Meet a celebrity for dinner... who ya picking?

If you could sit down and meet and have dinner with a celebrity, who would it be?

To follow the DIS rules, let's rule out religious and political leaders.... and since you're meeting them for dinner, they need to be currently living. ;) And you set the rules on what you talk about with him or her...

I am not someone who gets excited by meeting famous people at all. I have met many. Most are athletes - pro wrestlers, by and large - or musicians. I don''t think I have ever met any big name actors other than Sylvester Stallone.

That said, I think it would be quite interesting to have dinner with Roger Waters from Pink Floyd. I would have so much I would want to chat about regarding my favorite band.

ETA: LOL, I forgot to post why I asked... A few months ago, I had dinner with a friend of mine at an Indian restaurant. He told me he had a friend coming, but wouldn't tell me who. So I get to the restaurant and he introduces me to his friend "Ronnie"....

So, I'm looking at this guy and I know that I know him from somewhere. I tell him that he looks familiar, and does he think that we have met before? He smiles and says "I don't think so, but I guess it is possible"....

All through dinner I am trying to figure out where I know this guy from and then it hits me like a ton of bricks! ...........

I was having dinner with Ronnie James Dio..... A solo artist and also former lead singer of Black Sabbath!

I would also pick Jon bon jovi or Alice Cooper(My 5 year old loves him)

Funny you say Ronnie James Dio.My cousin in law loves him so much she named her son Ronnie James.

Paul McCartney because we're huge Beatle fans at our house and I think he seems so interesting and funny too.

Alton Brown because he's a friggin' genius.

I'm going to go with PapaDeuce, apparently he's got connections in the rock n roll world!!

If not available, I'd go with any member of Motley Crue :yay:

If I could have a group date it would be

1. Donny Osmond
2. Andrew McCarthy
3. Hugh Grant
4. Tim Daly

And for a little entertainment between my drools, we would have to invite Jerry Seinfeld and Ellen!

Not so much anymore, but I used to be friends with Tom Kieffer - the leader of Cinderella, and Johnny Dee ( John Di' Tiadoro ) from Britny Fox.... they had basically one hit, but it was the hit that starred Alicia Silverstone in it when she was not yet known.

I have met lots of musician types through Tom Keiffer, but I have not seen or spoken to any of them in many years, except for Ronnie James Dio...

1. Trace Adkins

2. Denzel Washington

3. If I could go back in time, Audrey Hepburn

Screen Writer and Playwrite - Aaron Sorkin. He is always my first pick - living or dead

Johnny Depp because not only would he be wonderful to look at through dinner  but I really do think he would be interesting to talk to.

For a "girl's night out" it would have to be Sharon Osbourne. I have always admired her for her strength as a wife, partner and manager to Ozzy.

I had to tell my DBF about this - he's a HUGE Ronnie James Dio fan! He even named one of his cats "Dio"... :teeth:

Rachel Ray. I think she would be a great friend :)

John Travolta (been crushing on him for YEARS!).

I met John Travolta many years ago! He is very nice, sweet, and just as handsome in person!

If I could have a group date it would be

1. Donny Osmond
2. Andrew McCarthy
3. Hugh Grant
4. Tim Daly

oh yes Tim Daly, love him! loved him on that show Wings, many years ago!

ok my pick.........thats easy

<----------------------- Bono
I think he would be fascinating to talk to!

I would love to eat with Joel McHale from "The Soup" and watch a little TV with him as well. I know he would have me laughing so hard...

I would also like to dine with Stephen King- I'm a huge fan. Him and/or Ray Bradbury.

For a little eye candy, I would love to eat with Christian Bale- that way he could rant at me "Good for you!":cutie:

Probably Nate Mendel of the Foo Fighters, for a lot of not-DIS-appropriate reasons. :lovestruc But he's also a very sweet man who has a lot of interesting opinions on a huge variety of subjects and I'd kinda like to hear more about why he feels the way that he does.

For a "girl's night out" it would have to be Sharon Osbourne. I have always admired her for her strength as a wife, partner and manager to Ozzy.

I would definitely pick Mrs. O...how FUN would that be?????????????? :woohoo:
