May 2009 code watch

We always go in May, and next year is no exception! I think we leave around the 17th, but not exactly sure yet.

We just switch from July to May for 2009. Went May this year and it was a great time to go. Weather and crowds were wonderful. May 20th-29th!:cool1:

It is also May for us as well. We love going in May, great weather, crowds are not bad except for the tour groups:cool1:

Hello all!!

Planning on a May trip for my sisters 30th Birthday!!! It will be 19 years since she has been to Disney!!! I am soooo excited I can not wait to take her!

Anyone know what general public codes were offered last year for May?

The ticket upgrade was offered for most of May last year for those booking a package. You got the hopper option AND the water parks option added for free to your MYW ticket. I'm hoping for that next year as well(or something even better-wouldn't spring time free dining be nice?:rotfl2: ).

That would be awesome Free dining in zMay !! I did get the ticket upgrade this Feb !! I am still so unsure about going in May for lower crowds but more heat, Feb is value season but cool, and March is good wether but high crowds !!Any thought!!

I personally would lvoe a 40% off discoount... However ticket upgrades would be nice because if they do not offer it, then we will get basic tickets.

I would love a 40% off too. :thumbsup2 That would make the diff between the Poly and a mod.

Planning on May 2-9 for my wife and I to celebrate our 10th anniversary, albeit 2+ weeks early to give my M-I-L a break by doing the trip when the kids would still be in school(they'll be 6, 4-1/2, and 2 at the time).

Count me in for May too! May 4-10 for my son's third bday on May 6. Still very undecided on resorts. Leaning toward monorail resorts but seriously considering the ASMu Family Suites for the extra space and seperate bedrooms so that we can have our own space and our son can have his own space as well (for sleeping anyway).

I was pricing airfare earlier today and if aifares don't come down in the near future (highly unlikey considering the state of the airline industry and the economy in general), I am not sure we will be able to go in May like I had planned. The cheapest I could find was on AA for
1524.00 for 2 adults and 1 child out of DFW. That's 508.00 pp. I take that back....the cheapest I could find was on United for 1001.97 for all three of us but in order to get the absolute cheapest fare, we would have to change planes in DEN and ORD before arriving in MCO. It's traveling in the opposite direction just to get to MCO; not sure I want to do that with a 2 year old.
But I am getting desperate.....I have never been to DEN and was based in ORD when I worked for an airline and not really a big fan of ORD either.

Traveling on AA, we would have to change planes in MIA before arriving in MCO. I despise MIA. So we shall see.

Here's hoping a really great airfare sales happens soon as well as a great code! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm planning on getting the MYW Plus Dining and the park pass with the hopper and deluxe (for waterparks, etc). If they DO decide to do the free upgrades am I out the money since I already booked these tickets or do they credit it back ? I'm debating on whether to hold off on booking my trip after all these codes and offers come out but I don't know when that will be?!?

Glad to see this thread on May codes. We will also be at Disney on May 2-9 at Pop. I would like to know what to do if we already have MYW tickets with park hopper and a code comes out for the park hopper. I would really love a code for Pop to come out for this time.

What about SWA? I know you can't get pricing yet, but aren't they lower? We only fly SWA and are going 5/8-16, so we are budgeting for more, hoping it is way less. Good luck
