May 7, 2009 3 Night Old Folks Cruise

We wouldn't be going if we didn't have left over days on our tickets and the kids were not free still. Thank goodness for that. We bought tickets back in 2004 and have like one or two days left on them.

We would like to participate in the FE exchange. Who is coordinating for our cruise so that I can get them the info for us?

The one day tickets are completely crazy - our in laws are doing them anyway though. We are going to be a wdw for 7 days after the cruise so we did the 4/3 deal while that was out.

luvtheears is coordinating the FE's. I am soo excted about this. My kids are making some of the things to pass out. They may not look the best, but they are having a blast at it.

Only 27 days!!!!!!

I am working today on getting everything finally packed! Only a few more weekend left to get everything together and they are going to be really busy ones for us!

I have started laying everything out on our dining room table. It's exciting to be packing for our cruise.:cheer2:

I began making a list this weekend of what to pack. Then today we got our cruise docs. Woo Hoo!:yay: Now I'm excited. Just a few more things to purchase and then it will be time to pack.

well I have spent the morning looking through the excursions at Nassau and we have decided to spend a couple of hours out in the woods on a segway tour.

We have been on the segways at Epcot and offroad at the Wilderness Lodge - and really enjoyed them - so we are now looking forward to that, then we still have the rest of the day to explore Nassau and chill.

can't really believe its so close to our trip.

We feel like we are getting three holidays in one - a few days at OKW then cruise then another few days at OKW

I am so jealous! I found the Segway tours, but my kido's are not old enough yet! Well, I guess it's just one more reason to book more Disney Cruises! :rotfl2:

Hello Everyone!

We are on going to be traveling with you as well! (May7-10)..mothers day weekend!

I planned this surprise trip for my wife and 5 year old daughter.

Its STILL a surprise!

Anyway, I would love to participate in the fish extender fun! (Daughter would love it). ::thumbsup2

Idea'a on where I can get one?

Or - can someone that has made one send me the directions/ and I can have one made.

Can't wait!

Scott

I think we need to organize a "Good Hubby" Lesson class on the ship! You can teach this. Right? :rotfl2:

When are you going to tell them?

akjtmax - we have a 10 hour drive. We are going to do the whole thing in one shot this time. I am thinking of leaving in the middle of the night though so the kids will sleep for some of it. We will be driving down to Orlando on Tuesday and spending Wednesday at MK and then drive over to the port Thursday morning.

Does anyone know if the parking at the port only takes cash or do they take other forms of payment?

We have a 9 hour drive, but we can't leave until noon on Wednesday! That way the kids will only miss 2 days of school instead of 3.

You can use a credit card at the Port for Parking. We did in September.

Don't forget to PM me if you are participating in the FE exchange! Right now I have 4 families signed up (Including our family). Please include your stateroom #, Dining rotation, names of family members and ages of kids might be nice to have. Also, if you have any allergies.

My cruise docs arrived yesterday! Woo Hoo! Only 21 more days - Now I really need to figure how to pack in secret!

I hope everyone had a nice Easter! My kids are on Spring Break, but have to go back to school on Thursday and Friday to make up snow days. :woohoo:

Have a great day everyone!

Well - they still have no idea (wife & 5 year old daughter). Not sure how much longer I can hold out! My secret was ALMOST blown when the travel documents arrived yesterday.

Anyway count us in for the Fish Extender! (Daughter would LOVE it)

Not sure I'm a good hubby but would be happy to give a lesson with fellow passengers as long as we break for a cold beer or two:teacher:

Its easy - I must say cause I have a GREAT wife and an AWESOME daughter!

Is anyone dressing up in formal clothes the last night? I didn't realize there wasn't a formal night until now. That's sad b/c I bought the cutest suit and dress for our DS and DD.

I started to pack our Formal stuff, but decided not to. We always dress for dinner, so we will at least look nice.

Honestly, you will see all types of dress during dinner from informal to formal, so just do what you want to. My son loved dressing up in his semi - tux on Formal night and I'm sure he will be disappointed that I didn't bring it for this trip too. :sad1:

In my circle of friends, I'm kind of known as the (ahem) Queen of Matchy. :rolleyes1

My kids will match every day - so I'm SURE you won't miss us, should you encounter us on the ship. :cutie:

That said, my kids have a dress (or skirt) for every dinner night. The last night they're wearing nice black chiffon sun dresses. I have a short sleeved knee-length dress and DH is wearing a linen shirt (or cuban - I can't remember which) with dress pants.

Hope that helps a bit! :cutie:

Now, I'm stressing a bit because we still haven't gotten our cruise docs. We've had problem after problem with AAA Travel and the corporate travel manager is helping us now. So, I'm HOPING they come soon and we don't have to call her - yet again. :headache:

We also don't have my four year old's passport yet. Everyone else's came in about three weeks, but the post office forgot to have us sign one of the documents. So, now we wait.

ppit841 - I think it is great that you are keeping this as a surprise. Perhaps more husbands need to do things like that. I would fall over if my husband did that. ha ha

I'm packing some nice things for DS and DD and us to wear for dinner but not to formal. We are not formal types I guess. But I do have the cutest outfits for the kids to wear.

LuvtheEars - We want to participate in the FE exchange. Will PM you the info.

(sorry about multiple post - trying to get to where I can PM the info)

Our kids will also be matching - I am crazy like that too! Here is a pic of our disney trip this past fall. :)

So sweet!!! Looks like our group, in public (except ours are all "stair steps" - two years apart). :cutie:

(Except, of course, my step-daughter - the oldest - who is taller than I am now and really looks like her Dad!)

How old are your kiddos? :)

We have four that will be turning 9 during the cruise and the little one is 2. :) How about yours?
