May 6th, 2022 -10-Night Hawaiian Cruise from Honolulu to Vancouver (Kahului, Hilo, Nawiliwili, Nawiliwili)

We are also Platinum and got 10:30 Boarding Group 2. Still not sure how that works with Disney provided transportation. I will be emailing my TA tomorrow to try to find out. 🤷🏻‍♀️
On another note, I know FE groups are not allowed but can we still hang our FE out? I like the festive feel it gives our doorway. 🥳
We don't do the FE stuff - it's just DW and I who cruise - but I'm surprised to hear FE groups are not allowed. Is that due to COVID?? We still decorate our stateroom door. She has magnets that we bring along to spruce things up a bit. :)

Got a question for anyone who has previously sailed DCL on a Hawaiian itinerary. Does the ship sail around Kauai before docking in Nawiliwili?? It would be really awesome to get an opportunity to see the Na Pali coast.

Yes another Covid restriction.🙄

So how is everyone getting their Covid test to return to the US? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Still haven’t figured that one out. We booked a hotel for one night so we won’t be in a craze the day we get off trying to get tested and make a flight.
Any information anyone has out there would be greatly appreciated!

Unless the requirement is dropped. We're probably just going to book the Inspire Diagnostics/Safe Passage antigen test when we do our Safe Passage check-in. It would have been nice to get some guidance from Disney, since they know how many US citizens are on board, but so their messaging that it is available the closest thing we've gotten. A lot of folks are skipping the test by renting cars, or taking public transportation back across the border to Seattle and then flying out from there. I hadn't thought of that before booking a flight out of Vancouver, and I've just been kinda hoping the testing requirement would be dropped. Doesn't look like it at this point.

We booked our tests through American Airlines. They send us 4 tests and then we video call them to monitor our testing. Then they will then email us a certificate showing our results which we upload to American Airlines. It is less expensive than using Safe Passage especially for four of us…... But I really, really hope the requirement is gone by then. ☺️

I heard that the Fairmont Airport hotel has an agreement with a testing provider as well if you are flying out of Vancouver.

The testing at the Fairmont hotels is provided by fast-test.ca

The Rapid Antigen test is $125 CD. This is about $50 more than the price at the airport. It is more convenient, though.

EDIT - At current exchange rates that's just under $100 US.

We are also flying American non-stop to home. Did you call the airline? When do you test, is it on the ship? Thank you so very much to all for responding, it is truly appreciated!

On their website they had a few different choices but we picked this one.

They mailed us the tests then we schedule the day and time to take the test. We are going to do it in our stateroom before we getting off the ship. I hope this helps ☺️

Hey Everyone! Excited to finally have this cruse happen.

We are traveling with a child under 5, and are looking at rapid testing options on Oahu that are accepted. Previously, we did Walgreens NAAT testing for our cruise out of Port Canaveral, FL, and had results within 20 minutes, but it looks like Walgreens does not offer the NAAT testing in Hawaii.

CVS offers PCR/NAAT testing but does not guarantee the results for 2-3 days, which cuts it a bit close for us.

Has anyone else found a decent option for testing those under 5 prior to departure?

Has anyone gotten their luggage tags yet?
No… I have seen lots of people saying they didn’t receive them due to the system upgrade on recent cruises. We leave next Friday for Aulani and each day I’m less hopeful we will get them.
