Dollar just quoted April 26th-May 3rd at $61.50. Grand total of $110!

Wish I could do dollar, but I am limited because we are picking up at MCO and dropping off by universal... Alamo is right across the street, but there aren't many good rates for pick up one place and drop off another...

Are you using any codes for Thrifty or Dollar? I just tried for 5/3 through 5/10 and am still getting rates over $220 once tax and fees are included even with the city specials. Looking for something better than the $218 I am getting from National with the KLM code.

My stay is May 1-7 and used only the city special. I use carrentalsavers.com to compare the prices and usually I then go to the actually site to book or book right on carrentalsavers.com

Maybe yours will drop in a couple of days as ours is sooner then yours and we do have have a shorter stay then you so that could be the difference.

The cheapest rate I have gotten so far is through Costco (Alamo) $242 for 5/3 - 5/13. I am going to keep checking. Last year I was able to get a car for $147 for the same number of days (5/4-5/14) through Costco. I would love to get something below $200 this year.

Just rented five days through Dollar for. Nissan Altima using the code kisse total $204.25 with taxes. It dropped by approximately $65.00.

I checked Costco again today and my price dropped another $16, so that is basically $100 this week on a premium size car. We need lots of space for luggage. Total price is $254 May 11-17, dropping off at Port Canaveral with Avis. There were cheaper cars in some of the other sizes.

I just booked a compact car from may 17 to may 21 for a little less than $80. I used carrentals.com and booked through budget. Had the same price for Thrifty. The Standard and full-size were only a few dollars more! After I factor in my 3% back from ebates, it will be a little less!

I just saved another $28 through Costco. I am now booked with Budget (compact car) for 5/3 - 5/13. Hopefully the prices will keep dropping. I would really like to find something for under $200.

Just changed reservations(again). Booked at Thrifty May 1-7 for $105(total). This is perfect price.

Checked Dollar for our May trip and snagged a rate of $60.75 ...$102.27 with all taxes/fees for Sunday, May 4th thru Friday May 9th. This is for an intermediate.

No code, just the city special rate.

Why are you looking for a compact? Especially if it is a higher rate. A lot of times the larger cars get better gas mileage anyway.
