Welcome aboard 528 cruiser...feel free to pm me if you would like me to email you pics of my girl (5) as most of us w/the kids have been emailing pics back and forth so they can all recognize eachother!

Monday's Hidden Mickey (or search for the mouse #2):

On Deck 9, go forward young of heart, look down toward the "secret" crew pool and find another secret in the metal deck!

Challada,

I know it was directed at 528 Cruiser but I am interested in the photo exchange. I too have a 5 year old girl (well almost 5 year old, her birthday is next week). I just PM you about it.

I know that...can you believe it? 21 days on the Magic! Trust me, if the business we own could run itself (which it can't), and I had the money (which I don't), and my heart could take about 3 months of chicken fingers (which it wouldn't) I would spend a happy summer cruising from CA to Mexico and back!
Jim

I don't own a business, but I work lots of overtime, saved up my vacation time and made this trip a priority. We have been on all the DCL firsts, so we had to be on the first Panama Canal cruise and first West Coast cruise. Alex

Oh my, I have lots of things to write.

Jim, your cruise is coming up so quickly. I can't wait to read your posts from the westbound Panama cruise.

Jodi, we also get The Sacramento Bee. It's the first time I've known the answer to any of the trivia questions.

Ron, good luck with the new travel companion. I'm sure she'll be impressed with a cat 3. If you get any info on the theme nights, we'd love it if you could pass it on.

Margaret, since Mattie's 7, she'll be in the 5-7 year group. My DS is 4 though so he'll be with the 3-4 year olds. He's a real sweet heart and gets along well with boys or girls.

Madison's Mom and 528 cruiser, if you'd like a picture of my kids, send me a PM with your e-mail address. My kids would love to see pictures of your girls. I believe that those of us with young children are meeting at the Mickey pool at 2 pm so that the kids can meet in a smaller group.

528 cruiser, welcome to the board. My DD is 7. She'll be excited to know that there is another 7 year old from the DIS group. There are quite a few DIS board girls in the 5-7 group.

Grammiegail, thank you for posting the link to the medical emergency thread. That was so thoughtful. Sammy's recovery is going more slowly than expected. The docs are a little puzzled as to what's going on. They still expect a complete recovery. We are just having to take it easy. I have become a complete crazy woman about washing hands and using hand sanitizer. Sammy can't afford to get another stomach virus right now.

Rebecca, congratulations on finishing class. Do you have finals next week? How many? I think I remember you saying graduation was going to be 5/14.

I still don't have my docs yet. I know why though. Our TA called my mom to ask where to send the docs. My mom is out of town for a week so she told the TA to mail them to her but to wait until next week. I couldn't believe it. Why didn't she just have her mail them to me?????????????? I can't wait to see them.

Hey Alex..

I think it's great! I would have loved to be on that first sailing out of Calif also. I'm envious of all the DCL trips you have been on. This will be our third..I didn't discover DCL until my DD turned 3 and we took the first Magic trip "for her". I had no idea that we would love them as much as she does. Looking forward to meeting you on the repo cruise.

By the way, how does that work on the back to back? You have the same cabin? Do you have to get off and clear customs and wait to re-board? Just curious..

Carrie-

I know I got your pictures and Challada's. If anyone else sent me any, I'm sorry, but Carrie and Challada's are the only ones I have. Grace would love to see all the girls pics, so everyone else please PM me and I'll give you my email address and you can give me yours if you'd like.::MinnieMo

Best wishes to Sammy for a continued recovery.:wizard:

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is having a good day.

528 - I have two DD's also (Kelly is 5 and Ava will be 21 months). Please meet us at the Mickey Pool at 2:00 on the day we leave as we are planning to introduce the kids.

Madison's Mom - I'd be happy to exchange photos of the kids too. Most of us with girls in the 5-7 range exchanged photos of the whole family so we can spot each other.

As a matter of fact, maybe we should all exchange brand new photos the week we leave. Kids grow so fast :flower:

Is anyone else started to stress a bit about remembering to get everything for the trip? I am trying to keep a list going!

My suitcase is OPEN on my bedroom floor and as I get things I toss them in so I won't forget to pack them later... Many trips I have left things that I bought "especially" for that trip, but not anymore.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

This cruise is a surprise to our kids. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces as we drive and approach the ship.

I'll work on digging up some pictures to send. You can PM yours as well to me so we can get familiar with the faces, but I'm still trying to figure out how we can show the pictures to our kids without blowing the surprise. Any suggestions?

Margaret, thank you for the good wishes for Sammy's recovery.

Sue, I am starting to stress about forgetting things. I think I'm going to put a suitcase out like Sandy and start tossing things in there.

528 cruiser, could you tell them that they are going to go to a day camp this summer and these are kids that will be at camp with them?

582 Cruiser - That is SO COOL. I know I would have DIED if my parents had taken us on a Disney cruise as a surprise. That's about the best surprise I can even think of! Kudos to you on keeping "the magic" alive for your kids. :wizard: That's great. You could show them the pictures and tell them something small is going on, like a family picnic, or a big day at the beach and these are kids of people who will be there. I'd try and make it as nonchalant as possible, to keep the severity of the surprise for when they arrive. I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOUR KIDS! :Pinkbounc

Wow... you folks sure do a LOT of posting!! LOL!!

Since I missed a week of posts, I missed like 20 pages of posts, though I did my best, i had to skip a few pages, so, i have a few comments/questions.. forgive me if i seeking repetition... :confused3

Champagne - Instead of "Vueve" try Shramsborg "Blanc de Blanc" its really nice as a reasoanably priced Champagne goes... i do NOT like M&C Dom Perignon, I like M&C White Star though... we can discuss champagnes any time.... lol... :drinking1

Meeting at Scoops- When are y'all doing that? Any other meets planned? :mickeybar

Lime Green - Will my DISboards.com t-shirt do? When are y'all "wearin' tha green?"

Schedule - Does anyone have a confirmed schedule of dining nights and themes? If not, i can call and get it.... just let me know... :teacher:

Anyone here practice martial arts at all that might like to get together a few times to practice together?

On a side note, my ex-best friend and I had a bit of a falling out, and so I have made a last minute substitution and I invited the girl I have been dating to go with me... so keep your fingers crossed!!! LOL... :rolleyes1

I believe we are in Room 8086 (cat3) but i will verify that... oh and I received the Docs Yesterday!! :cool1:

OK, too many pages to read????? You just have to look at this as a kind of exercise. If you only exercise once a week, chances are you will end up with sore muscles. So, the moral of the story is check in more than once a week or you will end up with eye strain! :earseek:

Champagne... :drinking: ..M&C White Star is one of my favorites. I also am partial to Piper H (not Sonoma) and Domaine Chandon's blanc de noir. Scharffenberger (the vitner, not the chocolatier) makes a pretty nice bubbly also.

Scoops - I think the last time was 2:30. Other meets are still up in the air except for 3:00 at Grand California pool cafe on Friday.

DISboard-t is perfectly acceptable.

Martial arts? Nope. Marital arts? Yup. So, if the new "roomie" works out, I am available for consultation! :rotfl2:
