Same here in Wisconsin! Got the documents and we got our cruise t-shirts from Cafe Press!!

Interesting information with the documents -- iPod downloads available, info on the cell service.

Oh, tell us more about the iPod downloads. That sounds VERY interesting.

Scooby,

You want DH, DD, and DSis in your section. DH has been reading every book he can find on Walt Disney and Disney Corp. DD is almost 13 and remembers lines of dialogue and who sings the songs. DSis is the same as DD only with older stuff. I wonder if the questions will be similar to the ones they used in Mousekettier (sp?) Those questions covered everything. DH and DSon were picked a couple of years ago. They won $140. He didn't know that Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson sang the theme song to Beauty and the Beast. DD & I knew, but were sitting in the audience. They wanted to know where movies premiered and when.

We FOR SURE want them in our section. I emailed Disney, they wouldn't tell me what day so that we could add the exact date and time to page 55. I guess we'll just stick w/meet @ preludes before the show? How long before the show? I'm clueless, they didn't have this on our last DCL.

The types of questions they asked were number answers. For example, one was how many panels are on the spaceship earth. The teams that were the closest got one point and if you got it exactly right it was "on the nose" and you got more points. The best thing to have is a trivia book and someone who can very, very quickly find the answers in the book :lmao:

Just found out that we've gone from a Cat 7 to Cat 5 (from cabin 7126 to 7544). :cool1:

Have no idea what may have led to that, but it's a nice upgrade to a regular veranda and to pretty much midship.

I've been trying to catch up here, since I've been away from the boards for about three weeks (lots of work travel). It's been fun reading.

Thanks to all of you who work hard at getting information and then take time to post it; has been very helpful!

We have Lou Mongello's Trivia book. I'll be sure to pack it.

I remember there was a website where you could download Disney trivia to study for Mousecatier. Maybe we could highlight all the questions involving numbers. I'll ask DH when he gets home if he remembers where he found the website.

Wow, I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I'm sure glad I'm going on this adventure!!!! Do ya think we'll REALLY have enough time to taste all the wines and food? oh heaven:banana: Well, it may be a challenge, but I will sacrifice myself and my DH to the job. Promise to do our best....anyone else up to the challenge?:yay: :drinking1

We leave for BCN 2 weeks and 9 hrs and 25 minutes....but who's counting?!:teacher: :cool1:

Wishing for our docs to arrive soon..,Mari

You betcha we are up to the challenge of tasting all the food, and especially the wines! (Well, actually just me; Kim is not much one for wine, though she does enjoy sweet fruity concoctions).

We'll be leaving in 2 weeks and a day (may 24)--can't wait!!

There was some discussion about this a few pages back, and for what it's worth, it was my experience last month in Germany (I was there for 2 weeks) that ATM's really did give the best exchange rates. I consistently got a cost of $1.39 to a euro, inclusive of the fee my bank tacked on, whereas some of my counterparts who exchanged cash or traveler's cheques got more like $1.45 to $1.49 after fees. That adds up after a while.

I also found--though keep in mind this was eastern Germany and may or may not apply to Italy, Spain, and France--that many shops had a credit card minimum and many smaller shops did not take credit at all. VISA and MC are pretty much all over; AmEx not as widely accepted.

Yeah! We got our travel documents!!!

Uh....hmm....uh...why was I looking forward to these? There's really nothing there but hardcopies of what I've been able to see on-line for over a year!

Am I missing something?

~Mike

Just need to vent to someone...

So I have had this vacation planned for almost 1 year and work has known about it since booking. I am an executive assistant and support 4 guys and I am a back up 3 more of which 2 are the President/CEO and COO of the company.

Anyway, I just sent out an email to the group I work with giving them the 2 week count down - so they can get things to me to get done so my back-up who just started with the company on April, 26th would not go crazy.

So the plan was to have our receptionist cover phones at my desk as well as little tasks that come from my group and we would hire a temp for the front desk. Well, guess what - our receptionist just gave her notice. Now I am totally stressed about my guys being taken care while I am gone. I know this is not my fault, but why do I feel so bad?

Thanks for listening...

BTW - I have lost 18 lbs to date - hoping for 2 more before the cruise. Now I have to try on my dresses and bathing suit this weekend to see if I fit or if I need to go shopping.

I am also eating Lime GREEN Jell-o (sugar free - per the diet) and thought about all of you on the DIS.

Congratulations on the weight loss. That is awesme!!

...and hugs about the situation at work. I know how you feel and I don't have anywhere near as responsible a job, but I'm already stressing about what will be waiting for me when we get back.

...but just know that it will all work out just fine in the end. So, go on the cruise with a good conscience and let the guys fend for themselves ;-)

Don't let this put a damper on your excitement. Yes you are concerned about them, but they have known for some time now and they'll be fine. I used to be that way too so I do understand how you feel. They'll make it ok!

I bought some euro's at our credit union and paid $1.44. Not a deal, but I felt better leaving with some in my pocket. My credit union ATM card has a $500/day withdrawal limit. So do I just estimate the euro exchange rate and ask for about E350? Don't want to be messing around and make the machine mad and eat the card with too many attempted transactions!

I DIDN'T lose 18# but congratulate those of you who did! I have 2 weeks left so anything's possible right?

I just made copies of the passports and opened a suitcase to begin the packing and repacking phase. It's hard to believe it's so close.

We all worked so hard and did the best we could planning all this. Thanks to all of you for the good advice! Now we just try to go with the flow!

Hey all, I just started a thread under "Trip Reports" for us to post our trip reports from this cruise to the rest of the world.... that way we do not have 10 different threads running under different names... LOL... Once we get on board, I'll change it over to a "LIVE" thread...:cool1:
