May 7, 2009 3 Night Old Folks Cruise

Me ( Tammy ) DH ( Angus ) DD ( Caroline -12 ) and Stowaway ( Cydney also 12)

We'll be at resort at the port on Wednesday Evening. Hoping to upgrade from our Cat 9 first thing in the AM.

We can't wait!!!

We have four that will be turning 9 during the cruise and the little one is 2. How about yours?

Let's see - my step-daughter is turning 14 while we're on the ship. Then, Dh and I have an 11 year old, a 9 year old, a 7 year old, and a five year old - all girls. Then, Jack is the "baby" - he's 2.5.

Well that is amazing - you must be getting two conntecting rooms too! You guys will be mighty busy!

No, unfortunately our rooms are just side by side - they are sold out of connecting rooms on the ship.

I was pretty bummed, but I'm feeling a little better about it now.

And, yes - busy - whew - chaos is our middle name! Though, I imagine you can relate on some level!

I'd like to have a list of participants (and kids' ages/genders) ASAP so I can make sure I have the things assembled and packed.

Girls: 12 ranging in age from 2 to 13
Boys: 5 ranging in age from 8 months to 9
(One family has allergies to most candy)

Let's cutoff Friday April 24th. If you have not signed up yet please PM me your stateroom #, dining rotation, names and ages of kids - don't forget the Adults names, but don't worry about ages , and any allergies.

I will send a PM out to participating families by Sunday April 25th - I hope. (Friday is Relay for Life and we will be spending the night at a park working until Saturday at noon ) Perhaps Monday is more realistic.

I can't believe our cruise is so close!

I might have left that bit out.

And you can officially exclude our gluten allergy. We decided to do a test this week (since it would be SO much easier to deal with travel that way) and everyone seems to be handling it okay. So, it's just artificial food coloring for my older girls.

We have Relay also. I have always participated in Relay since I was in middle school. Two years ago the doctors discovered I had thyroid cancer. Now I definitely have to be there. Thank goodness mine was curable. Now if we can all the others curable and not just treatable.
We are in the home stretch for the cruise!!!!!

I have to say I love that picture! My kids did such a good job posing, but they are hams anyhow. In case anyone was wondering - we were at the Contempoary near the pool area.

I'm looking forward to Relay. We've participated in it several times, but this will be the first time we will be spending the night with the kids. Should make for some great stories!
