May 23, 2011 - The UNOFFICIAL "The Bachelorette" - NO SPOILERS, please!

Am I the only one that really likes Blake? I think he is so cute and seems like a nice guy. Maybe he could be the next bachelor. Or Mickey I really like him too, but it was obvious he & Ashley didn't have much of a connection. I think that Ashleys only hope at this point is JP he is a sweet guy. When he watches this back, I think he will feel silly for pining after her while she obsesses over Bentley.

But...but...the guys are so lucky to have her! I mean she gave up Bentley for them! What more do they want!?!

How on earth she thought she'd waltz in there and basically say, "well I had zero interest in any of you until Bentley finally dumped me but now, lucky for all of you, I'm forced to pick one of you instead of him!" What an idiot. She is light years away from being stable enough to be in a mature, committed relationship.

So Ali And Roberto are together. I want to watch a whole season of yummy Roberto!

Seems like JP really cares for her. He seems to calm her down, too, hope that lasts.

Then you'll LOVE this! Blake and "prince William" are going to be on the Bachelor Pad.

They couldn't get Mickey??? :sad1:

http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/...e-julian-competing-on-bachelor-pad--12435.php

This is probably why Blake stayed on the show and allowed himself to get the boot an hour later than leaving with Mickey. They probably offered him a spot on Bachelor pad if he stayed. Whereas they wouldn't let him if he walked, like Mickey.

Of course, Mickey might not have wanted to do the other show anyway.

To pay Bently to fly back to see Ashley after all the times he mocked her really made me PO'd at the producers of the show. They are HORRIBLE!

I think this is also why the guys got so upset. It wasn't like Bentley drove down the highway to see Ashley. The producers PAID and arranged to fly him back out. They probably felt used in more ways than one. Not only had Ashley, who had been preaching about honesty, lied to them, the producers did too, and used them.

Here's some interesting reading, Chris Harrison shared his thoughts in an interview below:

Were you surprised about which guys were OK with Bentley returning and which guys were furious?

That was a miscalculation on her part. As much as some the guys blew it out of proportion and didn't handle it well, she didn't articulate it well and was a little cocky in the way she talked to them.

That's like the understatement of the year! She was self absorbed, didn't give a crap to thinking how the guys would feel. It was all ME, ME, ME and delivered with a real ARROGANCE. Then when they didn't react as she thought they would, she acted like a spoiled brat who didn't get her way and cried. :sad2:

That's what I thought too and judging by the wording above, it seems like Chris ONLY did an interview with Emily, not Brad. I think that means they're not engaged but I could be wrong. Though if they were truly engaged, why wouldn't they appear together (like Ali & Roberto are doing)? :confused3 My guess is that the plan was for them to do separate interviews but Brad was too angry so Emily is the only one doing it. I think he has some serious issues.

I think they are not together. I also think they wanted them to either appear together one last time to publicly address what their status is, or to have separate interviews. But, Brad - who had NO problem being the Bachelor twice, when things were going his way, didn't want to show up, even for a separate interview.

Seems like JP really cares for her. He seems to calm her down, too, hope that lasts.

But, she has absolutely nothing to offer him. :confused3 She's self absorbed, uses him to calm & comfort her. What does she give to him? How is she there for him? :confused3

Bumping. This was pushed back to page 10! I know we want the mention of Bentley to go away, but NOT without us discussing it first! :happytv: :crazy2: :hyper2: :chat: :ssst: :hyper2:

I was so happy to see last night's episode was a repeat since the show was pre-empted in my area the week before~

I'm disappointed they didn't keep airing the series as I was looking forward to reading this thread and getting new information today. The show is too long for me to watch but you guys are wonderful at imparting the news! Oh well, next week.:surfweb:

Emily is on the new People so of course I had to buy it. Her and Brad aren't together. They love each other but can't make it work apparently. Gee I'm stunned.

I am more stunned by the, "They love each other." :lmao:

Is Brad really capable of loving anybody? I think Emily was more of a highly prized possession that he wanted moved close by to him. Only she wouldn't cooperate with his timeline or uproot her daughter for a situation that didn't turn out to be stable after all. :p

I hope, if nothing else, that this relationship with Brad took Emily's relationship with her former love, who died, off the pedestal she had put him on all this time and brought her back to the real world of the living. She had been kind of emotionally stunted there.

I know - I really missed rehashing everything here with everyone today.

I'll have to look that one up for sure!

I agree that this experience will help Emily move forward. I think Brad is just a spoiled brat who wants what he can't have and then when he gets it, he doesn't want it anymore. Emily wouldn't sleep with him, so he thought that's what he had to have - then when they had to build a real relationship, he wasn't up for it.

Agreed. Brad was one odd dude, wasn't he? I mean really, if you need your therapist to follow you around on the show then you probably need to work more on yourself than jump into a relationship. I think Emily was his 100% ideal woman but too many factors stood in the way...her ex fiance and his anger issues. Not such a good mix.

I know - I really missed rehashing everything here with everyone today.

Me too! I was out of town for the holidays and hopped online last night and nothing was here! Then I remembered it was only a rerun of insecure Ashley so I didn't miss anything!

I believe it has...apparently she's going to be the next bachelorette!

Brad has some serious issues to hash out. There were times where he'd blink rapidly and it reminded me of those people you see who are trying to control their temper or are downright just crazy.

Seriously? You know Bentley will be first in line.

I really hope they pick someone else. Someone who already "won" the show should not get a shot at this. And then there is the fact she has a kid. I didn't like it when Jason was the Bachelor and I won't like it if she is the bachelorette. :sad2:

Why can't they wait until whatever Ashley reject ends up being the next bachelor and pick from one of the women HE dumps? Why are they in such a hurry to sign her up?

Oh Emily as the Bachelorette?? Did we see that coming? :rotfl2:

I know - Brad kept clenching his jaw all the time, too!

I guess the new theme is emotionally crippled people trying to build a normal relationship in 6 weeks? popcorn::

Ya, he really has a shot with Emily after his stellar performance with Ashley! ;)

I was hoping so too, I don't think Emily is going to be a good fit either, particularly with her little daughter too. I can't imagine being a single mom and going on tv of all places to find love. I agree about Jason, I didn't like when they showed his son either though I will say he actually married the girl at least! You know, after he dumped Melissa on national tv!

I have no idea why they're so eager to sign Emily either. Her personality is much more guarded, reserved and no-nonsense.

I wish they'd pick someone too from Ashley's season. She had a lot of good guys to choose from. Either Mickey or JP would be a good choice.

Oh Emily as the Bachelorette?? Did we see that coming? :rotfl2:

Shocker, right? ;)

I know - Brad kept clenching his jaw all the time, too!

He did! It was clear he was trying to paint a very different picture of himself rather than his true self, wasn't it? I remember one episode where he was upset when Emily asked him if he was ready to be a step-dad. He got up, walked away and then kept clenching his jaw while pacing! Hello, I'd have run the other way! He looked very unstable to me.

I guess the new theme is emotionally crippled people trying to build a normal relationship in 6 weeks? popcorn::

:rotfl2: Best line ever! I wish they'd make that a subtitle to the show...The Bachelor, emotionally crippled people trying to build a normal relationship in six weeks! Love it! And sadly, it's so very true.

:lmao:

I can hear Chris now, "The truest Bachelor season ever!"

Not set in stone obviously but...Emily did say in the article that she would not be the Bachelorette due to her daughter. She stuck her guns pretty well with Brad so I'd lean towards believing her.

I just hope whoever is next they are much more engaging and secure then Ashley! I like to laugh when I watch the show not cringe!

Oh yes, it's pure gold! :rotfl:

That's what I thought too till I saw her plastered all over People Magazine and then agreeing to do an interview with Chris for the show regarding Brad. So I'm thinking she might be singing a different tune now, which is disappointing if true. I'm sure we'll see when they do the after the final rose segment.

Ugh, what more can be said of Ashley that hasn't been already? It is the most cringe worthy Bachelorette ever! Completely agree with you. I've been laughing this season but not for the right reasons...:rolleyes1

Chris was just on GMA. It is definitely over between Brad & Emily. She's coming on to tell the world, ONCE, so she won't have to keep answering questions & talk about it over & over. She said people don't keep re-hashing their break ups over & over with everyone.

I also wonder if the show needs her to come on and take up some time, as Ashley as the Bachelorette is sinking faster than the Titanic. They probably don't have any decent footage left that anyone wants to see. :p

I'm curious about her interview with Chris tonight. It'll be interesting I think. I really hope she isn't planning to be the next Bachelorette, I'd like to think she had more class than that. Though imagine Bentley's excitement if she is...:rolleyes1

Ugh, goodness knows Ashley needs alllll the help she can get. Seriously, this has been the wackiest bachelorette ever IMO. I feel bad because I finally talked my mother-in-law into watching it for the first time too! What a disappointment. :sad2: Especially when last summer Ali was so fun to watch!
