Bentley: "Tell me everything. Tell me what I missed. . . Like, umm, I can tell you I've been WORKING. . . uh, yea, that's about it."
Not: "Oh, as soon as I got home, I couldn't wait to see my daughter. I missed her so much. I scooped her up," etc.
This is from the guy who left because he missed his
daughter. But he doesn't bring her up.
Ashley has to ask.
Then he's like, "(Oh yeah, her.) She's alright."
Their body language when they first sat down across from each other is NOT like two people who have been pining away for each other - even not Ashley's body language.
IF she even really felt anything real for him at all, what occurred to me earlier was how when you tell
some women that that guy is a married man, they want him even MORE. It is the fact that he IS unavailable that draws him.
Michelle Money saying he would be there for the wrong reasons was the equivalent as saying: "He's a married man. He
will reject you in the end."
Many women DO fall in love with the married man. Painstakingly so. Not just have casual affairs. That knowing that the man will leave in the end is easier for some women to bear, than the
unknown of waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Ashley keeps saying she's worried the guys don't really want her. It's easier to pick the sure thing out of 25 guys, the one she KNOWS
will reject her and put all her love into him. She's
guaranteed heartbreak, which is what she fears anyway.
However, that being said, she caught on to him really quickly.
Too quickly. Unless the producers edited a BIG part out, or as 3prettyprincesses said below, they showed her the Bentley tapes:
I have a feeling the producers or someone gave her a sneak peek at some footage...
OR that she's been in on this all along, which is what many of us suspected all along, she processed through all her emotions from heartbreak, to anger & betrayal, to understanding

to acceptance, really, really quickly.
My guess is the last. This was a BADLY scripted (and ACTED,

"Most unexpected Bachelorette ever," season with this badly inserted Bentley storyline.
Still watching. . .
