download. Since you pre bought and it was linked you shouldnt have any problems.

It is super easy! Just like the previous posters said, have the PhotoPass photographers scan your band after they take your photo(s). We were able to view ours every evening when we got back to the resort (which was usually the first opportunity I took to look for them). You can download and use them as soon as they're posted. The ride pics and videos are available about the same time, although the ToT pics took until the next morning to post. Altogether, we had about 300 pictures from our week. We loved it!

Just be careful when you go on the rides that have the videos (mine train and ToT). Only the person with the magic band that ordered the memory maker will have the videos automatically downloaded. We did child swap, so I have all of the videos from when i rode, but none from my DH except for when we remembered to give him my band.

Thanks. This sounds pretty easy to do. I think my confusion came from the fact that i was trying to check it out before we have had any photos taken. Maybe i confused the system. For the on ride photo s,do i have to do anything to get them? The photopass site said to stop by the ride photo desk and claim them but everyone else seems to get them automatically. Maybe an error on photopass?

On ToT and 7DMT, we got our pics and videos automatically. The Cast Member at EE in AK linked DH's band to our Memory Maker very quickly, so we didn't have to do any band swapping when DH and DS rode rides without me and DD. Just to be on the safe side, I scanned my band at other rides like Buzz Lightyear, TSM, and TT. I don't know if that is actually required, but we weren't taking any chances.
