I promise I will not share this information with anyone else besides DCL. I can't submit the request until I have the last names and reservation numbers.

I have created 3 groups based on the people who replied in the thread *AND* have sent me their information.

Edit: I talked with the reservationist this morning. Basically I have to fax the information in to the Palo Cruise Activities Specialist, with first and last names and reservation numbers of all parties, sail date and my contact information. The Palo CAS will get back to me 25-30 days prior to sailing to let me know if the request is granted or not. Let me emphasize, any of you that were lucky enough to get brunch reservations online - DO NOT cancel those reservations.

spoke with the concierge today at lunch and she has an inquiry into the ship about whether we can arrange a private wine tasting or if we know the names of the people wanting to attend that we can prearrange our group and they will just plan on a big wine tasting at our first day at sea. she should be getting back to me within the next 2 days.

The following was posted on another Med cruise thread. No mention is made of the exchange rate but I found back in 2007 that DCL definitely put a premium on top of the going rate for US dollar to Euro exchange. I don't recall how much higher though.

I would be happy to assist with currency exchange onboard the ship.

Although, Guests are able to cash personal checks drawn from U.S. banks
only up to $100.00 per checking account, per voyage onboard at the Guest
Services desk, there are no limits set for currency exchange.

Currency exchange is available at Guest Services. During the
Mediterranean sailings, the currencies listed below can be exchanged to
Euros.

The following types of currency can be exchanged onboard:

Dollar (Australia, Canada, Cayman, Hong Kong, United States)
Franc (Switzerland)
Kroner (Denmark, Norway, Sweden)
Peso (Mexico)
Pound (United Kingdom: England, Scotland)
Yen (Japan)
Euro (European Union)

We order packing cubes for this trip. Has anyone of you used that for trips before? Based on the reviews on Amazon, it seems like a good idea. I was actually shopping for a suitcase for DD, since we only have 2 large suitcases, and will need another for my baby. I ordered 3 sets in different colors, and will mix up our clothes in each of the suitcase in the event of lost suitcases.
