May 2011: The kids are getting 3rd visit surprise! Now w/pics!

I am so sorry to hear that Seth hasn't gotten better. Please keep me updated on what the pediatrician says.

Great job on one suitcase! Can you come do my packing now? :lmao:

Has the kids missed anything, yet??? :rotfl2:

Yes, you will have to see F! at least once. I thought it was very good and the music in it is so moving, I kind of teared up at one point. But, you know me Tearful TK. I am bursting at the seams with emotions most days.

Loved your plans for this time next week! :thumbsup2

Awwww, sorry to hear your DS isn't feeling better.

I think F! is just one of those things where people love it or hate it. I have my fingers crossed that you won't have to wait long for the show and enjoy it!

Loving the this time next week. I do this every night at the dinner table with DH and Christian once the little ones have gotten up from the table. I started doing it at 3 weeks from now and now I'm doing 2 weeks from now, can't wait to say 1 week from today!

I hope you get to see Fantasmic. I don't know if we got lucky or what but back in 2009 when we went we did not wait in line very long at all, we did get to sit in the handicapped area which was great but I think we only waited maybe 20-30 outside before we were let in. Hope it works for you, if the wait is crazy this trip we will not be attending either, if my DN really wants to see it her and Christian can stay but no way will I wait even an hour.

Oh no, hope your DS is all better before you leave!! :flower3:

Thank you!

You know I'll keep everyone updated. :)

DD has asked where several things are. I just tell her "they aren't clean". :confused3 Or ... "it's your job to keep up with it". :lmao::rotfl2: DS went to wear his Perry-face shirt yesterday and couldn't find it. He had literally seen me take it out of the dryer that morning. I told him to just find something else to wear. He decided he wanted to wear his Atari shirt instead, so it worked out.

I really do want to see it. I'm the type that just loves EVERYTHING WDW, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it. But it will probably be a show that if I can catch it every few years, I'll be content (not a must-do every year). DH, I'm sure, will not like it at all. But that's just him. I'm sure DD will love it. Not so sure on DS.

Thanks for the kind words on my plans! I'm a bit partial to them as well. :p

Thank you! And thank you! I know the more I make DH wait, the more he'll hate it. :lmao: So hopefully it won't be too bad and we can get a seat. We'll see. I'm excited to post back about what happens! :thumbsup2

I can't wait for you to start the "one week from today" either!! :woohoo: It's not far off now!

I don't have anyone to talk WDW with here. It's just me. DH doesn't care, and he'd be just as happy if I said "Hey, let's not go!" :sad2: And since the kids don't know ... its just you guys. :lmao:

I don't blame you for not wanting to wait an hour. We can wait longer if we're sitting, but not standing. And of course, the kids will immediately ask "Can I play your phone?" So they'll want to run down the phone battery if its more than a short wait.

The way I see it, this isn't our last trip (even though I always act like it - because really, you never know). If I don't catch it this year, maybe next year. And if DD really wants to see it, it may just be me and her. The boys can go back to the room. I just hate trying to come up with stuff to kill time until the 10:30 showing. But ... we'll figure something out. :teeth:

This time next week .... (Wednesday edition)

I thought I did this yesterday, but apparently, I got side-tracked. :sad2: It's 3AM here, and I can't sleep. The Disney excitement has already taken over.

So anyway ... here's the post that should have happened yesterday...

This time next week ...
We will be arriving for our full day at MK.
We won't be meeting up with WoW friends this day due to something coming up (but will meet with them the following day at EP).
We will enjoy touring at our own pace.
We will enjoy lunch at Columbia Harbor or Cosmic Rays.
We will do The Pirate's League around noon.
We may break for an afternoon swim if we feel like we've accomplished what we needed to do.
We will skip the 3pm parade.
We will catch at least one MiSiCi Street Party (DD's favorite).
We will have dinner at Tony's Town Square.
We will have met Mickey Mouse.
We will head out of the park before Wishes begins (because we saw Wishes on Sunday night).
We will take a late swim or head to bed, depending on everyone's energy levels.

I feel like we may actually take a break in the afternoon. I feel confident that we will get most everything done before lunch and can utilize FPs in the evening. I've never left a park and re-entered ... so it would be a first. Truly, we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'm hoping to catch PUSH this time around. I've looked for him the past two years with no luck. However, this year, I have a better understanding on when to look. :thumbsup2 I want to catch at least two shows of Monsters Inc. And for the first time, ever, I'd like to ride Dumbo.

I took DS to the doctor. He ended up having double ear and sinus infections. His left ear was in really bad shape, but his right ear was just mildly infected. So its good that I did take him. However, not once did he ever complain his ears or anything else hurt. He's on an antibiotic. They said to keep doing the Mucinex and neb treatments.

In a few hours, I have to go pick up DD's grade card, say goodbye to her teacher, hit the grocery store, and finish up some cleaning. It's our anniversary today, so once DH gets home, he'll shower and we'll go out for a nice date. :cloud9:

I picked up a few more odds and ends for our trip today as well. DS needed some PJs. I thought he had some "summer" ones, but he didn't. :sad2: And DD has been pestering me about needing new shirts. So I let her pick out one today. Guess what she picked out?

Minnie Mouse.

That's my girl. :thumbsup2 It changes colors depending on if you're inside or outside. Camera is packed, so no pics. She had been begging for new shirts - which she knows she needed. She just doesn't know she has a suitcase full of new shirts yet. :lmao: I couldn't tell her either ... she might suspect something if I did. I told her I'd take her shopping again later, but she could get just one today.

DS got P&F PJs. I asked him to pick a 2nd one and held up a TS3 and Mario Bros. He wanted the Mario ones. He said he didn't like TS3 anymore. :confused3 Once I got home, I wished I had checked WM first for his. So tomorrow, I'm hitting WM for some groceries and will check to see if they have some cheaper ones. If so, I'll take those back. I'm already WAAAAAY over budget, so if I can get PJs cheaper, I think I'll do it.

This time next week ...

We will be almost done with our vacation. :sad1:
We will visit Epcot and arrive around RD.
We will meet up with our two WoW friends.
We will enjoy the Storybook Experience at 10:45.
We will enjoy lunch at Teppan Edo at noon.
We will have a nice dinner with our friends at Biergarten around 6.
We will skip the KP Missions, unless our WoW friends want to do one. (We'll do them Saturday instead.)
We will tour at a leisurely pace to enjoy our company. Whatever we don't do this day, we'll do Saturday.
We will watch IllumiNations.
We will begin to pack up at the hotel since we will be checking out early in the AM. :sad1:

Today, I have to get DD's grade card, clean house, and call the cable company. Our bill jumped up $40, so I'm going to have some items removed and possibly lower our internet speed.

I made a few errors in the checkbook - so I have to be cautious with spending for a bit. Once we can get back on even ground, I'll adjust our cable plan back to what we want. Just gotta save a few dollars where we can. Plus, we have all the premium channels and we never watch them. I'm okay with letting all of them go but Showtime. Some of my series start back up in June on HBO ... but I can catch them later. :thumbsup2

I really wish I could sleep. Yay for insomnia. :headache: Not to mention the ... WE ARRIVE IN 3 DAYS excitement!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

I just noticed the time on your last post. You definitely are having trouble sleeping. It must be that last minute packing and getting everything squared away before vacation jitters.

YAY! For 3 more days! :cool1:

OMG can't believe you were up at 3am:scared1: I get like that sometimes, but DH would kill me if I pulled out the laptop in bed, instead I break out the Blackberry and search the net, lol.

3 more days:banana::banana: I'm getting stressed just thinking about being that close to my trip. SO much to do so little time!

I know what you mean about cutting the cable down, we are stuck in a package until August but after that I'm going to cancel the movie channels (or at least I will when True Blood is over for the season, ;)) We have Netflix now and between that and Redbox we never watch HBO or Starz because we've already seen all of the movies.

Don't you hate when insomnia rears its ugly head? UGH.

But I totally understand being too excited to sleep! Your trip is just days away!!! :woohoo:

And Happy Anniversary!

:woohoo: for 3 days!

It's a big combination of things right now. :sad2: But it will all pass soon and I'll be snoozing away at WDW before I know it! :cloud9:

I snuck into the living room and got on my desktop. He was snoozing soundly, so he never noticed. :lmao: I did surf a bit on my iPhone before climbing out of bed ... but figured I couldn't sleep, might as well be productive.

:woohoo: for 3 days! It'll be here before we know it!

True Blood is the only thing I'm upset that I'd be missing. :headache: It's the only show I watch regularly on HBO. And same with movies - we catch them on Netflix. We rarely use the On Demand feature on our DVR. So while I'll miss HBO ... I'm going to keep Showtime (I hope) ... and hopefully when I get a job in August, I can pick HBO up and watch back episodes of TB On Demand. :thumbsup2

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Have a wonderful date night tonight!!!!:lovestruc:love:

Thank you!!

And Happy Anniversary!

I've suffered from insomnia for years ... and I hate taking anything for it, because I get loopy. My doc prescribed Ambien once ... I hallucinated on it. DH found it hilarious, but me - not so much. :sad2: I usually just suffer through it. My body will drop when its ready. I hope. :lmao::rotfl2:

Thank you for the anniversary wishes!

Today, I took DD to get her grade card. I thought I'd wander down to the PK room and say g'bye to DS's teacher. She asked if I had heard about one of the kid's dad. I hadn't heard anything ...

It pains me to say that one of the kid's lost his dad earlier this week. His family really could use some prayers right now. It was just the three of them in the area, they had very little family (and what they had lives far away). They don't have many friends in the area either. So please, any prayers would be most useful to them. I can't imagine what it would be like to try to explain to a child that daddy is gone. :sad1:

Sorry to be a damper on everyone's day ... but this really hits close to home, as the mom was such a sweet woman - and their little family had a ton of love in it. The dad volunteered in the classroom alongside me, so I did get to know this little family. He was a sweet man and will be missed.

Okay, I'm done now.

On the job front ... talked to a birdie today, they're actually going to reclass the job and repost it. So I'll have to reapply and re-interview if I want it. :sad2:

So I'm testing out posting from my phone so I can see what it will be like to get my DIS fix. So far, so good. However, the boards have been quiet today. Not sure what everyone is into. Must be packing!! :thumbsup2

I was thinking the same thing, it is quiet today! I'm going upstairs in a few to do some more late night packing, lol.

BTW - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Hope you had a great day!

Thank you!!! It's been a great day! We went out for a kid-free dinner to Texas Roadhouse. Going to curl up on the couch in a bit. :cloud9:

Maybe everyone will be around tomorrow. :thumbsup2

G'luck with the packing!!!! How much do you have left?

:woohoo: Only 2 days until you are in Disney!! :woohoo:

And even though we just went, I am green with envy!! Hope you have a blast :goodvibes

Glad you had a nice anniversary dinner. DH and I are going out tomorrow night for our 28th anniversary dinner and just found out the restaurant we are going to has "all you can eat crab legs" as the May special. I am in heaven. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

How is your little guy feeling?

And prayers are being sent for that dear family.

Well Happy Anniversary to you as well!!!! :woohoo:

That is awesome that you can take advantage of an "all you can eat" special for Crab Legs!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cloud9:

Thank you for asking about DS. He's doing well. He's hardly coughing and he has yet to complain about anything feeling bad. He's my kid that doesn't know how to be sick. :lmao:

I'm sure the family really appreciates your prayers. Thank you!

This time next week ....

We will have packed up and stored our belongings in the car. :sad1:
We will head to AK for the afternoon.
We hope for the Safari twice.
We will have lunch at Flame Tree BBQ.
We will walk the trails we never knew existed!
We will head out once we are finished with our day.
We'll grab dinner ... somewhere. Probably DTD.
We will check in to our new hotel.
We will explore it for a bit, and maybe take a dip in the pool.
We'll get some nice rest.
