Hey Gang;

I have kind of been following this thread and it appears that you have a good group that is ready for some good times on the Magic! It's fun to read how excited all of you are. But there is a "downer" side of reading this too: it means I HAVE TO GET OFF THE SHIP when it gets to California! Darn. We'll try and leave that beautiful ship in mint condition for all of you taking the first west coast cruise.

Just wanted to say hello to all of you. I will be posting each day, probably a couple of times, from the ship as it makes it's journey to pick you up. Let me know if you have any questions or requests while I'm on board and I'll do my best!
Jim
Jim, try to find the firsttimers. They are on your cruise and ours.

wccruiser - we are also still waiting. Our TA says that she will have them on Monday and will forward them right on to us. So hopefully we will have ours within the next few days. Glad to hear you now have the passports.

I was just browsing through the other threads and found one that might interest more that just me. Do they have pink :Pinkbounc sugar, blue :flower: sugar, or yellow  sugar on board? (For those of you who don't know, that's Sweet n Low, Equal, or Splenda.) Here's a link to the discussion http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=803353 . It sounds like all three are available, but you might have to ask for the Splenda. Whoooooo, one less thing to worry about! :rotfl2:

We went into Disneyland today and lemme tell ya, I can't WAIT till Thursday for the celebration to begin! There were a lot of things under tarps and special platforms set up and extra wires going everywhere. My whole gang will be in the park on Thursday. Anyone else planning on going? I'll post that night if I can on what went down. But I bet it's going to be spectacular! :bitelip:

OK, still browsing the other threads and came across one on the availability of medical care on board. I know that there are a few of us with chronic medical conditions and a couple who have had some acute conditions in the past few weeks. Rest assured, help is definitely available. Here's the link http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=792919 . I only got through the first 2 pages and was totally convinced that we are in good hands.

I know that...can you believe it? 21 days on the Magic! Trust me, if the business we own could run itself (which it can't), and I had the money (which I don't), and my heart could take about 3 months of chicken fingers (which it wouldn't) I would spend a happy summer cruising from CA to Mexico and back!

Jim, thank you! That is a lovely offer. You Westbound folks sure are an enthusiastic and friendly crowd.

I think I'll be watching your posts eagerly that last week as you stop at all of our ports of call of Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo.

Please let us know any hidden treasure shopping and eating sites in those ports. I think many of us may be doing sightseeing on our own and would be interested in word of mouth recommendations. Again, thank you, and pleasant sailing! :sunny:

Enthusiastic? You think so? Yeah, it appears to be quite the group! I promise to keep you posted on all of the ports of call that we visit. We're excited about being on the Magic when she comes into CA. I know that your group is excited about being the first group to sail out of CA on her. It should be a fun and exciting day on the 28th!

Hi - we will be putting our just turned 5 year old, Kelly, in the 5-7 Club (at least at first). I know the 3-4 has more Princess activites (which Kelly absolutely LOVES) I just think hanging out with 3 year olds might be boring for a week. Of course if most of the kids that week are 4 in there, it might be really fun for her. I think we can always move her into the 3-4's if the 5-7 isn't a good fit?

Regarding the Champagne party. If we did use the Verandah, will they let us order a cheese/fruit platter :rotfl: I guess we could order for our room and just bring it there? Can't we? They don't care if you walk around with a platter, do they? :flower:

Wow... you folks sure do a LOT of posting!! LOL!!

Since I missed a week of posts, I missed like 20 pages of posts, though I did my best, i had to skip a few pages, so, i have a few comments/questions.. forgive me if i seeking repetition... :confused3

Champagne - Instead of "Vueve" try Shramsborg "Blanc de Blanc" its really nice as a reasoanably priced Champagne goes... i do NOT like M&C Dom Perignon, I like M&C White Star though... we can discuss champagnes any time.... lol... :drinking1

Meeting at Scoops- When are y'all doing that? Any other meets planned? :mickeybar

Lime Green - Will my DISboards.com t-shirt do? When are y'all "wearin' tha green?"

Schedule - Does anyone have a confirmed schedule of dining nights and themes? If not, i can call and get it.... just let me know... :teacher:

Anyone here practice martial arts at all that might like to get together a few times to practice together?

On a side note, my ex-best friend and I had a bit of a falling out, and so I have made a last minute substitution and I invited the girl I have been dating to go with me... so keep your fingers crossed!!! LOL... :rolleyes1

I believe we are in Room 8086 (cat3) but i will verify that... oh and I received the Docs Yesterday!! :cool1:

Rebecca-
You had me wondering, so I looked it up and found it was "Mine Train thru Nature's Wonderland" but before that the ride was know as "Rainbow Caverns Mine Train"
Yes I knew that also, but the question was what was there "previous" to Big Thunder, not what was there "originally". :confused3 I guess technically they are both "previous". :sad2:

Got the phone call this morning, and am picking them up this afternoon!!!!

:cool1:  :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cloud9: :bounce: :jumping1: :rockband:

Am waiting on our passports in the mail, but I know they'll be here very soon and am not worried.

Today is my very last day as a college student!!!!

peace--
Rebecca

Legal Briefs - So far, everyone is meeting at Scoops on the first day at 3pm, I think. It's almost starting to fall apart and be scattered around to different pools, due to not wanting to upset the kids by overwhelming them with adults. Your DIS board shirt should do just fine. This all started with those "Alien Green" Mickey head paint swatches at Home Depot (which some people have turned into name tags now). NOBODY has a confirmed schedule of anything accept where the boat is stopping. You can try, and if you do get anything confirmed PLEASE let us know. And good luck w/ your girlfriend.

Does anyone know if you are allowed to bring on a case of bottled water? I have read that you are allowed to carry on as much stuff as you "can", but are you restricted on what you bring? I am being cheap and don' t want to pay for bottled water when I can bring my own. Most of our group wants to bring a case of water in our "carry on". Has anyone done this before?

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to drop in and say hello. We are also on this cruise. We will be sailing with our DD7 and DD5. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise.

Looking forward to meeting you all on the ship.

Hi Sandy,

I don't know what the restrictions are, but we are planning on bringing some water bottles in our luggage. We'll probable spread them out a bit and hope they don't leak :umbrella:

It was very nice meeting all of you yesterday. Hope you have a wonderful time this Thursday at the BIG celebration! :jumping1: :jumping1:

528 Cruiser... WELCOME to the boards... if you haven't read, so that we can recognize each other on Boarding Day, we are all wearing lime green caps (Target $2.99 in womens accessories department) and are makeing name tags out of the "Alien Green" Mickey Mouse head shaped paint samples from Home Depot and that is also our "COLOR de Voyage"...
for those of you that are frantically searching the stores, or those of you who have proscrastinated, here is a link where I found Mens shirts, Womens dresses, etc... it lets you search by COLOR, which helps you to see EVERYTHING they offer:
http://www.target.com/gp/browse.html/ref=sc_iw_r_2_1/602-3063357-1713435?%5Fencoding=UTF8&node=13777221
That is the womens stuff, you have to click on Mens to find the Lime Green Polos or t-shirts.
Jedisan...
it was great meeting you and your family yesterday. . I know that we are going to totally enjoy our cruise with people like ya'll on board. I am planning on bringing a CASE of water so hiding it in my suitcase is not an option. I found a collapsable dolly for my luggage at Walmart (forgot the price) on which I am planning on strolling my water and extra suitcase. I'll just take my chances. Can't wait to meet everyone in JUST 25 and 26 days! :thewave:

Yes, Welcome 528Cruiser. Since you have 2 DD's you may be interested in the planned Scoops gathering (currently scheduled fro 3pm on departure day 5/28) and to save you time from reviewing all the posts. (the anticipation fever has hit, there were 493 posts in April alone), check out post #'s 752 & 749 for the Scoops list of attendees and age groups that your 2 DDs can meet. And Post 588 for who’s who (as of 4/24).

And PS.

If you have some loud green clothes you are afraid to wear in public, bring them. They will apparently be very fashionable on this trip. If everyone is going to wear the greens they are all threatening to wear, when the Magic docks in Mexico, the locals are going to think that either the Martians have come to visit or they are getting a boat full of plants delivered. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
