I will certainly do a TR after my trip. And I'll cry and whine the entire time. :lmao:

If you want to take my car for the oil to be changed, then by all means, the keys are yours. :thumbsup2 It will not be fun sitting there with DS. He's already going to drive me nuts with all the other running, let alone, sitting at the Jiffy Lube. :rotfl2: I guess he can play games on my phone or something to keep him entertained.

Mom snuck up here today, to rant, and she took off with the envelopes. Not sure how long it will take her to do them. She's also doing one for DD and DS to keep their money in.

And I know you wanna live in those bossy boots. :p It's okay. We're all family here! :grouphug:

You SO do not go nuts! I  your pics!!!!

Thanks for the kind words about the pics! And you are so not a slacker! I'm sure you have more accomplished than me. :lmao::rotfl2:

Steal away! It wasn't really mine to begin with. :rotfl: Thank you!!!! :goodvibes

This time next week ...

We will have woken up in our beds at CSR.
We will have eaten a light breakfast in the rooms.
We will have taken a bus to DHS to arrive near 9am (but hopefully no later than 10am).
We will have (hopefully) signed up both kids for JTA.
We will have had lunch at probably Studios or Backlot Express.
I will have devoured a massive cupcake from Starring Rolls.
I will have (hopefully) survived riding ToT. :scared1:
We will have enjoyed the new Star Tours at least once.
We will have seen the DHS parade for the first time.
We will have dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe.
We will kill time until Fantasmic! and hope for a seating in the first show.
I am confident that we will accomplish all of our Must-Do's for DHS and will have time to just enjoy the parks. The park is open until 1am.
We'll stay until we're done and then go back to the resort.
Since we have a free day schedule for the next day and will sleep in, we may take the 2nd showing of F! if we can't get into the first one.

Honestly, I'm just not sure what we will do to fill our time once we get everything done. It will be PM EMH, so I do expect a bit of a crowd that night. DH isn't into RnRC and ToT, so that will be a no-go.

Anyone have suggestions on killing time late in the evening? Most of the live shows have their last performance around "dinner time". :confused3

Today, DS had his Brigance test. He scored an 83.5/100. I was a little ... not-so-happy. He lost 10 points because he refused to count past 14. :sad2: He'd count to 14 and then just stop and say "that's all". :confused3 The other items he missed, he knew, but I could understand him missing them. (His picture of daddy didn't have a neck and hands, he couldn't draw a diamond - or a triangle sitting on top of a triangle he called it, he confused hips and waist, he couldn't print his last name.) He could count to 30 before he even started PK, so it was frustrating that he wouldn't show off his skills and was marked on it.

Anyway, the K teacher who screened him, she absolutely adored him. All she talked about was how adorable he was and how smart. She said that she could already tell that he was a quick learner. I told her that he learned his phone number on the drive over. It's less than a 5 minute drive from our place to the school. So in less than 5 minutes time, he learned his phone number (and not a temporary learn either). He can still state his phone number. :thumbsup2 She also stated that she had her fingers crossed that he was in her class next year. I know the teachers can request which students are in their class - but its not always granted. But odds are high, since I didn't request a teacher, that he will be in her class. I don't know what to think about his placement for next year. I will, however, stay on whatever teacher he has to make sure he will be challenged and not lose his love of school.

After his test, we walked down to his PK class and picked up his things (since we missed the "send off" day). We said goodbye and thank you to his teachers.

Afterwards, we swung by the bank for cash.

Then it was off to get the oil changed. While we were there, we had the transmission fluid flushed as well. They offered me half-off if I did it that day, plus I had a $7.00 off coupon, and he gave me another $5.00 off. So I saved soo much money today! :goodvibes

After the oil was changed, we went to the mall to renew my car tags. While there, we swung by SubWay (per DS's request) and picked up lunch. We brought it home to eat and watched some Sprout. After lunch, mom called and said my sister was visiting (the one who leaves over an hour away). So we walked down to mom's to visit with her and my neice Trinity. I asked what kind of souvenir Trin might like (she's 16 months old). After talking, I think I have a good idea on what to get for Trin. I already have a good clue as to what I'll get Liz. I'm going to get Trin some pretty bows for her hair and probably a lovey. For Liz, I'll get something Tangled. I don't know for sure what I'll get either girl, but its a start on what to look for. :goodvibes

Now its nearing time to fix dinner.

Tomorrow: House scrubbing. :headache:

Be sure to go and see the Walt Disney Story and go to the Animation Studios; we did the Studios for the first time and did the drawing class and we had a blast.

We plan to do the Animation Studios ... but is it open late? I figured it would close around "dinner time" like the other live shows. :confused3

I figured that most of the rides would be very crowded and I didn't want to go back to the resort and come back just for Fantasmic. :)

It should be open. We did that one year while waiting for F! because all the rides had long lines and all the shows were done for the day. I feel like you--unless you want to stand in long ride lines, there isn't much to do in between when a lot of the stuff is done for the day and F!

Maybe some souviner shopping while you wait too?

Don't forget to line up early for the show. We headed toward the F! area at 7:10 for the 9:30 show and the line was already down the street past the B & the B entrance. DH was NOT happy with me that night! Opps. :rolleyes1

:scratchin Hmm ....

We may not get to see F! this trip either. There's no way I can get DH and the two kiddos to stand in line for 2+ hours for a show.

I guess we'll head over to the line after our dinner ADR and see how it looks. I really think more than 45 minutes in a line will be DH's limit. The kids will be less, but hopefully we can entertain them with a game or something. :confused3 We may just head back to the resort after dinner. :sad1:

They have a show at 9 and 10:30. I don't think I can get DH and the kids to the 10:30 show, even though it will probably be less crowded. I guess we will play it by ear.

Thanks!

OH! Where's the TR? Did I miss it? Can't wait to hear about your trip! popcorn::

Yikes! I was considering if we would see F! But with that long I may not.
Happy dance, 5 days

2 hours for F!? No way! I guess we will be playing it by ear too, I know we will not wait longer than maybe 30 minutes for it. We were hoping to see the 9pm show on the night that we are going to be there for EMH that start at 10, that way we won't miss out on EMH but I guess we'll see.

Wow! 2 hours does seem a bit extreme. We did see it in '07. I remember checking out the line for the 1st show and it was crazy! The second show was a little more doable line-wise, but it was late and we were pooped by the time it was over. Fabulous show to see, though, if you have some patience and maybe some 5 Hour Energy in your pocket. :lmao:

Sounds like we're planning on seeing the same F!. :lmao: 23rd right?

Save us a spot if you get there first. :rotfl2:

DH says 5 Hour Energy is worthless. I can't take stuff like that. I have to avoid caffeine - and the caffeine ones don't really work. :rotfl:

Plus, we'll be wore out from touring all day, so we will be ready to head back to the hotel. :sad2:

Oh well .. if we don't catch it this year, maybe next. :thumbsup2

This time next week ...

We will have slept in.
We will be well rested.
We will have (hopefully) attended the pool opening ceremony.
We will be swimming all afternoon (weather permitting).
We will have lunch at Pepper Market.
After we are done swimming, we will explore CSR grounds.
After we are finished exploring CSR and relaxing, we will head to DTD.
We will enjoy window shopping, checking out the "make your own ears" store, and the new Lego store.
We will have dinner at Wolfgang Puck's. Mmmmm Creme Brulee....
After dinner, we will either continue perusing DTD or head back to the resort for more relaxation.
We will head to bed early for a good night's rest.

If weather does not cooperate for swimming, we will either spend the day at DTD or perhaps a park. If it is a park, it will probably be DHS or AK - depending on what all we got accomplished the day before at DHS. If we are happy with everything we did, we may go to AK. It will be more of a play-it-by-ear type of day. The only 100%'s are sleeping in and dinner at WGPs.

Today, I finished all the packing for the kids and myself. All that remains left to do packing wise is DH and toiletries. Most of the toiletries I can't pack until Saturday. Plus, Saturday, I need to make sure DD's nebulizer and medicines are in order. She'll get a treatment shortly before we leave that should last her until we arrive. If we pull over somewhere for breakfast, we'll ask for an outlet so she can do a treatment then. If not, hopefully we won't be too far, and I'm sure they will find a place for her to take a treatment if our room isn't ready. :thumbsup2

I think tomorrow, I will take DS to the doctor. He hasn't gotten better or worse, and its been almost a week. I think the breathing treatments are keeping him from getting worse, but I'd like to see improvement. So if no improvement by tomorrow AM, I think I'll just take him in to be checked. Tomorrow is DD's last day of school. Thursday AM I take her to pick up her report card and to say goodbye to her teacher.

When I was packing my suitcase, I was really shocked that I got everything to fit in one suitcase. Granted, my TENS unit isn't in it, but I can fit that in my bag. I've never managed that before! I think DH will be pleasantly surprised that I'm down to one suitcase instead of two! It will be much easier to carry things in to the room once we arrive. :yay:

I have many issues with Fantasmic!... we saw it in 2007 and I, personally, will be quite happy if I never see it again.

One, I didn't think it was that great of a show... certainly not one we waited over an hour for. Two, I didn't like the fact that there's just one way into the theater... meaning there's just one way out. I had a mild panic attack when we were leaving, trying to keep track of my DH and two DDs (who were only 4 and 6 at the time) amongst the massive crowd! :faint:

Yay on getting the packing done! And I must congratulate you on getting all your stuff into one suitcase! If you're like me, that was no easy task, LOL! We're going to the beach in a few weeks, and my mother-in-law is going with us. DH reminded me that means there won't be a whole lot of space in the car, since we'll have an extra person (and her luggage) with us! I tend to over pack, so I'm really going to have to try getting mine and DH's stuff into one suitcase!

I've never seen it, and I truly do want to experience everything at least once - just to say I've done that before. I agree, that its rough having only one point of entry ... and I don't look forward to the piling in and then out again ... but it is a show I haven't seen.

But if not this year, maybe we can snag a showing of it on an off-season trip. :teeth:

It was definitely not an easy task to get my belongings into one suitcase ... however, it is packed FULL... to the brim... and it just barely zipped. :lmao:

G'luck with your packing for the beach trip!!! :goodvibes I'd never be able to share a suitcase with someone else. Just not enough room. :rotfl2:

F! can be a claustrophics worse nightmare, and not a nightmare fantasmic!

When we go to see it, we arrive early. Bring plenty of things to do while we wait OR we take our chances for SRO. Twice we had a wonderful view on the 1st SRO step. We got there 15 minutes before it started and right there was the spot!

I don't like tight quarters. So we either head out of the show early, or we hang around in our seat long after the show ends.

Congrats on getting everything in 1 suitcase!

Sorry to hear your son is not getting any better. I hope the doc can give him something to help.

Yes, I imagine that it will be a nightmare ... but still wanna see it. :lmao:

We're really just going to play it by ear. I talked to DH about it and he doesn't want to wait in line for 2+ hours for a show. So we'll walk over there after dinner, see how the line looks, see what time it is, and then make a decision.

I'm claustrophobic myself, but I can handle it easier when DH and the kids are around. And we would probably linger after the show - its what we do at the movies anyway. :rotfl2:

Thanks for the grats. I'm not sure how I did it, and I keep feeling like I missed packing something important, but its all there. Even two pairs of shoes!!! So I guess we'll see. :rotfl:

I'm going to take DS to the pediatrician tomorrow. DH thinks he might have walking pneumonia. :( Since he's not shown signs of either way, I'd rather him be seen so that he can be treated if there's something wrong ... instead of taking the chance he'll get worse while at WDW. Thanks for the well wishes.
