May 3rd-10th****Dis Maytees-May Magic send off

We're on the NJ/PA border too...just a lot further south! (near Philly)...PopCentury is cool...we liked movies too, but we like PC better. Not sure why, really...it just seemed more convenient.

BOOK PALO FIRST...that is where the big rush will be. THEN do the excursions. Good luck to all that are trying to do that tonight!

Well, I was able to book Palo dinner for day 5 at 7:30, its pirate night, but we will still go to our main seating with the kids and my parents; and I booked a facial. Palo brunch and tea's are unavailable. I still have to do the run to rockin bar d for brunch ressies. :rotfl: But I am happy with how things are turning out. My mom was also able to book Palo for dinner on day 1. We want to do brunch all together. So far so good!

Could only book Palo for late on Pirate night, looks like will need to change this!
In UK I have had to get up at 5am to log on, and by time I struggled awake it was about 530am and little available!
Never mind.....will keep checking back in incase anything else opens up and if not get to Port early to change.
Think we will prefer to go Pirate party

Hello from a very cold and frosty Uk

Lyn

Hi Lyn, glad you found us over here!

You may have better luck once aboard the ship if you arrive early enough. Good luck!

Sounds like tonight was frustrating for a couple of you. I'm sorry to hear that. Truly hoping it all works out for everyone. :)

I got in just fine to reserve some things for one of our friends traveling with us, but the other couple were not able to log on at all. Luckily I reserved parasailing for all of us. The only thing they missed out on was a couples massage on Castaway Cay.

We had our Palo reservations already as we were able to make them all in our booking window. We do have to do the Rockin D dash with the rest of you however as we are in 2 groups of 3 at different times.

Why is the DCL system so difficult to navigate and use????

Linda

I don't know if anyone saw my post on the main page, but I had some serious issues. I was logged in at about 11:45 PM and kept refreshing, once the reservations became available, a window popped up and said that I hadn't made my final payment!!!!!!!!! I was so angry. And, I started crying. DH is a computer programmer and had me log in and out and said that probably is the issue... and it was. I just had to do it twice. :surfweb: He said that usually this happens when you do refresh on any site, the computer is just too smart. :wizard:

Anyway, we didn't even plan on getting Palo dinner but since brunch and high tea were not available... we booked it for the last night. Is this an ok time to go? The thing I was most worried about were excursions, and I got the one in GC that I wanted. I also booked the Banana Boat on CC.

And... I don't know if the fish and chips that I had for supper impacted my sleep... but I dreamed last night that K-Fed was on the cruise... :lmao:

Misslissa,

I had exactly the same problem when my 90 day window opened. I got the same message that you did and it took me several minutes of crying frustration before I figured out that I needed to log out and then back in.

I am glad you got Palo dinner, and keep trying for brunch and tea. As others have said, head right to Rockin'D and you might get lucky for both.

I know this feeling! I cried and screamed when I couldn't get in at the 90 day mark. I posted my problem on the board and luckily, someone was up late enough to help me but in the meantime, slots were being taken!
Then on top of that, I reserved everything and logged off. About 30 minutes later, I wanted to check something and all of my reservations were GONE! I had to redo my ressies and weren't able to get some when we originally had them. Oh, I was not a happy camper that night/morning!

Glad everyone eventually got in and got some kind of ressies. I had to get Palo onboard the last 2 cruises and it wasn't difficult. Just try to get to the port early (I think we've been group 4 both years). We get there around 10 or 10:30ish, I think. It will work out for you!!

Faith & Hope,

I remember reading your post that night and totally sympathizing. I will be running to Rockin D to make changes to our reservations and insure that we can eat both meals, brunch and dinner as one group and not two.

We plan on being at the port right at 10:00, even if we do it in two groups. It only takes one of us to be there early and get the coveted low boarding number.

Good luck making any more reservations or changes to the ones you have now.

Linda

I was wondering how all the 75 day'ers made out...Sorry it sounds like you had some issues. Hopefully you'll be able to get what you want onboard...Here's hoping!!!

Like many others on this thread, we logged on last night hoping to get lucky and find Palo brunch availability.

Oh well. We did book Palo dinner for the last evening and will try to swap it for a brunch if possible in port. We're a bit afraid a Palo dinner would have our kiddos in the club past bedtime and into meltdown (after a long beach day at CC).

Inside of 75 days! Not long now!

We booked Palo for dinner on the last night too but we really did want brunch. So, I guess we'll see what happens when we get to the ship.

Is anyone else staying at the Hyatt at the airport the night before? I'm wondering what time we leave from there (possibly on the first bus) to get to the port? :wizard:

I tried to log in, but it didn't work out for me.
I could log in at 00.23 so there was no Palo left there.....

But i do have all the excursions that i wanted.

I notice that some cruise meet threads have lots going on. Fish extenders, graphics, all kinds of stuff... are we going to participate in this kind of thing? Is anyone interested?

I hope we can do some fun stuff. We have a meet scheduled for 3 in the Promenade Lounge on embarkation day. And some of us are doing the Stingray City tour together but that is all I know about.

Does anyone want to coordinate an activity? IF so speak up!:goodvibes

Am reading all I can find here and the info is great!
Looking forward to meeting new peops!
Any one else either from UK or older (50ish)? with or without littlies is fine?

Lyn

Lyn,

We are a group of 6.....I am the youngest at 47 and no we do not have kids travelling with us.

Hope to meet you onboard.

There is a big group of us all meeting in the Promenade Lounge at 3:00 on the day we board. Come by and say hello.

What's involved in coordinating an activity? I would love for us to do the fish extender thing, but I'm not sure what I would do if I "coordinated" it. Don't we just take the roll call list and go from there? I can help out -- just let me know what to do! :lovestruc

:goodvibes Cool!
We will be the couple with the funny accents
I will be the one behind a camera
You all sound so nice!

Lyn,

I most likely have a funny accent as well as I am a former New Yorker now living in North Carolina.....I can say "y'all" and somehow still make it sound slightly Brooklyn.

We will be the group of 6 slightly rowdy women, and I too will most likely be behind a camera.

My partner Lisa and I took our first cruise....Disney or otherwise... on the Wonder last year and promptly fell in love with cruising. Our friends sneered slightly when we told them we were taking a Disney cruise. After they heard our stories, saw our pictures and heard Lisa's ( who is not as much of a Disney lover as I am...) stories of total pampering and relaxation they were hooked and we all put a deposit down on our cruise for May.

We are all so excited and it is my friend Karen's first trip anywhere outside the USA.

Looking forward to meeting you onboard.

Linda
