May 3rd-10th****Dis Maytees-May Magic send off

Any other 5 year old girls out there? We can't be taken over by little boys!!:goodvibes

Well, my dd is 7, fairly close. It is my poor son who will be 10 next month that is having a hard time finding another child his age.

Well, I just booked the 10 AM Captain Marvin's, so I'll let you guys know when we're confirmed. I've never been snorkling before! DH is a non-swimmer; will he be able to do snorkling with a life jacket on?

In Cozumel we are just going to spend the day at Chankanaab. I've heard really good things about it, and my sister went there on a cruize years ago and loved it. I figure since we're "doing and seeing" things in Key West and Grand Cayman that we'd be a bit more laid back in Cozumel.

We will also be at Chankanaab. Figured we would do it on our own.

My dh is not super comfortable in the water either so I don't know how he will be. He also has very fair skin so he probably will only be in the water for a little while and then go in for some shade/cover up. Hopefully, I can get him to be our photographer when he is not in the water.

Hey,

Thanks for the link to Captain Marvin's. They look excellent although I still am a big fan of the tour offered through DCL. It might sound corny, but I have never been to the Caribbean, or on a cruse, so I wanna stick with DCL for our two excursions.

Originally, we were going to do the Island Tour and Stingray City Observer in GC, but then I logged in and the observer is no longer on the list. So, it looks like it'll be snorkeling for us. DH isn't a swimmer either, but I'm confident that he enjoys the water enough that it'll be worth it... he says it is his natural habitat... though the man isn't a good swimmer. :rotfl:

For Cozumel, we were originally going to do the Fury Catamaran and Beach Party but it doesn't look as fun as Chankanaab and the Discover Mexico Tour. I love tours, can you tell? I wanna see stuff I've never seen before...

For Key West, and Castaway Cay, we're going to do our own exploring and relaxing. I think we'll need it by the time we get to CC. :cutie:

Somewhere earlier on this thread, someone named Mary (I didn't include DIS ids on my list if names were given...DUH) posted that she's cruising with an 11 yo daughter (and a 9 yo and 12 yo)

Imgraciesmom has an 11 yo boy, and Sue136 has a 9 yo boy (no 10 yos, but 9 & 11 is pretty close).

One of Dawn 38's 5 yo twins is a girl, and there's someone named Maura who's sailing with her 5 yo daughter.

So fear not! You children will find friends. And my DS does not discriminate; he enjoys playing with boys and girls alike and also younger kids (he really likes playing with older kids too, but I don't think the feeling is very mutual!)

By the way, we're confirmed on Captain Marvin's! :thumbsup2

Ok. SO, DH and I were surfing You Tube last night and look at some videos of excursions... :surfweb: And, I discovered that the Discover Mexico tour is kinda corny. Not something I am interested in.

Now, I've hit a brick wall in my planning. Cozumel was one of the ports I was most interested in going to... and now I can't find anything to do there. We wanna do something with tour/shopping/beach/food. Is there such a wonderous tour? :rotfl:

Our final payment is already done. My mom and dad paid theirs too. Now to just get Palo, we will be all set.:cool1:

Yay! It worked. Now you can countdown. I know I post just so I can see my ticker sometimes.:lmao: I can't believe we are already under 3 months.

I got my Disney Rewards Card in the mail yesterday  I am so psyched I cannot stand it!!!

Can anyone help me out with some advice about GC? I'm confirmed on the 10 AM Captain Marvin's and my TA said that they would drop us off near the Turtle Farm if we requested, but I guess that was the case before they moved the Turtle farm. Joan at Captain Marvin's said that they could drop us off at the nearest bus stop, and we could take the bus there and back and that the busses run every 30 minutes. Do you think this is feasible with the time we have? I would be totally mortified if we didn't catch the bus back in time for the 4:30 deadline. Am I just being paranoid? :confused3

I have no idea about Captain Marvin's... but, I'm a really just hoping and praying that the time between now and the cruises comes soon!

Our last trip was 4 nights to WDW in May, about a year ago. Since two Septembers ago (I quit my previous job after our Disneymoon), I have been working as a contract employee at work that has not allowed me more than a day off per week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless it is a holiday time period.

So, here I am not having vacation for that long!!!!!!! I feel completely tired and worn out and I really need this week!!!!!!

Wow! you are due for a vacation. I guess we will find you camped out by the pool or on a lounger on deck 4.:thumbsup2

Hi Guys!! We are also going on this date. It'll be our first Disney Cruise, and the first cruise ever for the kiddos!! I'll be with my hubby, 4 boys (ages 8, 6, almost 4 and 2) and our baby girl (10 mos). We are beyond excited!!! Don't get alot of time near or in the ocean over here in Utah!! We will also be traveling with my 3 siblings, their spouses, 6 nieces/nephews and my parents. It's going to be soooo much fun!!!! Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you guys!! See ya!!:)

Yeah, it is worse 'cause I am a travel agent too... so it is staring at me in the face every day. Today we are on a winter storm warning. DH left work at 6 pm, it is almost 9 pm... traffic is so bad that he isn't home yet. It has been snowing non stop for the past couple of weeks it seems.

I just keep dreaming about the Caribbean... :cloud9:
