May 5th 2007 Western Magic CINCO DIS MAYO!

WOW!!! Stay away for a couple of days and I got some catchin' up to do! I hope things get better for you Kimberly! I know the feeling...every since we moved, it's been hard because the pay is horrible here so got my real estate license and start tomorrow! Very scary but I have to take the chance! I will be thinking of you though! I try to believe things happen for a reason even though sometimes it's hard to figure out the reason!!! :confused3
Kaylin had her third race in her bigger kart. Much faster and all boys! I think this class runs about 65mph. Well, yesterday Kaylin got one first place and two third places! Not bad for a girl, huh? I love it, it makes the parents so mad that thier kids got beat by a GIRL :teeth: I don't understand it though and it gets hard sometimes because they say things about her being a girl and it makes her mad, so I just tell her to take her anger and use it on the track. I also tell her that you may have to work harder but victory is so much sweeter!
Well, whats everyone'splans for Thanksgiving? I will be here at home because I'm toooo poor to do anything :thumbsup2 We will have some of Carl's family over!
Hope everyone has a great week and think of me as I'm having a nervous breakdown wondering when my next paycheck will be :rotfl2:

Congrats on getting your license and best wishes with the new career. Yes everything works out for a reason. How exciting for you. Tell Kaylin congratulations and the boys will just have to get used to getting beat by her.
Our Thanksgiving plan is always the same. We have lunch with DH's family (MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL and 2 nieces). They live a hour away. I try not to gorge myself on too much turkey (just trying a little bite of everything) because then we have Thanksgiving dinner with my family (Mom, Dad, Sis, BIL, baby niece, Aunt, Cousin, and anywhere between 2 and 8 family friends who have no family of their own in the area). By the end of the evening we are so stuffed we can barely move. Its crazy but we are thankful to have them all. And they are the reason we can't move, otherwise we definitely would.

Congrats to Kaylin! Good for her to do so well, regardless of the jealous parents of boys! :)

Our Thanksgiving is going to be quiet this year. Since it is our second year in the PacNW, all my family is in CO, and since I have to fund a graduation, a trip for a wedding, and of course, this cruise, there is no way I can afford to travel for Thanksgiving. :( So we will spend it the three of us, watching the Broncos beat the Chiefs! :cool1:

Has anyone had any more thoughts as to excursions? How about doing a Dis-er brunch at Palo?

Let's work up some excitement here...I am feeling so boooored right now! :)

Thank you to all of you who acknowledged we won't be able to join you. I know you will all have fun and I will be thinking of all you on that day!!!

Peace and Blessings this holiday season!

Here's to 2008!

Ok, I don't seem to be getting alot of computer time lately. We was without power for 4 hrs the other day when i did have the time to respond.go figure.

My crew is Me (36) Tracy, Dh(43) Keith, DSS(15) Jonathan, and DD(4) Amber ..the ages are cruise time frame age.

This will be our second disney cruise my dd first cruise. We did the 4 nite nassua cruise on the wonder in 2000. We are from Ohio. Northwest area, I work for honeywell ( sparkplug factory aka factory rat) and my husband is a stay at home dad and also works part time for the post office. we are all excited to go on this cruise and wish it was sooner. We choose this date though as we wanted to make sure dd was potty trained with no accidents for the trip as this is her reward for being completely day and nite potty trained. We will also be celebrating her birthday at our first dinner. We have the late seating but have requested the early seating if we can get it. HOwever, we may just leave it be as our plans seem to work better with the late seating.

As for the dress code i saw. The younger kids can get away with kahkis and a nice shirt and the men can wear a suit and maybe a disney tie. My husband always wears his disney tie to dinners. My dd we just bought her a couple princess costumes and we are going to dress her in those for the formal nites.

Our shore exscurrions...umm we have none thru disney..lol..we are going deep sea fishing thru an outside fishing charter ( choose this so our dd could join us) at key west. our then that we plan on just walking around and seeing the sites we see at the other stops. Although i suspect the 15 yr old will wanna snorkel at cc. Our other big gift to me and dh is we are booking a massage for us. can't wait. Did'nt mean to get long winded with this. Add us to roll call please.

Welcome Tracy, It will probably be easiest to read back to find out who is here. But real quick, I am Karen 52, DH will be 53 at time of cruise (our first DC) and DGD will be 5. We live in So. CA .
As for excursions, I am still up in the air. Key West will probably be just on our own, unless you would like to share the info on the deep sea fishing! My husband :cloud9: LOVES fishing. What fun to surprise him with that.
Cozumel, still thinking. Grand Cayman we are thinking of the Pirate Adventure.
Madison has Cinderella, Christmas Belle and Snow White gowns that she wants to pack already. She is quite excited.

Congratulations and best of luck with your new career Kim!! :thumbsup2
I hope you sell tons of houses that all close before next May!!
Oh and great job Kaylin :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
What a great feeling to beat other kids, not to mention boys!! Keep up the good work and pretty soon your name will be as famous as Danika Patrick!

Excursions....
I am beginning to think we will be doing the same thing in every port! Both my guys want to do the White Knuckle Thrill Boat in KW, and since we have been here 2x before, I don't need-or care to- shop. Then in Grand Caymen they have the Thriller Jet boat, which is what we did last year and had the absolute best time, that we want to do that again....I am seeing a theme here...:)
Can't decide in Coz if we will do the Tropical Jeep tour again or the Dolphin Discovery or just pretend it's a day at sea??

Just hoping someone might give me some new ideas...:)

Lisa

My husband did the deep sea thing in Key West on our last Western cruise. The waves were big and he was heaving over the side the whole time but did manage to catch one biggun'! Since he threw up all over his shirt, he took it off and was slightly upset because some guy hit on him :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Should have stayed in Margaritaville with me :teeth: Thanks for all the compliments everyone, it really gives Kaylin a self esteem boost :grouphug:
FL KIM

We are thinking about the tropical jeep tour also. I am going to wait til after Christmas and then start going over all my notes.

Fl Kim.....Congrats on your new career. My DH's whole family (aunts, mom, dad, brother, cousins, wife etc) are all in real estate. He is the only one that is not. Of course we are the poor black sheep in the family! They all have big rich fancy houses, but are so miserable and most of them have been divorced and remarried 3 times each!
So.....we are rich in other ways. We have a great marriage and love doing things together as a family.

So, that brings us to the other topic...Thanksgiving. We will not be seeing any of them and will be staying home and my son's new girlfriend and her mom will probably be here.
Hope you all have a safe one. Here in So Cal.there is just too much traffic and road rage to travel on the holiday!

Way to go Florida Kim. You will be bringing home the big bucks soon :thumbsup2 . Tell Kaylin I said congrats and that it's Courtney's mommy's fault for not sending her letter. I think I'm just going to turn over the computer to her and start letting her e-mail instead. (since I can't seem to get to the post office)

I will be doing Thanksgiving with dh's family at lunch and my family for dinner. Everyone lives pretty close. Well sort of, my only living sibling lives in Louisiana and is going to WDW to have Thanksgiving dinner with Mickey and see the parade. Why won't he take me  ?

I have a ? for everyone. Is there anyone else that's in a Cat 11 Gty? If so please let us know what you get as soon as you find out. I'm praying hard for a good upgrade.

Take care everyone! Karen

Well off hand i dont recall the site but i know we took the last time slot they had for when we would be in port with them. sorry :sad1: Can always do a search..i know there is a disney excursion for deep sea fishing at one of the ports. cant recall which one.

CruiseBound...We are staying at the same hotel as you and taking the same shuttle time to the cruise..our little ones if i remember correctly are the same age as well. About what time will you be getting to the hotel that friday? We are leaving thursday evening and driving overnite ourselves.

Tracy

We have always just been 5 of us. I don't have any relatives in CA, just a 2 Aunts and 1 Uncle in NJ. This year it will be DH and I. DD#1 and granddaughter and DD's new boyfriend, DS and DD#2 and her boyfriend. DD#1's new boyfriend had offered to help cook. I'm in love  .I'm hoping this guy is a keeper!

I believe the deep sea thing my husband went on was called the doube down. Very nice and professional. It was'nt his fault Carl was hanging over the boat the whole time ;)
Had my first day yesterday, I am a little lost right now...Okay, a lot lost. It's hard here because I have no family here and I know no one, so I am on my own as far as getting business. There is a part of me saying what the heck am I doing, I was such a good dental assistant! Oh well, I guess I have something to fall back on!
Kim

Karen- I think the e-mail thing is a great idea because I did the same thing you did! Courtney would get more from Kaylin if we did it that way! Can she e-mail at the address you gave me?

Kim in Florida, using my home e-mail is fine. Courtney would love that. And I'm sure your going to be as good of a realtor as you were a dental assistant. I little tip from KY, when I'm having a rough day start humming zippideedoodah. Happy people sell houses. I just accepted an offer on my property we were selling about an hour ago :cool1: and I swear the realtor has the whitest teeth I've ever seen. :rotfl2:

Tracy, Thats wonderful that we're going to be at the same hotel and shuttle. We are leaving Thursday about 3 or 4 ish and driving til about 11 then stopping for the night. Then Friday we will drive the rest. Hoping to be there early morning. I want to go to Ron Jon's and probably visit my hubbys aunt. Maybe we could meet up and let the kids get to know each other. Whereabouts in OH are you from? We go to both Bass Pro shops alot and the occasional trip to KI or the zoo. We're about 15 minutes outside of Lexington or about 30 minutes off I-75. Can't wait to meet you guys.

Karen, We plan on being in florida early morning ourselves. We live in the northwest corner about an hr south of toledo in a little town called fostoria.
You taking I-75 down to florida? i think we are going the eastern route this time..usually we take I-75 straight down since we live about 30 mins from I-75. Yeah maybe in the evening we can meet up and let the kids play. I read something about a manatee viewing somewhere close and i think we will check that out. we have a couple friends that live in the orlando area that may come over to the hotel too if they are free. time will tell.. i am just sooo ready to go right now. i got the dreaded sinus infection going on and have no ambition to even do my areobics class this week.

We have never done deep sea fishing. We have wanted too numerous times when we have been there but the kids have never been of age for us to go and we have a rule that if the entire family can't go then we don't do it. So i was a very happy camper when i found someone who encourages to bring your entrie family including the little ones.

And as far as backtracking...lol..i printed the entire 25 pages out at work on sunday and read it while running my machine to get up to date. :cool1:

Well at least I can relax a bit now. Ds found out that he would only miss three days and his professors are ok with that. Whew! Of course, they all want to come along, but at least they will allow him to make up the work! I hate having to get the ok from two different places, but this will be the last year I have to do that. 1. because ds will be graduating high school this year and will only be at college and 2. the next trip will just be dh and I...ds can stay home and take care of the dogs!

So, you all are stuck with us, we are coming on this cruise for sure! :)

Lisa

Well that must be a relief for you to know Lisa. I would have been bouncing off the walls waiting to know!! :Pinkbounc
Speaking of bouncing off walls, Does anyone know what room they are in yet? We are in 6628. Any body close by?

Hi Karen,
Yes, I was bouncing off the walls...it was nervewracking.

We are in 6116.
