Just stopped by the sprint phone people at our mall, They recommend buy a pay as you go phone in europe ,since they don't have many service areas in europe, they said to call the international office for sprint to find out if our areas will be covered. He also said if you buy one of the phones over there you can forward your calls from you phone to that phone. It will run you about 50cents a minute. He gave me the info to do that so if anyone needs that let me know. I don't know about anyone else but feels like my anxiety level has hit a high. I am the only one in my family who is trying to get packed. Teenage DD not worried. DH probably depending on me to pack for him. Have to Go to College DS tomorrow to get him packed .. After reading all the threads how people are already packed and repacked i am really worried. Have to work the 3 days before we leave so want to have everything done this weekend. But at least we have our paper work. Lori any word on your passports. well i am off to work my 12 hour shift in a pedi er everyone have a good day and happy packing cindy

You guys will get used to see me wearing the same stuff over and over- in different combinations- and with incorrect foot wear- over and over.

If the foot doesn't get better- the footwear will really be horrid!


but hey, the majority of my suitcase weight is going to scuba gear- you can tell where my priorities are- not looking good for this cruise. After all, hubby isn't with me- and I'm not trying to catch a man- so what the heck!

Talked with Cingular / AT&T last night and they are $1.29 per minute, I don't need to do anyting special -just dial a 1 for numbers to the states - local for each country I am in.

I started to pack DH's clothes and I think I overpacked already His stuff is taking a lot of room in our bags.

Here's what I packed:

-6 tshirts
-5 polo shirts
-7 dress shirts(4 short sleeve/3 long sleeve)
-3 pairs of jeans
-2 casual pants
-1 black dress pants
-1 windbreaker
-3 pairs of shoes (black,brown and Crocs)
-1 bathing suit
-1 track pants
-3 pairs of shorts
-Tuxedo (we are renting the shoes)

Am I over packing?


What are the guys bringing on this trip?

Even though I have not packed yet....I am sure it will be way over that amount. I am impressed that you did that well.
We have 5 in the family and 4 are girls---2 of those are 16 years of age. I never responded to the shoe discussion but with 4 girls---WE HAVE SHOES!!!
Disney is going to throw our luggage overboard!

I am right there with you!! My anxiety level is at an all time high. No one in the family will even look at me when I discuss packing. The teenage DD's-16-are not worried at all either. I think I have the DD-11- ready to start on Friday night because she wants to go to a friends house Saturday night so we made a deal. So you are not alone! I think with packing so late hopefully the only problem we have is overpacking and not forgetting something.

Online Registration:

Has anyone else completed their online registration? My sister went to complete hers and it wouldn't let her do the final step until her flight information was input (even though it wasn't made through DCL). She went to put the information in and it would not allow her to because it did not take international flights. She had to call DCL and they told her that you must call them so that they can manually input the information into their computers. Weird, huh?

Has anyone else had this information or process verified?

I entered my flight informatin ages ago when I booked my flight and BCN was there and so were other international airports. When I went to print my contract the international airports were no longer there, but I had no problem printing.

Well, did our 1st run thru on packing. I was able to get all the clothes in one suitcase and just shoes and for the other one!!! Not too bad since I am the queen of over-packing. DH's clothes and shoes won't even fill one suitcase. Do you realize how much room that leaves for souvenears? I must add, I haven't weighed it yet. We bought one of the 'suitcase scales' just to make certain that we will be under the limit.
Now, please everyone, think healing thoughts for my DGD ...she's six and I just picked her up from school with a fever and not feeling well at all. At least it is BEFORE the trip.... Thank goodness. In advance, thank you for the warm, healing thoughts!
Here's to travel one week from today !!! BCN, watch out, here we come!

Sorry Brown can't vote against Apolo. It will be interesting if Joey wins because the winners usually have guest appearances after the show is over. If Joey wins, he may be too busy with other obligations to make this trip.

Crocs will be fine. Our DS-2 lives in his! It is all about his "mickey shoes". I will be sporting mine too...a more reserved black though!

Keep in mind that Europeans have crazy taste in shoes anyway. Some really wild stuff is in fashion!

You will be fine! But careful with the smooshing in the suitcase. My sons got creases that took a few days to get out after the were just packed in his diaper bag! stuff them with something if you can.

I agree, take out all but 2 dress shirts. Take out all but 2 T-Shirts, and maybe one less Polo? Do what they say, pack and then take 1/2 out. With laundry facilities, it's easier to wash than to drag an extra bag around. Just coordinate your dh's dress clothes so the the same pants and shoes will work for all dress-up attire. Just an idea.

Passport update:

I think I'll have them tomorrow. I called good old Senator Hatch's office yesterday, and they got right to it. They made an immediate call yesterday, and today at noon they told me that they will be overnighted today. I hope the passport agents were more honest with the Senator's office than they were with me. (Since I had been told that 3x previous.)

So, thanks for the pixie dust, just give me one more dusting for good luck that they'll arrive tomorrow.

Now, is another story. I keep washing, my teenage boys keep wearing, and despite my threats, nothing is staying in the suitcase. They're up for sale....on second thought, I'll pay you to take them!

FYI....I'm taking more than one pair of underwear, so ya'll can stand to be around me.... JK....we're still laughing here about turning them inside out.
