Hey Jeff, I thing I figured out how to forward a photo of the wife and I for the web site. Let me know if you dont get it. Thanks.

Okay, Ill contact the concierge department and see if we have enough DIS'ers if we can arrange a tasting and how much per couple it would be. Hopefully, we can arrange it on our first day or evening at sea after leaving Barcellona. We just have to make sure it doesn't interfere with a meet and greet. Maybe we can make it for immediately after the meet. Ill get back to everyone and maybe we can start a running list on the web site if we can pull it off so we have a talley.

Rob - We'd love to be a part of the private wine tasting too if you set one up. We'd have four adults.

With everyone talking about the cold weather, we actually left sunny and warm southern California and head to the cold (well...South Lake Tahoe) for a ski trip. Just our luck, it's suppose to be WINDY tomorrow and then snow til Wednesday (the day we leave)! Ughh...

Joanna and I would love to join the private wine tasting! Count us in.
Lisa

On a side note, we went to the Flower and Garden Festival this weekend and it couldn't be any prettier. The weather has finally broke and we are having a normal spring as opposed to the cold winter we had. It was so cold we've even have a few potholes pop up. :confused3 I hope our weather for the cruise is exactly like the last few days, sunny, mid 70's and a beautiful breeze.

We got our FE gifts today. It is so exciting to find that special gift when you are least expecting it after you have been wracking your brain for weeks. I think I am going to find out if I can ship it to the port or hotel. It's kinda heavy/bulky for my carryon. Any suggestions?

Hi guys

please count michael and I in for the private wine tasting,

Do disney still do a cocktail of the day?

I have been trying to plan my FE gifts. So I tried to do a break down on the FE list. Here is what I came up with:

29 rooms
63 adults
10 boys
10 girls
2 baby girls

No guarentees on the acuracy. :rolleyes1

I have emailed the concierge to inquire about setting up a wine tasting and I recieved a "we will follow up with you" email back. The concierge office is closed over the weekend but I may be able to call them on Wednesday when I have a half day off. Still no promises and who knows how much they would charge to do one. My hope is that if we have enough people then Disney would just extend another wine tasting at the usual price (I believe it was no less than $20 at our last cruise). I'll keep people informed as I get information back.

We are having an early spring as well, we could see 70's again by week's end. It is now the first time in recordable history we have not had snow in March - good record to break.

I work with a guy from Cameroon who travels through Spain and Italy regularly, he insists that this is a great time of the year to plan a trip there. He thinks the summers can be pretty hot and we should be just past the large fluctuating daily winter temps. His thought is we should have real good weather. For us, anything above 65 is going to be great, that time of year we are accustom to highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.

Thank you for doing this!! This definitely helps!! :dance3:

It looks like the UK and Ohio are neck and neck with the most Cruisers. Hawaii gets the distance award however, and so far, by a long shot.

Add your City if you have not yet done so, lets see where everyone is from.

Is that really fair you are comparing states to countries. ;)

Seems to me that on our last cruise, the staff was bending over backwards for the Dis members. I was not part of it last time but I was friends with someone that was. They always had things going on.

Interesting that there are so many adults on the FE list. (and wine lovers!) I might have to look for some fun gifts when we do our wine tour of France next week.

Morning gang. Hope everyone is well.

I'm just putting in a plea and reminder regarding the FE.

If anyone else wants to join up - let me know and i'll add you to the list.:thumbsup2

For those who are participating. Let me know your stateroom once it has been assigned. I will hassle you if you don't let me know! ;)

If you are thinking of upgrading at port, please also let me know. I am planning on running a mini-meet on embarkation day where upgraders can let me know their new room number (I'll arrange to be in a specific place at a specific time) and i'll then distribute a revised FE list on the first evening.

I am planning on trying to upgrade so figure a new list may be required onboard. On my last cruise there were a couple of people who upgraded and it got complicated because they didn't tell anyone until after the first few FE deliveries had been made.

Can you also make sure that all relevant info regarding your group is in the FE list details on page 1 of this thread - if not please let me have the following:

  • Numbers (and preferably gender) of adults and kids in your group.
  • For kids an approximate age (so gifts can be tailored if appropriate).
  • Adult ages are optional.
  • If your group is multiple staterooms - are each room participating separately or are they taking part as one group - which room will have the extender outside if combining. It is normally each stateroom separately - but combining is ok aswell
  • If you are celebrating a special occasion (birthday, anniversary etc.) some people may tailor gifts accordingly
  • Anything that you really can't receive (e.g. due to allergies or chewy candy because kids have braces)

Hey tripodjw, just checked our info on your FE list and everything is correct for us! We are #2, 3, 4 on your FE list and all 3 rooms are still planning on participating. We will have a FE outside each stateroom. Once we get the room numbers (hopefully soon!!) we will let you know.

Sorry to be off topic, but I just got back from being in the audience for the Ellen show at Universal!!! :yay: The show I was at will air this Thursday and it was such a blast. We saw Sharon Osborne, Usher, and Paige from American Idol. I heart Ellen!

I’m so looking forward to meeting every one on this board everyone seems so friendly and helpful unlike the 5ths board!!!!!!!!!!!

So by tomorrow we should all have r cabin numbers I’m hoping with a sir name of Wright we may be last on the list so there will be no cat 12s left, it usually a disadvantage but I’m hoping on this occasion it will work to my advantage, I know will'll still have a fantastic time no matter where we end up.

pixiedust, that is so cool! I love Ellen also!!

Jojo, I could not agree more! Friendly, small, happy group!:grouphug: I was trying to catch up on the west bound ta meet, wow, they are on their 4th thread and we are 5 months away! And I think everyone is doing FE and there are a bunch of meets going on. Makes me exhausted just reading it. :rotfl:

Keeping my fingers, arms, toes and legs crossed for everyone's upgrades!:wizard:

I've noticed a good number of both the EBTA and WBTA are doing back-to-back cruises so those people are going to be spending A LOT of time together. During the Atlantic crossings there is a LOT of free time so it's good for them to come up with things to do on their own. I hope they have better sea/weather conditions than they did back in 2007.

Jeff, did you do a TA in 07? We did the EB. The weather was rough but the cruise was fantastic. All those sea days were wonderful!

BTW, I think that may be the way we are 'moving' home!
