If you could sit down and meet and have dinner with a celebrity, who would it be?

To follow the DIS rules, let's rule out religious and political leaders.... and since you're meeting them for dinner, they need to be currently living. ;) And you set the rules on what you talk about with him or her...

I am not someone who gets excited by meeting famous people at all. I have met many. Most are athletes - pro wrestlers, by and large - or musicians. I don''t think I have ever met any big name actors other than Sylvester Stallone.

That said, I think it would be quite interesting to have dinner with Roger Waters from Pink Floyd. I would have so much I would want to chat about regarding my favorite band.

ETA: LOL, I forgot to post why I asked... A few months ago, I had dinner with a friend of mine at an Indian restaurant. He told me he had a friend coming, but wouldn't tell me who. So I get to the restaurant and he introduces me to his friend "Ronnie"....

So, I'm looking at this guy and I know that I know him from somewhere. I tell him that he looks familiar, and does he think that we have met before? He smiles and says "I don't think so, but I guess it is possible"....

All through dinner I am trying to figure out where I know this guy from and then it hits me like a ton of bricks! ...........

I was having dinner with Ronnie James Dio..... A solo artist and also former lead singer of Black Sabbath!

That is a hard choice for me. There are several celebrities that seem so nice and likeable or very down to earth. I think overall if I had to chose it would have to be Jon Bon Jovi..:lovestruc I have loved him since I was a teenager...

Ah, well, I have met him several times at the place I used to work. He is a very nice guy. You would enjoy talking to him for sure! :thumbsup2

I am totally envious! :worship: I am glad that the way he comes across is exactly how he is in real life. There are so many celebs out there that I wonder if they are really nice people!

Tiger Woods, especially if he was accompanied by his wife.

I was going to say Warren Buffet because I really could use some good investment advice...but I bet Jimmy Buffet would be more fun... :goodvibes

For a "fun" dinner, I'd pick somebody like Vince Vaughn. I think we end up face down in a gutter eventually, but I'd have some good stories.

OMG Matt Damon!!! Although I don't think I'd eat anything... I'd definitely be a cheap date ;)

:lovestruc

Oh, or how 'bout Paula Deen! As long as she does the cooking, yum! :thumbsup2

It's a toss up between Kris Kristofferson and Viggo Mortensen.

*is there a drooling smiley face?*

Ellen DeGeneres

I'm torn...I've had a crush on Simon LeBon since 1981, so what I wouldn't give to meet him finally...but then, my favourite living author is Neil Gaiman, and I would love to meet him as well...

Or Tim Burton...

:confused3

Willie nelson :)

Aww, Willie! He's from here, our city's treasure. I once grabbed his legs from the front row to try to get his attention. Boy did I get in trouble!

My pick would be Gerard Butler. He looks like a hoot, and quite the hunk, too.

Willie kissed me on the lips right after his concert in Milwaukee just over a year ago....it was the best night of my life!!!!!

Paul Doucette from Matchbox Twenty because he fascinates me. I'd love to see how his mind works.

Another person who fascinates me and I'd love to get inside of his mind is Alton Brown.

Both of these guys have such amazing minds and I would love to see how their thought processes work and what makes them tick. Of course I wouldn't want to have dinner with them both at the same time because that would be overload.

Since it has to be someone alive I would pick Julie Andrews. I have loved her since the first time I saw Mary Poppins and then the Sound of Music. She is one of my top 10. A second choice would be Meryl Streep. She is so multi-talented and seems like she would be a fascinating person to have a conversation with.
