May 2009 code watch

we have decided the little one DS11 months will be going to see mickey. we are going to take it slow. and DS5 will get to ride some stuff twice via baby swap.

forgot to mention I finally got a PIN code unfortunately it was not valid for 09. the weird thing was it got sent to my MIL house and we haven't lived there for 10 years and have been to WDW 4 times since then and I always have given them my new address. Oh well I probablly will never get another one now. CM said they were quite random. We are booking with AAA got a quote for $3100.00 with DDP, 8 day water parks and more. the AAA extras (basically you can keep those they are worthless except for the luggage tags). 7 nights at POFQ standard view. and trip insurance. I cant believe the price of a double stroller at wdw $31.00 per day whats the deal with that are they trying to get rid of the stroller rentals or what?

:cheer2: May 22 -28 09 for us!!! Hopefully at CSR. It is a surprise trip for our 7 and 6 yr olds. They think we are not going until October 2009, if we go then.
We are picking them up early the last day of school and driving down. We aren't going to say anything until they ask!

I did this with my DS5(at the time). Nothing beat the moment when he looked at me and said "I think we are a Dinsey World?"

we are so excited but it is so far away. just heard back today about my stroller swap its a go I am on the list. I dont know why I worry everything will be booked or sold out by the time I think of it. so I am doing some very premature planning. I hope I dont burn out. I cant wait to see what the theme will be. donalds birthday would be great I heard he is 75 in 09'

yes you can even if you boooked through AAA you need to call and check for availability unless you went through AAA then they have to call for you. I have a great AAA agent she checks the codes out before even I do. I watch these boards waiting to call her. I think she might lurk on these boards or maybe is even an active posting member. She is awesome.

Awesome!!! I'd love a code too! :thumbsup2 Hopefully we'll hear something fairly soon. :hyper:

We are planning a trip May 2-9 with 12 other family members! I haven't booked anything yet, but we should be very soon! I am subbing here to watch for any type of discount!

Yay for May! Me and husband to be are disneymooning May 17th - 21st and some good codes would be great! After a wedding we could use all the savings we can get.

I guess I just have a question or 2. Right now we have room only, is it best to go ahead and add the package we want now (and switch to standard room as we had reserved preferred but I don't think we really need preferred) and call later to any codes that come out? Also can you just use one code? I saw that there are several out for certain dates, i'm sure some of them have restrictions, but if I book a code that comes out in Feb (for example) but then a better one comes out in March, can I call and change?

We are going in May. My DH, DS, and I were going to go in Dec. but we don't have enough time to pay it off. We will go in May for our 3rd anniversary. I think our dates will be May 17-23. We're excited. Anyone know when these codes usually come out and if my dates may be included? Thanks!

I'm thinking about going in May also (9-17th) - I'd like to stay at Coronado Springs. I think I'll just do room and tickets this time. (no dining plan unless I can happen to get a free plan!)

Hooray for May! :cheer2: I just subscribed to this thread. My DH and I Disneymooned in May back in 1999 and we had a ball! The crowds were low, the restaurants were empty, and the only ride we had to wait in line for was Space Mtn. We were even lucky enough to be nearly the only people in Artist Point and got special attention from the chef. He happened to be trying out new recipes that evening, so in addition to the free champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries that seemed to be the normal honeymoon gifts at the time, we got to sample about 10 different dishes in addition to our super yummy dinner. It was an absolute dream come true for us.

Now we're going back to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and we get to introduce our DS to WDW at the same time. What could be better! :cloud9: I saw a list somewhere that listed when discounts came out in previous years and what travel dates they applied to. Now I'm holding my breath until February and March to apply some discounts to my ressies.

Good luck to everyone for finding codes! pixiedust:

We might be going. We were planning a June trip for Star Wars mainly for our DS but he's decided that it's not a big thing anymore. We're thinking if we go in the first two weeks of may we cover a 5th, 3rd and 1st birthday.
Does anyone know if this is a good time to visit?

Hi y'all -
Another May traveler here. DH, DD5 and I will be at WDW April 30-May 9. We'll spend several nights at CSR and then move to AKL club level. Hoping codes show up to beat the rates we already have. Totally thrilled about our first trip to WDW. My princess is going to love it (and so will I) and even DH will have fun - who can't? We're hoping for room only codes so my fingers are crossed.

We're going in May as well!! May 9-23!!

I have a question though, we are going for 2 full weeks, 14 days! ...but online, tickets only go up to 10 days. Does that mean it's more economical to buy an AP?

I haven't been to Disney since '97 :( But when we did go then, our room keys were our park tickets, and we had admission for the entire length of our stay. I didn't see an option to do that this time. (not past 10 days at least).
