Anyone know if there is a bus that goes from the airport to Novotel Barcelona City? With it being only me and I'm going to have 1 suitcase, I would just rather hop on the bus than take a taxi.

I've captured everyone's DCL tours that have posted, PM'd or emailed me on the Excursions tab, under the "DCL Excursions" button.[/QUOTE]

Jeff, can you add me and DH to Tunis Medina & Carthage excursion and our 2 DD's to Pottery in Nabeul. Thanks, Anne PS: we have late dinner seating.

Hi everyone!

I have been lurking on this thread for a while now & thought it was about time to introduce us:-

Me Emma (29) Celebrating my 30th on 3/6/10 on this cruise
DBF Phil (31)
DS Ben (7) At time of cruise

We have booked a at 12 GTY cabin and are on early seating for Dinner
We also have a reservation at Palo for 7.30pm the day we will be at Naples, Italy

This will be our 1st cruise. It is something that we have never really considered before but we LOVE all things Disney and the prices offered were just too good to miss!

We are planning on touring each port of call on our own to keep costs down:-

Train to Rome & Pisa, Italy
Walk to beach at Corsica
Bus or taxi to Mediterraneo Marine Park in Valletta, Malta
Not sure about the rest as yet

By the way Jeff you have done an amazing job of the website!

Welcome Emma. You will love the cruise. I guarantee it (although that's a no-money involved guarantee :rotfl2: )

My thoughts exactly! How old is your Son?

I've been reading up about it and it seems pretty straight forward to do
(Don't quote me on that!)

We steered away from any organised excursions as we don't want in-depth tours of the Colosseum / Vatican etc..

Just to see them, wander about & take a few photos etc..

We are doing the same thing at Pisa - taking the train to see the leaning tower etc..

Anne: Got the changes. Thanks.

Emma: Welcome to the cruise and thank you for your kind comments! :dance3:

I've emailed them also for the same concern, here is the reply from the hotel:

We kindly inform you that we expect to be opened on the 29 th march 2010 but in the event of any delay, we can assure you that we will contact to offer an alternative hotel
Your booking is confirmed at NOVOTEL BARCELONA CITY

So I guess I will just wait to see..

gullunge,

Are you on the May 15th cruise? I don't see you on the roll call. If you are, welcome! :cool1:

Hey, Jeff & tripodjw, I just noticed HappyGrumpy & her hubby are still on the rollcall. I'm pretty certain they cancelled this cruise. (They were thinking of doing the ABD add-on, and decided to wait until they could do both).

Hmm... I looked back, but I guess she *didn't* post it here in the thread... it was a PM. Ah, well.

Yeah, I'd guess there are several people on the roll call that have dropped off. When I was populating the web page I found where some people had not posted since the early pages of the thread.

Hi!!!! We will be sailing on our 28th disney cruise and this is our first Med cruise! We are so excited and cannot wait to get there. This is also our first time doing a FE. We will be flying over 2 days prior to the cruise to adjust and spend some time in Barcelona.

I will be sailing with my mom who is in her late 60's. And 2 DD. One age 10 and 1/2 and one age 11 who will turn 12 while we are on board. We will be staying in room 6032 and have main seating dinner.

Thanks so much for adding me to the list. Please let me know if you need any other information.

Cannot wait to sail away on MAGIC!

Ray

I just hopped over to the 4/24 med cruise and they started getting their room assignments today. It's getting closer!!

Jeff, I have a question regarding the web site. On the page where you show the "projected show schedule", does that mean some nights we aren't having a show or you're just not sure of the name of the show for the night? Thanks, Anne

disneyuncle: Welcome to the cruise! Wow...20+ cruises on DCL...must feel like you're going home every time you board.

Anne,

There's something every night, just not a production-type show. Back in 2007, for example, on the "off" nights we had a ventriloquist/comic, one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and a game show.

Hi guys I've just set up a facebook group for our cruise please feel free to join.

it's called, (Disney may med magic 15th - 26th 2010)

regards
joanne

Hallo all, hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I'm officially "chilling" this weekend. It was a hectic week at work, so doing some browsing of guidebooks/websites for the cruise. And catching up on all those blurays we've bought and not watched.

Just finished watching This is it (the Michael Jackson film about the concerts). We had tickets for one of the gigs, and watching the film made me realise quite how special those gigs were going to be. sigh

Welcome Frank!

On the weather, I don't think it's going to be as warm as some think! Posted below are the average high and low for May (F).

Barcelona, Spain - 68/53
Valletta, Malta - 74/59
Tunis, Tunisia - 76/56
Naples, Italy - 72/53
Civitavecchia, Italy (Rome) - 74/51
La Spezia, Italy (Florence, Pisa) - 74/52
Ajaccio, Corsica - 70/50
Villefranche, France - 67/56

The weather is starting to worry me. I was planning on packing capris, tank tops, sundresses and skirts and now I'm leaning towards much warmer clothes since it will be in the 50's in the morning. I was trying to just take a carry-on. I think it may wind up being challenging. Anyone else crazy enough to try to go with just a carry on?

Sorry, but never in a million years. Not for 13 days in several foreign countries in May. 4 days in Southern California in February, sure, but the Med in May for almost 2 weeks? Not going to happen! :confused3
