Yeah, finally got our room....#6143.
Cat 12 to 11.....no window but it looks like it's in a good area. :goodvibes
We're so excited...don't know if I can wait a month and a half. :dance3:

Well I checked and we got cabin 1062(cat 9) - most of the reviews talk about consistent noise that is difficult to sleep through. Some even claim that this room should be less than a cat 12 - YIKES!!! I was ok with wherever we ended up but I do want to be able to sleep. I'm almost wishing we wouldn't have been upgraded...

 There are some reports on my assigned cabin that are similar. Like you, we're near the midship elevators. I'm hoping that DCL has fixed the problem. I guess I'll be packing ear plugs.

What category/room did you wanted initially? I know, I am being nosy. Just trying to understand if there is something magical about the initial selection?
We were on Deck 6 before they moved us to Deck 7, we really like Deck 6 and wanted to stay there. We are down the hall from the laundry and also right at mid ship which we especially like should we hit rough seas at night. On 7 they placed us further forward and not really any better view we have found. Could have lived with the move if we could not get our original room back, 7538 would not be bad.

You will be in the same area as me. Jeff & Family, Sayhello and JediJill.

Got it! Thanks!

Hey Jeff, I found a picture of your verandah on disneycruiser. org. but I can't post the link. Just FYI.

Me (Rayna,27), my husband (Claudy, 35) and our 3 year old daughter are so excited to be going on our first cruise ever! We've heard a lot of great things about the Disney Cruise from friends and are triple excited to be making our first trip to the mediterranean.
To add cherry to the ice cream sundae, we just found out we have been upgraded from a Cat 11 to a Cat 8. We're in room 6508. I have seen mixed reviews about this room, mainly that it is far from the family pools but I don't mind. I think with the amount of food that is being served we will probably need to exercise.
Look forward to seeing you all there!!!!:cool1::yay::banana:

Welcome to the cruise Rayna, Claudy and daughter! What a great cruise to pick as your first. :thumbsup2

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. There are a lot of experienced Disney cruisers on board that are more than happy to help fellow guests. :grouphug:

On another note, Susan and I are hitting the road tomorrow to make our way to Orlando, FL for the Space Flight Honoree ceremony Friday night, Kennedy Space Center tours on Saturday, day off Sunday (Easter) (WDW perhaps?) and then STS-131 launch Monday morning (knock on wood). I'll be checking in from time to time though. :)

Safe travels. Epcot is having Flower and Garden Festival, really something to see!:flower3:
