May 23, 2011 - The UNOFFICIAL "The Bachelorette" - NO SPOILERS, please!

I had to stop watching. She is an idiot. She isn't ready for a relationship if she has a meltdown over a cheesey jerk that dumped her. She need to just tattoo "I heart Bently" across her forehead and get it over with. Then she can go back to the states and stalk him until he gets a restraining order or his own reality TV show, whichever comes first.

:thumbsup2:rotfl:

aMEN!! :worship::worship:

If all of this is ABC derived and fake she should sue for defamation of character. Seriously, with all the editing they do you'd think she'd come off better UNLESS that's what they're TRYING to depict.

It was obvious they were trying to make it the adversary/victim scenario... but it came off as bad guy/dumb girl. This is not relatable, this is insulting. :sad2:

notice how perfectly Ashley was framed by the lights as Mickey sailed away?

Oh and someone else already said it (sorry, forgot to quote) but could Ames be any more awkward? I think I would have been scared in the elevator!:scared1: And what happened to his clothes for the Rose Ceremony? I think he borrowed a jacket from a Chinese guy and a pair of white pants from another one. The jacket was too small and short, the pants were too big and too short and had static cling - someone should have helped him.:sad2:

I noticed that, too... BOY he looked ultra doofus at the rose ceremony. :guilty:

And that KISS??? :scared:

I think it should be Bently. That would be poetic justice.:lmao:

Ashley is chowing down while JP is pouring out his heart?? Nice. Did she not eat all day or something?
I noticed that too.

Talk about baaaaad acting, right? It was painful to watch. Bentley is all "maybe we should end it here and put a period." What is his fixation with punctuation anyway??

My respect for Mickey went up when he left on his own. I'm sure he's watching it now and thinking THANK GOD!

Ya, the twins can go especially with Ben's awkward kiss! It was very forced and uncomfortable looking.

Ames was acting really strange in the elevator. Was he drunk or something? It looked like two mannequins kissing!

JP is much too good for her. Run away JP, run away!

That's exactly what I thought! He looked completely wasted. He could hardly stand up straight and he had a goofy smile on his face.

Something wasn't quite right with the whole Bentley exchange. I don't know if was the editing, or like a previous poster said, maybe the producers gave her a heads up. All I know is that if I was so madly in love with someone that I couldn't see straight I would not be over it in mere seconds. If she truly loved the "B" word (can't stand to even type his name), she would be devastated after he dumped her. She would not be like "Ok, he's a jerk--on to the next guy".

The whole thing was SO middle school. I don't even think she knows what real grown-up love is. I accidentally found out who she picks by reading some blogs  and I can tell you, it will not last.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the previews of the final rose ceremony. They make it looks like she is dumped and ends up with no one. I think she has cried more than anyone else on the show, with the possible exception of Jake. His balcony crying scene was Oscar-worthy.

I can hear Chris: "Stay tuned for the WORST Bachelorette ever!" :scared1:

I think even the producers are flabergasted over this season. Nothing like tanking the show. Who wants to date the next Bachelorette after this? :scared:

I so totally agree with this!!!! Any bets on who the next Bachelor will be?;)

It would be nice if they give Mickey a chance. To make up for wasting his time on this show.

Did everyone see, when he said, "Send me home," Ashley looked insulted. Like the thought never occurred to her that when you tell a man he came in second, he might want to leave?

Juvenile, Ashley is very juvenile. :sad2:

Honey, they ALL want to leave. If this had been real life, the whole terrace would have emptied out & followed Mickey.

That's exactly what I thought! He looked completely wasted. He could hardly stand up straight and he had a goofy smile on his face.

Ames looked like he was still punch drunk from the last episode.

Maybe he threw up on himself, and that's why they changed his clothing. He was just told that she was falling for someone else, and he got his head bashed in and stayed for nothing. :sad2:

I also think the guys were offered more money to stay. They probably also renegotiated to be able to see more of Taiwan while Ashley is on her one on one dates.

Does any guy really want to be with her anymore? :confused3

J.P. has been very subdued since she told him about Bentley. HE was the one who consoled her that night after Bentley left. he knows more than anyone, she is just not into anyone else.

The previews even show him saying he has doubts about if he can say he would propose to her.

He might leave early so HE could be the next Bachelor. :thumbsup2

The producers couldn't pick Emily since she was the chosen one & was still hashing out crap with Brad.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the previews of the final rose ceremony. They make it looks like she is dumped and ends up with no one. I think she has cried more than anyone else on the show,

I thought it looked like she finally realized she needs therapy & just really isn't ready for any kind of relationship with anyone. This could be the female version of Brad picking no one.

The previews didn't show a lot of J.P. with her on dates. Just the one shot of him questioning if he's into her. Although, I think the guy in the dark suit is him. He has J.P.'s slim physique.

Am I the only one that really likes Blake? I think he is so cute and seems like a nice guy. Maybe he could be the next bachelor. Or Mickey I really like him too, but it was obvious he & Ashley didn't have much of a connection. I think that Ashleys only hope at this point is JP he is a sweet guy. When he watches this back, I think he will feel silly for pining after her while she obsesses over Bentley.

LOL!! You crack me UP!!!! :rotfl2:

Heck I'd WATCH a season of Mickey... oh yes I would!!

Then you'll LOVE this! He and "prince William" are going to be on the Bachelor Pad.

They couldn't get Mickey??? :sad1:

THIS IS THE MOST TEARFUL BACHELORETTE EVER!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

At least she should try to make it look real. She is like a spoiled brat who cries her way out of everything. I don't think most of the boys feel taken in by it - did you see all the jaw clenching?

:rotfl2:

Maybe that's what they want - a way to end the show for good.

I like Blake - I think he is too mature and too professional for this show - I don't know why he agreed to it in the first place.

Maybe Mickey will be the Bachelor!

I think they should have two Bachelors dating the same 25 girls - Mickey and JP are both very different - It would be interesting to see what happens. Oh, I guess that would kind of be like Jr. Hi. :lmao:

I like to watch this just to see what they will do next - like a rubber necker at an accident - for shame. :sad2:

Hi all. I didn't even watch last night, just read your recaps on here instead.
Ames: his jacket was too small/short the night he got out of the Limo too-he needs a tailor, not an Ashley
JP: Man oh man :lovestruc he is the total package, which actually bums me out...because while I/we liked him to win from the start...that was BEFORE seeing Insecure Ashley in action. JP is way too awesome to be anchored down by her..RUN, J.P., RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mickey: DANG! He left? well, there goes 1/2 the reason of watching.:worship: to him tho, for getting the heck outta dodge.
Guess I missed the Return of Bentley....that's ok, 20 minutes of my life I don't have to get back. I said it before and I'll say it again...it's his kid I feel bad for..him using her like that as an excuse. Stuff like that can really hit a kid if they find out about it. Hopefully she's not the insecure Bachelorette of season 30.

Yeah, I didn't watch either. I'm letting you guys watch for me. 1. To pay Bently to fly back to see Ashley after all the times he mocked her really made me PO'd at the producers of the show. They are HORRIBLE! 2. Ashley is a nut case. She has an inflated sense of her own worth and those guys should all go home. Pity the guy she ends up choosing.

If he's always that kind of jerk, his daughter will figure him out pretty quickly and it will just be part of a long list of things in her life.:sad2:

Here's some interesting reading, Chris Harrison shared his thoughts in an interview below:

http://www.tvguide.com/News/Bachelorette-Chris-Harrison-1034684.aspx

This week's episode finally felt like a true Bachelorette episode!
Chris Harrison: The show's starting over again, it's like we hit the reset button last night. It's the new and improved Ashley, who's feeling good. I know it was a battle [for viewers] — we were battling as producers, too, to get to this point. We would've wrapped it up with Bentley two weeks ago, but we had to let this play out in her own time. Now it gets good.

Was Ashley's conversation with Bentley much calmer than you expected?
Harrison: I think people were making so much more out of it before it even happened so that's why I kept telling people wait to see how it plays out. It wasn't as nearly a big of a deal and, in fact, it was more about her making sure she was ready to move on.

She also seemed much less into him than she was the first time around.
Harrison: I think she was really happy that, when she saw him, she felt so beyond this guy. It reassured her that what she was feeling for these other guys was true.

Were you surprised about which guys were OK with Bentley returning and which guys were furious?
Harrison: I think you can draw a line and see which guys are more comfortable in their own skin, are more confident with Ashley and probably have a better relationship right now with Ashley. I also think the guys fed off of each other and got each other fired up. I think J.P. had the perspective, but her talk with him and his reaction really gave her this false sense of confidence that she came strolling into the cocktail party feeling like, "I can just tell the guys and they'll be as happy as I am." That was a miscalculation on her part. As much as some the guys blew it out of proportion and didn't handle it well, she didn't articulate it well and was a little cocky in the way she talked to them.

Did you think someone would leave like Mickey did?
Harrison: I don't think he meant to leave. He almost talked himself into a corner and all of a sudden he was like, "Well I'm going to leave." I ... don't think he went into that conversation wanting to leave or thinking he was going to leave. I think he was just trying to make a point.

What did you think about Ames kissing Ashley in the elevator?
Harrison: I think Ashley spoke for all of us when she was like, "Ames, whoa!" I'm so glad people are falling in love with Ames because he's a great guy. I knew he'd be one of the dark horses that at first people would wonder why she's keeping him, but I knew in the end he would definitely capture people's imagination.

The next episode, airing July 11, features an update with Emily Maynard. What can you hint?
Harrison: We're calling them Bachelor updates, catching up with some of the couples. The first is Brad and Emily, and we've actually shot another with Ali and Roberto. If anybody is expecting "Jake and Vienna 2" then they're sorely mistaken. Emily and Brad very much love each other, very much care about each other and they're very good people and that definitely comes through. I talk to Brad all the time so I sit down [with Emily] and say, "This sucks doing this interview with one person and we're talking about a friend." As far as interviews go, even including Jason/Molly/Melissa this was the most awkward and uncomfortable because Brad wasn't there.

I think my favorite part was where Chris said Ashley strolled in all cocky to tell the guys about Bentley!

I couldn't watch last night because we had tornado warnings in our area and the weather/news interrupted. I came here to catch up on what happenend...:) I can't believe I missed Mickey leaving...:goodvibes
I just can't stand Ashley anymore.

But I just love JP :lovestruc

So are Brad and Emily still together? I thought that was over a long time ago???

That's what I thought too and judging by the wording above, it seems like Chris ONLY did an interview with Emily, not Brad. I think that means they're not engaged but I could be wrong. Though if they were truly engaged, why wouldn't they appear together (like Ali & Roberto are doing)? :confused3 My guess is that the plan was for them to do separate interviews but Brad was too angry so Emily is the only one doing it. I think he has some serious issues.
