Ok, I just updated page 1!
Is anyone interested in trying to think up a unique group name?? If we get a few ideas then we can take a vote.
well - it is the Magic's first sailing out of the "big apple"....so along those lines I guess.
New York to Nassau - the Magic's Inaugural voyage from the Big Apple
any other ideas?
Hi everyone! Mike and I are back from our Princess cruise. It was lovely sailing out of NYC! So many times I hear people complain about rough seas out of New York, but this is our 2nd cruise out of there and no complaints.
While Princess wasn't our favorite cruise line, it was a good cruise. Princess definitely could learn from Disney: your pool towels are in the room, not at the pool or gangway so you have to remember to take your towels with you everywhere. Disembarkation sucked: you must vacate your room by 8am and then go wait in a lounge for your number to be called. Boo. You can't mix and match buckets of beer like you can on Disney. Disney doesn't care if you mix up Coors Lite and Miller Lite in a bucket. And they will keep track and say, "you're on a bucket; next beer is free!" On Princess, all beers must be the same and you must order your bucket in advance. Boo again. All pretty small things that didn't ruin our cruise, but we couldn't help notice Disney was better (or at least better suited to our preferences).
It was a great itinerary though -- Bermuda, Grand Turks! So wish Disney would consider including those ports on some of their cruises. And one thing Disney could learn from Princess (shhh!): Princess had GREAT pizza! Pizza on Disney is a bit sucky, no?
Well, less than a year now, and we'll be on the Magic!

Ok...so one can only do a poll as a new thread, since I think we should keep this 'in the family' as it were...here are my questions!
1. How many days before embarkation should the FE list be closed?
a. 30days
b. 60days
c. 90days
2. Should the FE be broken into small groups?
If you answered yes to #2 then how many cabins/people should each group contain?
3. If you answered NO to #2, what would your thoughts be on two larger groups, if the number of people gets to be very large? (this comes from the Dream Maiden and the Hawaii cruise in 2012 - both FE lists were/are well over 100 cabins)
Hi everyone. I am sorry to say that Mike and I are moving this cruise. We decided we wanted to do a B2B with a 5 night Canada, and that just wasn't possible with this cruise. So we are moving to the 8/25 cruise followed by the 9/2 Canada.; 13 glorious days on the Magic.
Of course I will be stalking your cruise and wishing you well in what we've deemed the "guinea pig cruise!". And there will be one less Jodie to keep track of! Happy sailing!
