MAY 2014 Car Rentals

Looking for May 21 till June 3 rd mco pick up. Or may 22 to June 3 rd with almo or national. Currently I am not looking for any rates. I have been frustrated with the prices. I will look again around 90 days

Last year I had a 4 day rental for $62 all inclusive through Dollar for May so I'm still holding out hope

Just booked a midsize through Dollar for $157+ ($220ish inclusive) for a week, 5/2-5/9. Still looking for cheaper obviously but it's better than I was seeing before.

Check the dollar website. Just got a sat to sat midsize for $120 for the week...includes taxes and all. Do not select a car on the first page....when it brings you to the 'select a car' page it will have ALL the cars.....then click on a tab in between the lists of cars that says "check city special".

Thanks for getting this today. You saved me $110 on my 10 day rental. Got Standard for $141 all in or Full size for $148.

Anyone know if Dollar has Standard cars at MCO?

I just reserved a full size car from Dollar for 8 nights for $133 (+$4.50 in Ebates)! Yeah. I more things checked off my list for our May trip.

I have rented from Dollar twice before and have always had good service.

the great thing about reserving through the actual car rental place (vs. Orbitz, Priceline, etc.) is that if you find a cheaper deal you can cancel and re-book with no penalty.

The dodge avenger is considered midsize...that is what we usually get. Standard is Mitsubishi gallant, full is Nissan Latina. All 3 are cheap right now for
Mco on their website right now.

Straight from the Dollar Site. Carrentals had $133 for smaller cars, so going straight to Dollar paid off. (Thrifty had the same prices on car rental.com)

My dates are the 12-19th..if i rent the car on sunday(which i cant do because i wont be there yet), its 147
if I get it on monday, its 250

Renting a car at MCO and wanting to drop it off near RPR where we will end our trip at the darkside... 1 week rental, I got $198 thru Alamo, and pretty much just have to drop it across the street at the four points Sheraton. I do wish I could find better tho.

Thank you, thank you. I was feeling sick at the prices I was getting today from Hertz, National, Alamo... Dollar is $500 less than what I was getting.

I just booked May 3-11, fullsize with Dollar for $133. This is the best rate by far. The closest I could get was $262 with National using the KLM code. We always use Alamo so hoping Dollar will be a good experience!

I should have thought to mention that if you haven't done so already, sign up for the free dollar express card. Once you get a member number, call and ask them if you can add that to your existing reservation. It will save you a lot of time when the regular dollar line is long.....you should be able to cross the driveway directly to their kiosk in the garage . We use dollar often but not without a couple of issues over the last 10 years or so. Since I am the driver, hubby goes to wait for luggage and I go get the car paperwork and keys. Just make sure you know where to meet up as cell phone service is pretty poor in the garage.

Glad some of you were able to score a good rate. Don't know why someone was getting a higher rate...maybe because it is a weekly savings rate?

Let me clarify... What I mean is at Alamo at MCO it allows you to rent a Standard car. However, they don't have Standard cars at MCO so they have to upgrade you to Full Size. Just wondering if Dollar is the same.
