How does it work to get your boarding passes.

If you are supposed to check in 24 hours before time-----???

our ME bus will be picking us up about 12:15 for a 3:15 flight home.

we will have a bag to check in.

we do have an 8:30 ADR at Ohana-

Please give me directions on how this is done

We usually hand over our bags first thing in the morning, get our boarding passes, and then head off to a park if time allows.
I guess it depends on where you are staying and what airline you are flying.
If you are staying at the Polynesian, it will be very easy. Just bring your bags down to the RAC counter by 7:45am. Get them tagged, get your boarding passes, and head off to breakfast.
The only airline that has me checking in at that 24 hr window is SW...and then, I usually just buy the EBCI componant. Then, I don't have to worry about it. Just go to RAC and get my passes.

You can also find a lot of information (plus more) on the Disney site.

As goofy4tink said, it's a pretty easy process - as long as you are flying with one of the participating airlines. You have to pay for the checked-luggage before going to RAC (by calling (407) 284-1231) and your bags must be dropped off with RAC at least three hours before your flight.

For me, the longest this process has taken was about 30 minutes. It depends on how many folks are ahead of you.

After you've done that, you can head to breakfast. You need to be back at your resort about 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. If you leave any bags with bell services (like your carry-ons) allow an additional 15 minutes to retrieve those bags (so be back about 30 minutes before the pick-up time).

ahh, ok so i read those links...

we are staying at Contempory.

so we do NOT have to check our bags with the hotel at 24 hours before our flight?

Baggage area should be opened at 5am?

Since our reservations at Ohana (taking monorail which takes about 15 minutes)
is at 8:30=== dropping off our bags and getting our boarding passes at 7:30 is quite doable.

should I check out of the hotel at that time too or do you think we will have lots of time after our breakfast to go back to the room to gather our stuff??

I would go ahead and check out before you head to breakfast - although you probably won't have to actually check out, just make sure all of your stuff is out of the room. Then just drop your carry ons at bell services before breakfast. Then I would head to MK for a couple of hours until it's time to leave.

Yep, that will work just fine. You should head out to the RAC area, it was outside the front entrance to CR, around 7:30ish. Then, you can head back upstairs to the monorail.
If you have left a credit card on file, when checking in, you don't have to 'check out'..it will be automatic. You can leave your carryon bags with Bell Services and get them when you return to get the DME bus. Be sure to allow up to 20 mins to do that...usually it doesn't take that long, but sometimes they take their own sweet time!!!! Be out at the DME stop about 15 mins prior to the p/u time you were given.
