May 6, 2007 - 4 night Wonder

Thanks!

We are actually turning this into a 2 month trip... spending several days at the parks prior to the cruise, then spending some time with friends in Ohio for a few weeks, THEN taking our 12 yr old to space camp for his bday (he thinks he wants to be an astronaut), and finally driving home via the Oregon Trail. Its gonna be SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!! To make it even more fun, the younger and I are doing the cross country trip on our own one way, as the older has an important boy scout campout that he HAS to go to... Giggle! BOY children are such fun!

We had planned on taking an Alaskan cruise for our 25th anniversary last year, but can't really leave the younger with a sitter for more than a few hours due to his health issues, so this is our 25th anniversary cruise, WITH kids instead of without. Should be LOTS Of fun though, I am sure!

Just bumping us back up here. We're getting so close.. it's officially starting to feel real.

Does everyone have their pre cruise/post cruise plans taken care of?

Luckily DH and I live in FL. We're heading over to the Hilton Cocoa Beach the Saturday before so we can be in the area in Sunday morning instead of driving 3 hrs that morning.

Then, as a last minute idea, we decided to do Disney for 3 days when we return. We're AP holders so it's not too bad expense wise.. just the hotel. We're staying at AKL for the first time. :yay:

Well like I said, just wanted to bump us back up in case any new May 6ers were looking to post!

WOO-HOO!!!!!

It is almost here!!!!!

We planned this cruise last May...I can't believe how fast the time went.
This is our first cruise...the kids are so excited, it is all we are talking about.

This cruise is all I think about morning noon and night! :goodvibes

Please let April go fast. :)

The travel cannel show on it last night is getting my pretty excited about the whole thing. A lot of the TC shows last night had new footage. If you haven't seen it, toon in they are repeating.

I haven't really let myself get too geeked up until this point, it all seems to good to be true.

Getting closer! I really need to remember who all is on this thread and what ages their kids are. We are all going to be there soon!

Lesley, I read on your thread about the sand toys that you are renting bikes. I didn't want to hijack it, but I was wondering about it. I saw it was $6 a person for an hour, and that isn't too bad. We love to ride at home so I was thinking about doing this on CC too. I didn't want to sign up though, I want to play it more by ear what the kids feel like doing when. Do you know what kind of bikes they have too? I need a child carrier for Lily (2) and Anna uses a ride behind on her dad's bike. I was wondering if they had anything like that. She can't go for long on her own bike as a tandem.

I am sooo sad for May 10th. It will all be over...what will I do?::sad2: :sad2:

Go to WDW! At least for a few days (that is what we are doing.) Actually our AP expire on May 6th so we will be going to the parks for 2 days before, then we are staying at SSR after, but I don't think we are going to park it since we will have to fork up for tickets. We are hoping to do TL and DTD along with hanging at the resort and pool. Who knows, maybe we will break down and get 1 day park tickets if we want it bad enough. Waiting to see how we feel then. :cool1:

Ok, I re-read the thread. Trying to get a better grasp on who is going to be there from the Dis. Right now I have 11 families. I even took notes, (mostly to help me remember, but I thought I would post them for everyone. We have a number of kids around the same ages so that should be nice.

The bikes are the old time bikes with one gear and the brakes are on the pedals (you pedal backwards to stop), they do have child seats and training wheels on the kids bikes and the kids bikes are the same old time bikes!!

Thanks, sounds like normal bike rentals. We love bike riding. Still don't know if we will be able to drag them away from the beach long enough for a spin.

It looks like we have a group of girls ages 5 to 7 so that should be fun for them.

It looks like we have 2 little girls (2 years old) and 2 one year old little ones too.

Still concered about Lily not finding Flonders much fun. She is potty trained now, but will only be 3 months from being 3 years old. I know Anna is going to love the OC, but I think Lily is going to be missing her big sister! At least I know Lily can use the pool with no problems now that she is potty trained.
