Laurie, Congrats on the good news!:cutie: I thought your son was named after my favorite brand of silver jewelry. I like your story better.

Thanks! :) I discovered the jewelry AFTER he was born. I am a frequent shopper now! VERY toddler proof necklaces too.

He actually proposed at the top of the Eiffel tower! :) He is sometimes a sap...normally not! :) hehe He has his moments!

Hotel Breighton was BEAUTIFUL! We had the huge suite on the top floor. WOW! But they were renovating it when we visited. So we had to use the stairs and the TINY service elevator...that was SCARY!

As for alcoholic drinks we know there are a LOT of good "virgin" drinks on the boat... i will be fine! :) Just makes no fun for the wine tours... i will survive!

-Laurie

That is so cool and romantic! WOW!!!

At least we separated the wine tasting and the suite tour - so now you won't have to sit and watch a bunch of people drinking wine!

Sue

Prince and Princesses night is also semi-formal.

There is one formal night on 5/27th.
There are two semi-formal nights. One on June 1st and one on June 4th.

Sue

Cool, I'll remember to pack my tiara - lol

Online Registration:

Has anyone else completed their online registration? My sister went to complete hers and it wouldn't let her do the final step until her flight information was input (even though it wasn't made through DCL). She went to put the information in and it would not allow her to because it did not take international flights. She had to call DCL and they told her that you must call them so that they can manually input the information into their computers. Weird, huh?

Has anyone else had this information or process verified?

Tracy, Glad to hear the surgery went well.:goodvibes

Celeste, Are you able to walk? This injury sounds painful.

Ron, We rented formal shoes for Bob, Brett and Dad. Only $12 each and we don't have to lug them around.

For those of you from the warm states, those high 70 degree temps made me wonder if I had enough short sleeve and sleeveless stuff in my piles of stuff to be packed. DD was worried that she might not get to swim in the Med. on one of our excursions.

I can hobble...I no longer need crutches, but I have to wear a brace/soft cast when I am walking. Hopefully I will find out my MRI results tomorrow.

The first formal night will me my wedding anniversary- without my husband. :rotfl:

One the May 2005 Panama Canal crusie- we did have a cruise baby- Emma!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Passports yet?:guilty:

Passports yet?:guilty:
No, I've been getting the run around. Each agent tells you a different story. This morning the agent said that it shows that they are due to be printed today, which means they'll be mailed and be here tomorrow. I called back just before they would have been mailed to verify....surprise surprise, they didn't go out. The next agent this afternoon, says, no, they're due to be printed tomorrow.

A long story short - I called my senator's office after I made the last call this afternoon to the passport agency. Supposedly if they call they're good about getting them out 24 hrs. later. I'm glad I fibbed (I hate to lie) and moved my departure date up.

Thanks for asking....

Funny : ) Our son is OBSESSED with hippos. I love that song.

So who wants my share of alcohol? hehe:lmao: :lmao:

My DH and I will sacrifice our livers to assist in consuming alarming amounts of alcohol. If any goes wasted, now THAT'S alcohol abuse!
Mari

Does anyone know someone who isn't going on our cruise who would be willing to post photos from our trip that I can email them? I fully intend on using my unlimited email messages from my blackberry- since I have a camera on my blackberry, I can send TONS!

Any suggestions?

T- Glad to hear that Mom is doing well. I enjoyed talking to you earlier today while I was getting my flat tire fixed. I may have a solution for you and your cell phone issues...

Someone else asked about my foot earlier...
I had my MRI today- and the tech let me look at the films, all I can tell you is that there is swelling and two areas that look "iffy" to me. You have to remember that I am used to looking at MRI's of the brain or spine- so an ankle is really foreign to me.

I attempted to do non-weight baring exercise today- riding a stationary bike and that was a mistake. My ankle is now double in size again.

I am going to follow up with my doc on Wednesday, I was going to ask and see if I could go back to work on Thursday, but after today- I don't think I'll ask.

But, I can drive short distances now without it killing- that is a PLUS!:yay:

From one nurse to another..have you tried Jobst stockings? My orthopedic surgeon told me to get some when I tore my solis muscle....training for a 5K. They work WONDERS. I wear them all the time at work and when I run and at disneyland. My legs feel so much better. the swelling is negligible and I have absolutely no problems. they are pricey, but so worth the $.
Mari:yay:

OK, I am embarassed, :sad2: I think I am taking more shoes than most of you ladies... :scared1:

I am taking:
1) Sneakers (wearing on board)
2) Birkenstocks (for pirate night and toga party)
3) Docksiders (casual walking about)
4) Black dress shoes
5) Formal Black Shoes
6) Hiking boots (for Pompei hike up Vesuvius(SP?))

Thats just not right....

Not to worry...I'll save you...working on 8 prs....teva, 2 crocs, running, dress x2,and 2 other pairs of sandals. I just can't be caught without proper shoe attire....altho I haven't weeded out odds and ends yet...may get it down to 6 or 7. We'll seellll:rolleyes1
Mari

I think I will put my Dis' name, only because if I put "Lori", everyone wouldn't necessarily know who I am.

Ok, y'all...I've asked at least 3 times... what are some little surprises that you can put in the fish extenders?!!! I used to have a mind like a steel trap....now it's like a colander with a loose trap door!! Help me, Obi won knobe! (SP) Mari:confused: :headache:

Yes, our TA did it for us. Very painless and it is done. If they are going to offer international cruises, they best expand their horizens...or at least the countries and cities! Mari

Lori - I cannot believe your passports are taking this long, I would be fuming!!! I hope they do print them tomorrow.

I started to pack DH's clothes and I think I overpacked already  His stuff is taking a lot of room in our bags.

Here's what I packed:

-2 casual pants
-1 black dress pants
-1 windbreaker
-3 pairs of shoes (black, brown and Crocs)
-1 bathing suit
-1 track pants
-3 pairs of shorts
-Tuxedo (we are renting the shoes)

Am I over packing?

What a star he is - how lovely. I know what you mean about the little elevators our room was nearer that one so we used it too. I went with my friend on a girly weekend to see the moulin rouge.

you are all worrying me about packing now theough as I havent even started thinking aout it. we have a marathon weekend as it is my birthday and my dauhters first holy communion as well as my nephews birthday so we will be partied out by monday. I am not planning on even getting the luggage out of the loft until next week, athough I do have several pairs of shoes picked out.

Does anyone have any ideas regarding bags when we get back to barcleona. Our flight is a late flight not until 9.45pm so we are goign to have to drag bags around all day. I have been thinking about hiring a car for the day but I don't know which rental office is close to the port - any ideas?

Avis is close to the port. Not sure about others. At the train station there are others and luggage lockers. Sue can fill in everything I've missed :goodvibes
