Member Homecoming Parks busy??

Hi Folks,

We are going to WDW on May 22nd and staying til the 29th. Anyone know how crowded the parks will be? Just curious because of member homecoming and then we also run into the Memorial day weekend. By the way we'll be staying at SSR, which I'm really excited about as well. Anyway anyone have any idea?

In general, park attendance (according to allearsnet.com) for Late April through early June (except Memorial Day weekend) is "Moderate"; it jumps to "High" for the holiday weekend.

Since we've heard that MH is limited to 5-6000 people - and they haven't sold out yet - that shouldn't make much of a difference.

We'll be "Home" at the same time - it's getting closer!

For some reason, I am expecting more of a crowd. From all the reports, attendance is up at the parks. Although MH is not sold out, the DVC's are very booked that week (I am on waitlist for BWV or SSR studio). Combine that with the room discounts that are being offered and I am anticipating a larger crowd than usual for this time of year. We normally travel the last week in May or First week in June and have found the crowds manageable.

Most schools in the south will already be out for summer break, so I would expect the parks to be somewhat crowded, although not as crowded as during a holiday period.

What is member homecoming? Will DVCers be in specific parks on specific days or what? Is there a schedule somewhere?

it is for only 3 days - 2 park days and SSR

when the flower and garden was new - the weekends were horrible at Epcot and MK - very, very crowded - some of the lines were 2 hours LONG - being that is about 1 hour and 45 minutes longer than I will wait - we left and had a great time at the BC.....

I think it can vary greatly on the weekends - depending upon who is playing at the Flower and Garden thing...

of course if someone popular is playing - you want to see it too....So except crowds....
