Not sure about RAC??? We're flying SWA and I paid for the Early Bird Check-In so does that replace RAC? I guess I really need to read up on the EBCI to see exactly how it works, but I have plenty time. I was mainly trying to make dining reservations and we were considering a big breakfast somewhere but I think it might be better to not try it. The crowds will probably be huge and that could slow down dining reservations and transportation.
No, EBCI does not replace RAC. RAC is, simply put, curbside checkin but far way from the curb. You have to check your bags, so you'll need RAC. Even if you get your 'boarding passess' and tags issued and left on your door, the night before, you still have to go to RAC and actually checkin. You will actually get new tags. EBCI merely checks you in at the 36 hr window (SW does it for you) vs you checking yourself in at the 24 hr window.
Just give yourself enough time for breakfast to be back at POP 3 hours prior to your flight time.
Also ME will put a notice on your door about how pick up works the evening before. It will have the exact pick up time for the bus on it.
If you are given a noon pickup time, for a 3pm flight departure, you really need to be at the bus stop, ready to go, by 11:45. That noon time is the time the bus will leave the resort.
So, with that in mind, you need to be back at the resort 3 1/2 hrs before your flight time.
To the OP....if you can get an ADR for breakfast no later than 8am, you should be fine. If you get one that is closer to 9, you could always just take a cab back to POP. If it were me, I would try to book Goofy's Beach Blast Breakfast, over at the YC/BC, for around 8:30-8:45. Take a cab over there..it will be under $10 and only take about 8 mins. Then, when you're done eating, take a cab back toi POP. It's a nice relaxing last morning.
