STLUCIELADY, I'm with you! It is a carry-on and a purse to hold my notebook- gotta stay in touch with the world. I'll be gone for 3 weeks so if it doesn't fit in my carry-on I don't wear it. I learned a long time ago that I don't enjoy lugging a lot of luggage around. Of course I'm cheating a little bit - hubby has to take half of the stuff for our FE gifts. I too had thought of only taking Summer clothes but I might throw in an extra sweater or two. I am packed!!!

I like having just one fish extender group. We are planning on one gift per room and I think even with the amount of people signed up so far, that should be manageable. We'd like to include everyone on this group since we've been on this board for almost a year now and feel connected to quite a few of you! Just my two cents...

I am very excited to participate in this fish extender group. So, what do I do next? As I said, I have never participated in one before and want to make sure I do it right. Besides shopping for gifts, will there be a "final list" so I know what to go out and buy?

Hey Ray!

It's not super hard. First you need a Fish Extender. Depending on how crafty/how much time you have you can make your own. I believe you can find directions on the Dis. However, if you are lazy and/or short of time, I ordered one from a lady on Ebay. Here is an example.

I ordered mine from this particular seller and she did a wonderful job and it will be on its 3rd cruise in May.

I believe that the list will be closed on 4/15 and a final list will be sent out. Its your choice if you want to get something for everyone or just something per cabin. I've done everything from pirate themed goodie bags to Valentine's Day themed gifts. One of the coolest gifts on my first FE exchange was from someone in the South who gave everyone a ziploc bag of grits and pecans. I'm currently tyring to come up with something themed to my home and LIGHT! Not as much room this trip.

Nursemanager, So glad to have you posting. Welcome to our cruise! I'm packed but I keep changing things out as I keep going shopping. There are some nice bargains out there. If I shop I don't sit around watching TV, read, or cruise the internet and munch all the time so it is much healthier for me to shop. Carl doesn't quite understand this reasoning. Add your names to Jane's roll call list.

One gift per stateroom would make it more manageable. I could handle that.

Also, Jeff, thanks for adding us to the excursions list. I noticed that you put us on the wrong excursion for Tunis though! We're all on Sidi Bou Said and Carthage.

I'm updating the FE list to include those who have expressed an interest (by asking how they sign up).

As we have so many GTY cruisers, I'll have to issue the final list "relatively" close to cruising.

To all FE participants - if you get your room number assigned, please let me know so i can update the FE roll call. FE won't work wthout room numbers.

Fixed. Also, uploaded some more photos to the gallery (Villefranche, Nice, Monte Carlo).

Oh, and in case you don't follow the main Disney Cruise Line forum, there's a neat thread on there that links to some Youtube videos of when both the Magic and Wonder were in Port Canaveral last month. The dueling ships horns are pretty cool.

I ordered my fish extender today. I am not very crafty, and do not have lots of time, so I thought it was best. I am beginning to gets lots of ideas for gifts and will pass them by the kids to see what they think too!

I noticed that the 24 April cruisers (the first Med cruise) started receiving their GTY room allocations on Friday last week. Hopefully that means we are now only around 3 weeks away from receiving ours.
