May 23, 2011 - The UNOFFICIAL "The Bachelorette" - NO SPOILERS, please!

Anybody heard the back story on JP? They keep referring to his heart being broken and all he's been through, but I have never heard any more than that...maybe that's all we are going to know.

I tried to google it - SPOILER ALERT - but didn't really find anything.:confused3

Finally got to watch it... kinda sorry I did now. :sad2:

She is really transparent. She just wants to know if he's going to dump her too. She is the most insecure Bachelorette ever.

Insecure? Probably. Lame? Definitely!

The guys should have asked each other, "Do you want to still be here?" :hyper2: :rotfl:

I see the perfect ending to this show being a reverse Brad. Both guys say they're not interested in Ashley at the final rose ceremony.
Ashley: "Oh I love Ben and will pick him!"
Ben: "Sorry Ashley, I'm not into you so I'm leaving." (and there was great rejoicing)
Ashley (after crying for a while): "Well, now that I think of it, I really wanted JP so it's all good! I love JP and will pick him!"
JP: "Sorry Ashley, I'm not into you so I'm leaving." (again there was great rejoicing)

i thought they were normally a week apart. i didn't think about Bachelor Pad though. i just thought maybe they knew this season was terrible and were trying to end the misery more quickly.

No kidding! Pull the bandaid off quick! Maybe it won't hurt so much. Oops, too late!

Oh, and did anyone else see the really bad acting she did with Ryan when he came to her room? I think she was tipped off ahead of time.

I read it more as, "Oh great, I booted this guy once and now I've got to do it all over again?" :headache:

After the show, does anyone else feel like they need a shower or something? :crazy2:

:lmao::rotfl2::worship: STOP STOP YOU'RE KILLING ME!!!!

Shower? I need a sound BUTT whipping for spending minutes of my life on this nightmare. I finally watched the "after Prez" part last night and was more :rolleyes1 than ever.

The promo for the Men Tell All was surprising. I FORGOT about all the guys because this season seemed 10 years long!!! Who remembers the drunk guy? :happytv:

I remember seeing the group and thinking WOW, what a good looking bunch of fellas to choose from! Of course a woman with her kind of insecurities would NEVER pick a winner, she needs someone to worship HER.

The sister shows us more about who she is. I'm willing to bet she's been brow beaten all her life by Ms. Tattoo, no wonder she's so unsure of herself.

As for Ben and JP, she could've gotten guys like that at the neighborhood coffee shop or library. I wish we didn't have to be dragged thru it, it was pitiful to watch. :sad2:

::yes:: :thumbsup2

Yes, and he was upset when she referred to both Ben and him as her "relationships." She is so clueless, she doesn't even notice his responses.

I actually think it's the other way around. With Ben, she has less uncomfortability with him. With J.P., he is her fantasy guy, but she keeps hammering him EVERY time they are together, as to how he can be sure he would stay with her. This is exactly how it will be if they are together. Every day wondering what he was doing and with whom and if/when he will leave. She will need CONSTANT reassurance from him all the time.

She also doesn't look into his eyes much when she's talking to him. She's either looking down or eating, or in the case of Bentley, using J.P. as her comfort cushion. She's still testing J.P. in a lot of ways. "Will you be there for me if I do this. . .?" "Will you be there for me when I tell you about Bentley? . . . When I tell you how Ryan was here?"

Have you notice the way she just blurts it out, very thoughtlessly, NOT in any way that is sensitive to how J.P. would feel hearing the news? All her uncomfortability is in how comfortable SHE feels at having to tell him. She is NEVER looking in his eyes to register how his eyes change. :sad2:

J.P. is so readable, but Ashley is not registering any of it. :sad2: Whether she picks him or not, she is so wrong for HIM. :sad2: She is too emotionally immature, insecure and self-involved. The process of the show always makes the Bachelor(ette) even more self-involved & narcissistic by the end of the show.

And even though J.P. said he's not there for the competition, to beat the other guy - he is. It's down to the final two, and he wants to know if she will pick him. But, I think he already knows, nothing would last between them. He's already received too many red flags as to how she is. How she wouldn't be there for him.

I still thinks it's a toss up as to which one she will pick. She wants J.P. to be the one. But, her insecurities may get in the way. She may not think he will last, when, just as she did with Brad on their overnite date, she will do something to sabotage their relationship. She might, in that pea bran of hers, know that SHE doesn't have what it takes to make a relationship last between them.

With Ben, she doesn't have that. He just opened up to her, saying finally, he is open enough to really commit to someone & have a relationship. That's very appealing to her. It fills her insecurities. Ben actually has more of what it takes to last with her. He's more open & available to her. Whereas, J.P. is still guarded and she KNOWS it. That's one of the reasons she keeps hammering away at him, asking how he KNOWS he will stay. He doesn't know it. Not when she keeps blurping things like, "I preferred Bentley over you." If she wants more of a sure thing, she's better off picking Ben.

Although, I don't think either relationship will last.

on the flip side, maybe she is insecure with JP because she really likes him. and she isn't that into Ben, so she's more relaxed around him.

but i agree that she is completely terrible at reading people. good grief, she though Bentley was into her--he couldn't even LOOK at her!

I've been on a self-imposed Bachelorette hiatus. Was this week the "test drive" overnight date week? Or is that next week?

I've been on a self-imposed Bachelorette hiatus. Was this week the "test drive" overnight date week? Or is that next week?

It was this week and thanks be to God that one man refused to spend the night with her and left. To watch one young woman sleep with three different men in three nights...great tv for our daughters, eh? Glad she had a night to rest between all nighters. :sad2: I've always hated that part of this show...wether they actually sleep together or not, it's pure sleaze.

I thought for sure the tabloids would have unearthed the mystery woman by now and we'd have seen her all over the media telling her side of the story. Could it be that the mystery woman actually has class and wanted to remain private??
I've been on a self-imposed Bachelorette hiatus. Was this week the "test drive" overnight date week? Or is that next week?

Yes, it was this past week. She only test-drove two though, Ben and J.P. :rotfl:

I was wondering if she chooses JP, how she will explain this to him. She did mention "overnights" in a casual way to him at dinner. I didn't really see him react, except his eyes kind of changed.

I think she'll be in hot water with JP. Heck, he couldn't handle that wedding dress up date they had with Ames and Lucas. I highly doubt he'll be ok with her spending the night with Ben...:rolleyes1

What I see is that she is very passionate and comfortable with JP, and with Ben she is still a little guarded, it seems. Even what she wore with JP in the Fantasy Suite was "come and get me" instead of let's play in the pool.

I agree. Though with JP's date, she prefaced it by saying (since Constantine had just left) that she was going to give it her all. So maybe that had something to do with it? Like she was purposely trying harder maybe?

I still don't see how she can sleep with 2 people on two nights in a row

Yup, she's one classy lady. ;)

Oh, and did anyone else see the really bad acting she did with Ryan when he came to her room? I think she was tipped off ahead of time.

 That was the quietiest we've seen her all season! What a pleasant surprise! Thanks Ryan! :thumbsup2

Not only are the bachelors relieved, their families are relieved! I'll bet Ames' family were singing the Hallelujah chorus when they watched the night he was sent home. Whew!

Yes, and he was upset when she referred to both Ben and him as her "relationships." She is so clueless, she doesn't even notice his responses.

Completely clueless. And JP's face is like an open book, much more so than Ben actually. And STILL she badgers him with her insecure questions!

Good point. She always talks about JP's physical characteristics (he's so hot, blah blah blah) whereas with Ben, it's about his character (he's so open, so kind, so easy to talk to).

Good grief, if she's not averting her eyes or stuffing her face, she's chewing the inside of cheek or lips!

I never thought of it that way, testing JP. Very possible though since she seems to choose him when she wants to unload her fears. I did think she was a bit smug with him when she said she sent two guys home! Poor JP, he probably thought that meant HE was the last one.

:sad2:

She's very self-absorbed when she's talking about things with him.

J.P. is so readable, but Ashley is not registering any of it. :sad2: Whether she picks him or not, she is so wrong for HIM. :sad2: She is too emotionally immature, insecure and self-involved. The process of the show always makes the Bachelor(ette) even more self-involved & narcissistic by the end of the show.

Oh, I completely agree! JP is an open book, his emotions flit across his face so easily. Yet Ashley is totally unaware. The only Bachelorette I truly enjoyed watching was Ali from last summer. She didn't exude that narcissistic air that most of them do.

I'm still thinking Ben is the one to beat. Of the two, JP is the better looking one IMO. That alone will cause her problems since she's already so insecure. Like you said earlier, she'll be questioning him all the time. That would be exhausting to anyone!

I agree. JP is very guarded, so was his mother actually! Ben is the sure thing for her. He's ready to invest in a relationship.

Although, I don't think either relationship will last.

But all the Bachelors/Bachelorettes stay together and get married! ;)

Finally got to watch it... kinda sorry I did now. :sad2:

Yup, two hours of your life you won't get back!

Insecure? Probably. Lame? Definitely!

Yes and yes. :thumbsup2

I see the perfect ending to this show being a reverse Brad. Both guys say they're not interested in Ashley at the final rose ceremony.

Now THAT would be worth watching! It would almost (almost) make up for the hours I've spent struggling to maintain interest this season!

:rotfl: While this is hilarious, it just might be possible! She's so wishy-washy.

No kidding! Pull the bandaid off quick! Maybe it won't hurt so much. Oops, too late!

It's pretty weird that they're doing it this way but yes, it will put us all out of our misery sooner. :lmao:

I read it more as, "Oh great, I booted this guy once and now I've got to do it all over again?" :headache:

If she had any respect for JP and Ben, she'd have sent Ryan home immediately.

After the show, does anyone else feel like they need a shower or something? :crazy2:

Or bleach my eyeballs.

I've been on a self-imposed Bachelorette hiatus. Was this week the "test drive" overnight date week? Or is that next week?

Test drive? Ugh, so nasty that she's trying out the merchandise, particularly back to back like that too. Maybe she was put out that Constantine wouldn't you know, put out?

It was this week and thanks be to God that one man refused to spend the night with her and left. I don't care for it either. It's nasty and she's known them for what, six weeks or something? Nice. I'm sure her parents are so proud. :sad2:

:lmao::rotfl2::worship: STOP STOP YOU'RE KILLING ME!!!!

Is Ashley the youngest sister? I can't remember. Her self centered - "look at ME!" and cry-baby attitude makes me think she was the baby girl in the family and everyone moved heaven and earth to make life perfect - and then she went to dental school so she's even more special. I'll be the tattooed one is jealous :rolleyes1
(not spoken like an older sister or anything :rotfl2:)

I'm just big into the birth order thing, so I'm always looking for that...

Yeah, I hate it too. It's cringe-worthy. "I think I want to be with you, but I'll need a roll in the sheets to be 100% sure."

I can't remember what season, but there was one overnight date where we were treated to footage of them in the jacuzzi tub, making out. They could have had swimsuits on, but I'm not betting the farm on that one.

If you want to belly laugh, read the Bachelorette blog on Entertainment Weekly. She's HILARIOUS!!

Here's a snipet I copied re Constantine & the overnight dates:

Eventually, though, Constantine gives what may be the most honest, intelligent, grounded speech in the history of this ridiculous franchise. "I would want ideally for me to be madly, head-over-heels, 100 percent sure, ready to meet your father and say, 'I want to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage,' and say that with 110 percent confidence," he begins. "And I have too much respect for you, for myself, for my family, and ultimately your family also, to do anything but that. I'm sitting here now, like, thinking, I don't have that yet... This fantasy suite, I know what it means -- and I also know what it implies. And I knew if I got to this point and I wasn't in love with you, I wouldn't accept the fantasy suite... I'm not pretending, and I haven't pretended to begin with, and I don't want to start doing that now." OH MY GOD YOU GUYS HE TURNED DOWN THE FANTASY SUITE OUT OF RESPECT FOR THE BACHELORETTE! MY MIND IS OFFICIALLY BLOWN!! CONSTANTINE FOR THE NEXT BACHELOR!!

I'm big on birth order, too. I even consider my hiring based on it!

I'm that youngest baby girl in my family and had a sister like tattoo girl..:rolleyes1 .. yikes, what a mess. I survived because my parents were so awesome and gave me the security I carry to this day. I wonder about Ashley's upbringing.. there are issues no doubt.

They are alarmingly similar, for sure!

That gals blog is funny, though - she's saying much the same as we do here.

I dunno... something tells me he turned down the Fantasy suite for OTHER reasons .... :rolleyes1

Well, J.P. did say to Ashley that he missed signs along the way that they weren't right for each other and that they wanted different things out of a relationship. I got the idea that she might have cheated on him, or just dumped him.

I, for one, am glad that he (& she) kept their past lives private & personal. Just because someone is on TV doesn't mean others have a right to all info about them. We don't know about the other guys pasts, the ones who left early. just because J.P. stayed longer doesn't mean the public should be privvy to his privates - err, private past.

I think it's classy that both J.P. & his ex have kept things private.

I see the perfect ending to this show being a reverse Brad. Both guys say they're not interested in Ashley at the final rose ceremony.

:rotfl2:

Actually there WILL be a lot of rejoicing on OUR parts if they both do this!!! :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cool1: :worship:

I can hear Chris now: "The Bachelorette ending you've all been hoping for!" :rotfl:

The promo for the Men Tell All was surprising. I FORGOT about all the guys because this season seemed 10 years long!!! Who remembers the drunk guy? :happytv:

I think the Men Tell All episode will be the most exciting of the whole season. Too bad they will probably be diplomatic & not say what they REALLY think & feel.

Wouldn't it be funny if when Chris asks Mickey does he regret not staying that Mickey does this -> :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

As for Ben and JP, she could've gotten guys like that at the neighborhood coffee shop or library.

Yes, but after an hour with her, THEY would have gotten up & left. :p

J.P.would NOT have stayed through hearing "I had coffee with Bentley yesterday because I liked him more. But, I'm fine now, so I'm here with you." :sad2:

i just want to say that i am the baby girl in the family. and i am the one who is much more self-assured, secure and strong-willed than my older sister. :lmao:
