May 2014 7 of 9 - I am a little short for a Stormtrooper..

$499 is outrageous, and it doesn't look like much you couldn't do on your own.

Cute shirt!

That price is crazy and I cannot see anything on the list of what is included that justifies this. Love the t shirt.

Corinna

It is crazy, but for people who don't want waits but do want guaranteed spots to the presentation it makes sense (at least for us).

You get in to Darth's Maul before everyone else gets let in
Continental Breakfast at the Hollywood Brown Derby
Then they take you to either Toy Story or RnRC
VIP reserved viewing spots for the parade
Lunch at Mama Melrose's
Guaranteed spots for 1:30 Stars of the Saga show
Ride on Star Tours
Guaranteed spots for 3:30 Show

***Nap time back at hotel****

8PM Dessert Party
Guaranteed VIP spots for the Symphony in the Stars Fireworks

We're used to ridiculous pricing from the D23 events, and other events that we attend at Disney.

Paula, did you ever get the pricing on the D-tech stuff? I believe the small figure is $99 and the large figure was like $1500.

Yes I can see how that would work for you guys! Enjoy! I haven't ordered the D-Tech stuff I am going to try and score the small one when I get there. It's so cute! I would like the storm trooper and also I love the name tags if you have seen those. You can't pre book those folks say you get them in the Darth Mall. So you could use your VIP package to be a step ahead if you wanted those!

I noticed that when I sign into MDE when you go to customise the MB it now shows up with the following entitlement

magicBand.entitlement.levelN.DVC_MEMBER ( )

I wonder what it means?

I read somewhere today that they are only tasting Fastpasses for the Frozen Meet and Greet at the moment. So this may be the reason why they are not available. Corinna
thanks for the tip didn't realise that! Will try nearer the time :-)

Don't get me wrong, I think the idea is a great one. But I think Disney is being very money hungry with this. $200-$300 would make more sense for what you're getting, IMHO.

Of course Disney is money hungry! What did we pay for the last Expo? $1500 for three days? I think Disney likes the price tag of an even $500 for a day of entertainment.

Word is that those VIP tour guides run $275 per hour in the parks with a six hour minimum. ::yes:: they are definitely money hungry!

oh my! I have always wanted to do one of those VIP tours of MK. It's on my bucket list!

If you come to DL, we might be able to work something out. :rolleyes1

That mine train ride looks great! If we can't FP+ it, Fran is going to get a GAC card. Hey we could go together, go to one GAC place, get a return time with your crip card for a party of 4 then go to another GAC place and get a party of four with Fran's crip card! :teacher:

We may have something here!

That sounds like a great deal.

That looks like such fun!!!!!! I saw some Avatar land videos on there too. That looks like it could be amazing!
Yes Avatar land looks fabulous. Can't wait for that one! When folks say to us 'whattttt going back to the same place year after year?'...they have no idea we csn hardly keep up with all the new attractions! Every year feels like a whole new vacation but with a bit of old time favourites in the mix. It's such a great combo. Spend our money somewhere other than DCL, DL or WDW? No thank you! But feel free to that's what I say!

I hear an interesting rumour that DVC is going to build a new EPCOT resort. That would be awesome. DW and I have grown to love the F & W after following some posts from my Dis friends here and encouraging us to try it! Getting into the EPCOT resorts during these times can be difficult. We might be interested in that add on! But at the very least it's more rooms to go around!

This is a much better deal than we got as long as you are not necessarily interested in the Stars of the Saga presentations and the shopping. We are interested in both of those so I'm glad we took the other package. Especially because this is probably the only time I will ever get to eat a Mama Melrose's. Fran would never agree to book there, but since it's included we at least get to try it. I bet we would be in the same area for the parade and fireworks if you book it. I say go for it, then we can hook up!

Cool! But I have been thinking about it and my main enjoyment would be shopping, the parade and the presentations! I would enjoy the fireworks but I haven't made it out that late in years so that would be a waste. I would do better with the package you guys got but can't afford that this year. Look forward to your TR and if it's good maybe consider some other time.

I am happy with the HW & V character meal though really looking forward to that. I never thought Jo would want to do that so I was delighted when she booked it,

Mamma Melrose looks lovely :-)

Will have to line early for the parade! I will keep an eye out for you both :-)
