This will be our first Disney cruise. My husband and I went on our 1st cruise (Royal Carribean) and had a blast. The kids loved the pictures and so we dedcided to cruise instead of WDW. More relaxing for the parents. Anyway we are all very excited about going and are counting down the days. We have 2 children 5 year old DS and 3 year old DD. I haven't started packing, but I have started buying several disney items just for the cruise. I can't believe the cruise is almost here.

I need to head to the disney store. I have actually found many items on ebay. I bought the autograph books for 3.00 each.

Can anyone help me out on the fish extenders. I keep reading about these, but not sure what they are.

I can't wait to meet everyone on the cruise. Is anyone planning on staying a Raddisson Resort at the Port the night before?

We are staying at the Orlando Airport hotel the night before.

The "fish extenders" are little mailbox extenders that essentially let everyone in your room have their own box. If you do a search for them in google both the ebay site and these boards will produce many results and lots of cute photos!

So count us in of the fish extenders. The kids will love this, plus I love doing stuff like this. I found the fish extendors on Ebay. Do you recommend one for everyone in the family, or just for the kids?

Good question! I am still wondering if I am going to have time to make / buy them. We have 5 kids so I am thinking about just doing a pocket for each of them, but if I were to get very creative I suppose I could do one two pocket one for my and my husband's door and one for my MIL and FIL's door also. So much to do!

I made mine the other day with fabric I had on hand and some dowels and beads from Michael's. Easy peasy!

I suppose ours has a pocket for each child (three on each) but I didn't think of it as a pocket per kid when I was making them.

I did read that another group moved their FE Exchange to private messages once people agreed to participate. I think that would be a wise decision.

Any more experienced cruisers want to handle the logistics of the exchange?

I have some great things to bring!!!

Hi everyone,

I can't believe we are down to a little over one month before our cruise! I keep going online to see if my room # has been posted yet and hanging around the front door when the UPS man comes around to see if he has my Cruise Docs. So far no to both.

I'm bringing my FE, so count me in! We need to get a list going so we will know how many families to pick stuff up for.

We did a FE exchange on our September Double Dip and it was a lot of fun! I'm still using some of the stuff I received. Mostly post it notes, pencils and stuff like that.

I was at the Disney store yesterday and they had some pretty good deals on flip flops and some swim wear. The jammies were still a little high for me though.

I've started packing the kids stuff - Actually I have it stashed in the closet. It's getting pretty warm here and I was afraid if I didn't put the summer stuff I wanted to take on the cruise aside they would notice it was gone. I think the only new item I plan to buy before this cruise is a new camera. I've got my eye on a nice Cannon.

We just booked the Radison Resort at the Port and booked our shuttle too. I think it was a pretty good deal considering the parking is free.

Six kids - yeah - packing in advance is a GOOD thing!

I can't wait. It's our first cruise and we're doing a land and sea (self-led/planned). Our room assignments were up yesterday and I'm crushed that we don't have connecting rooms. The local AAA agent that we transferred our ressie to completely screwed it up. We have corporate trying to straighten it out now, but it doesn't look good. DCL (whom we called first) said there are no connecting rooms left. Hoping hoping hoping they find something for us.

I can't wait for the cruise and the FE's. I started buying some the items today. Go the the Dollar store.They have many disney items for $1.
I haven't started packing, but I am also stashing items.

Sounds kike a Mini Meet at the Radison, but I still don't want to give away the surprise to the kids! Actually we are driving and can't leave home until noon, so we won't be getting to the Radison until after 9:00pm.

Are you using the free shuttle? Have you scheduled it yet? We are on the 10:00am shutte. We could meet up for breakfast and then hit the shuttle.

I did some shopping for the FE's yesterday! I don't have a huge amount of time because I have a home business, but if everyone would like I can be the FE coordinator.

So, if you PM me with your stateroom #, dining rotation (main or late) and names and ages in your group. I will put together a spreadsheet with the information that I will email out a week or two before we cruise.

one more quick thing - I just checked to see if we were assigned our stateroom number and not only was it there, but it was an upgrade!

We booked a cat 12 for the 4 of us and got a cat 9!

That was our upgrade as well!! I'm happy to see that the rooms are bigger and have nice, big windows. Unfortunately I'm also bumming because we didn't our request for connecting rooms, which is going to be a challenge.

Very cool! I'm looking forward to it! Although I have to warn you - I may have to spill the beans at breakfast about the cruise and there may be screaming!

I have 4 families signed up for the FE exchange right now! Any one else just PM me. Don't forget to include your family names and ages, dining rotation and stateroom. Also, please include allergies if any.

I'm not going to put a surprise in FE's everyday, but just once per family.

I was kept up by dogs barking Friday night from 2:00am until after 5:00am so I decided to put my time to good use and made a new FE.

Ok, now that is just absolutely adorable! I made mine this weekend and will post a picture tonight. It is not nearly as cute, but I was limited by my inability to sew and having to be 100 percent reliant on Fabric glue. My kids love it though. I need to figure out a way to add their names to it. Once I send the picture around - you will have to give me suggestions!

That is absolutely adorable. I am so jealous. I am not that talented and like 5 little indians I don't have any sewing skills. I am going to talk my mother-in-law into helping though.

I should have kept it a secret from my two. They ask everyday when we are going.
