  • Cotton Candy

  • Candy/Caramel Apples

  • Elephant Ears

  • Funnel Cakes

  • Big old swirly Lollipops

  • Hotdogs/corndogs

  • Sausage with onions, peppers, etc

  • Stuff that should have never been fried like Twinkies, Oreos etc

  • Big soft pretzels

  • Glazed Nuts - like Cinnamon Roasted Almonds

Nachos and chilli fritos are my fav but they were not listed so I chose pretzels.

((What the heck is a 'funnel cake' ??? Is it some Southern thing??))

It is like a donut sort of with glazed sugar on the outside. Can't really describe them but they are super fatty and awesome tasting!!!

I went with sausage with onions and peppers, but it must be hot sausage and I can do without the peppers. Cotton Candy and a soft pretzel with mustard would be a close 2nd and 3rd for me.

Can food at a carnival/fair not be fried? I thought it was a rule! :p

I thought so too?? It's in the fair and carnival guidelines, isn't it?

Even the deep fried stuff gets a second dunking in the fryer, just to make sure it has the right fat-to-food ratio! :p :p :p

Ok this is totally messed up. How can Cotton Candy be getting beat by something that was named after a utinsil used to change the oil in your car? Come on people, help me out here! You have a chance to vote for the perfect food. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. Think about it, Cotton Candy is light, airy, comes in many different colors, it is moldable. You can use it as a disguise to hide from other people. The uses of this thing are endless. Come on everyone, let's rock the vote!

C-O-T-T-O-N C-A-N-D-Y

You know you want it...

Yes, exactly!!

AZ JazzyJ, are you really Kramer? I can totally see that whole post coming from him! Especially the line: "Think about it, Cotton Candy is light, airy, comes in many different colors, it is moldable." :teeth:

Cotton Candy snow cones and candy apples

Ok, that's what I'm talking about! Cotton Candy is making a comeback. We are still 3 votes behind though! Maybe you need a few more arguments as to why Cotton Candy. Think about it, what is the most comfortable fabric? Cotton. So it only makes sense that the most comfortable fair food would be Cotton Candy. It's breathable, and washes well and will last forever if taken care of properly. And if you get really bored you can spin it with a spinning wheel to make thread. And we all know that they use thread for dental floss so in a sense, Cotton Candy promotes good dental hygiene too.

I dunno, I may be channeling Kramer.

NOPE wont do it!! I refuse to pick!! Its not fair![/COLOR

ESPECIALLY if the candy apple has coconut and the nuts are warm roasted IN EPCOT, or the cotton candy is straight out the confectionares on Main Street USA

C'mon Lauri!!

Fried dough with tomato sauce and grated parmagian cheese.
Oh, I can taste it right now!

Not good, not good at all. Cotton Candy is now behind by 4 votes. I can't believe this! I am not one to run a negative campaign but people need to know the issues here. I don't want to spread any rumors but I heard that funnel cakes are actually made in sweat shops in the far east where kids are put to work 23 hours a day in factories that are run by carnies who will not even follow the carney code. Cotton Candy on the other hand is above all of these pitfalls and represents all that is right with the world. Think back to all the Cotton Candy you have ever eaten. It was served by little old ladies that looked just like your grandmother. Cotton Candy understands the value of people who have vast life knowledge and helps them to remain a part of society to give the seniors higher self esteem. Cotton Candy helps give them a higher purpose than just handing out stickers at Wal-Mart. Help the seniors maintain a good quality of life. Vote Cotton Candy!

Jeff

Paid for by the committee to re-elect Cotton Candy

At our county fair I have to get an Oh Boy. :teeth:
Out of the list, I would go with funnel cakes. Yum!

Jeff... you forgot the biggest issue in the Funnel/Cotton election - Funnel cakes believe in higher taxes, early parole for violent offenders and the average work week being raised to 70 hours per week from 40!::yes::

There seems to be a large anti-Cotton contigency in this part of the country. Fortunately, the polls stay open later on the west coast which has been a predominantly pro-Cotton Candy environment. I think the reason for this is that Cotton Candy looks kind of like puffy clouds and puffy clouds make you think of summer and summer makes you think of the beach and the beach makes you think of water and water makes you thirsty and everyone knows that when you are thirsty it is referred to as cotton mouth. So in a sense, Cotton Candy is a medical term and everyone knows that 4 out of 5 doctors recommend Cotton Candy to their patients who don't chew gum.

Don't forget to vote! And remember what President Howard Taft said, "If I would have eaten Cotton Candy I wouldn't be worried about this weight problem."
