Hi Jeff,

Thank you for updating the roll call :).

Hope you are having fun on your vacation!

Happy Easter

Susan and I had a fun day at Epcot today and then had dinner at Wave at the Contemporary Resort. Tomorrow morning is the launch of STS-131 (knock on wood).
Cool! I've eaten at the Wave. Had the most fabulous butternut squash soup there (I'm a huge fan of soup. You'll probably notice that at dinner! ;))

Glad you're having a good trip.

rashdecision - could you please add my DH to the count for the wine tasting.

Also, count us in for the Rome on your own group train travel.

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter and enjoyed time with their loved ones!

We were upgraded to a Cat 4 (YAY) from a 6 which gives us room for one more person. As the Disney line is closed until tomorrow does anyone out there know if it is possible to add one more guest to the room as the Cat 4 sleeps 5?

My understanding is that you can add to a room (assuming the room has the capacity, which is true in your case) as long as the corresponding lifeboat station is not full. DCL will have to tell you that. If you're adding a child, the kids' program would need to have space, also. I doubt that would be a problem for this cruise. The person you add will pay the current rate for the room. If you got some sort of deal on the price that is no longer offered, the person you add would not get the same price you paid.

Congrats on the upgrade!!!

I don't quite know how this would work since you originally booked 4 people in your room. It might be that they charge you the same rate as the 3rd and 4th passengers or you might need to pay for the upgrade to CAT 4 (which doesn't make sense since they already gave you the room.) The issue would be if needed that room for any reason and they needed to downgrade you back down to CAT 6 what would they do with your 5th passenger.

Oh, now sarahgirl makes a good point. The person you add could conceivably be asked to pay the 5th person rate for a Cat 4, not the "extra person" rate for a Cat 6. Not sure what the difference would be.

Everything I've heard says they won't downgrade you once they upgrade you. I sure hope that's true! I can't see them downgrading you after you add a 5th person... that wouldn't make sense.

ETA: So I did a little checking. The 3rd, 4th & 5th person rate for a Cat 4 is $1,449.00. And it seems to be the same for the 3rd & 4th person in a Cat 6. So that part is a moot point.

BTW, I just checked and you still can only book a CAT 7 and above. Looks like our cruise is pretty booked now.

Thanks for all the info. I'll let you all know the outcome.

Hey Everyone,

We are just trying to figure this out so hope we are doing this right :confused3. We are Mom and Dad and awsome son, 10. We are from San Diego, CA going on our second Disney Magic cruise :dance3:. We do not have a cabin currently assigned, but we do have late dinner seating.

Any suggestions on hotels in Barcelona?

Welcome!!

We are staying at the Barcelona Princess the night before the cruise. It's not right in all the action, but is close to a metro station. Got good reviews on TripAdvisor.

I'll be in my 16th week of pregnacy as of the sail date, and I have to fill out the medical information form.
Is necesary my physician's signature on this form? :confused3
Is there any email address to send it?
Anyone in the same status?
Thank you
Pilar

One of the April 24th cruisers has started a pre-trip report.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2435876

Looks like the space shuttle got off to a glorious (but early) start. Way to early for me to get up here in the Mountain time zone so I will watch the launch via Internet replay. ;)

The space shuttle lift off was beautiful this morning !! Watched it from my backyard----always a glorious sight---Godspeed Discovery !!!

We survived the past week after working tons of hours (spring break vacationeers) and finally catching up here on our board.

Please sign us up--- and our Aunt and Uncle for the FE. So that's 4 of us !!

Starting to get our clothes together----so the packing lists are in full swing !!!

Enjoy your Monday everyone !!!!!

Looking through the DCL site & FAQ, this is the only thing I can find re: pregnancy:

Question Can I sail if I am pregnant?
Answer Women who have entered their 24th week of pregnancy as of their embarkation date will be refused passage due to safety concerns. Neither a physician's medical statement nor a waiver of liability will be accepted. In addition, Disney Cruise Line cannot be held responsible or liable for any complications relating to pregnancy at any stage.
Here's what I found about the medical form:

Question What is the Medical Information Form and how do I complete it?
Answer This optional form allows your physician to report on any current medical condition(s) and medication. It also allows you to arrange for wheelchair access and/or lift, oxygen and/or special dietary needs so that Disney Cruise Line can best accommodate the members of your travel party during your vacation. You can download the page in a PDF file, print it and fill it out. Then you can mail or fax the form, which includes both a mailing address and fax number. The form must be received by Disney Cruise Line at least 14 days prior to sail date.
So it doesn't *look* like you have to fill it out unless there's some reason you want them to know you're pregnant (it says the form is optional) and the address & fax number are on the form itself. That's all I've found so far. I'll let you know if I find anything else.

You might want to post this question on the general DCL board, you're more likely to get more answers... :thumbsup2

And congratulations!!!! :goodvibes

Thank you very much, sayhello.
I found out the first question, but not the second. I've been all the morning (here in Spain) trying to post the question on the general DCL board, but it didn't work and returned me an error message.
Thank you again and sorry for my english :sad2:

Im just the Dermatologist here and Obstetrics is about is far from what I do as anything but heres the skinny. Any travel away from your physicians in the third trimester is frowned upon in case of an unexpected event. Imagine being in a foriegn country (example... Tunis) where health care may be hit or miss. It may not be safe to transport in case of a complication and if you were to deliever early, you would be dependant on the neonatal care of whatever country we happen to be in at that time. Flying in pressurized cabins with lap belts etc may be problematic with turbulence so airlines aren't excited as well. Most of the travel restrictions are actually more for liability to the cruiselines and airlines but the timeline they give should probably be adhered to.
My suggestion is to speak with your OBGYN. If you have had any complications or are considered a high risk pregnancy, then they may have higher no travel restrictions. Best to be safe but like I said, Im only one step above the clinique counter so thats my two cents.

Hi all-
I am just curious how many other military families are coming aboard this cruise? Active, Reserve, Retired, etc?

My husband is active duty Army National Guard out of Reading, MA. He has been in for 13 years and the reason we decided to go on this trip (besides the great discount) is because he is being deployed to Afghanistan after the Winter holidays. Plus he has been in or will be in training on and off for about 6 months this year.

We are hoping for a awesome family trip that will help us get through the times when he is away
